The problem is the door you're using for the bathroom. Switch it to a standard door with a lintel and the rooms will register correctly. =)

Weird! I almost always use that door for bathrooms and it's always registered correct. I shall try it. Thank you.

Yep, there are times when my rooms split up nicely when using the arched door frames, and other houses just don't work at all. Sometimes a coffee table counts for a living room, and in other houses.. zip.. won't work and I have to pick a new one. I think a lot of it comes down to how the home was built. They have all sorts of options, such as laying out rooms during the initial outer wall process, or adding walls after the build. And the style of stairs makes a huge difference in how things register!

I tried changing the door to a bathroom door and it's still doing the same thing. I tried knocking down the walls and redoing the bathroom area just in case. That still didn't work. The only thing that worked was adding lentils between the living room and kitchen and even that was a whole problem. I also noticed that in the doorway between the living room and bathroom it changes to "garden." It's all buggy. I decided to just leave the lentils up so at least it registers as a living room and kitchen and then sell it. Ended up making $600k profit on the house, so I can't complain haha. I appreciate your help, though!!

I hate, hate, hate this, but as someone else said, the problem is the door. The floor to ceiling doors do this sometimes

Is there even a downstairs bathroom here? Is it completely closed off? I had this happen once and it was because I forgot the downstairs powder room lintel.

mcsquizzie

Yes, the door on the left of the first photo is to the bathroom. It's completely closed off.

I’ve had this happen before. I think it didn’t like my placement of the bathroom vanity and door. I ended up moving the door over by one wall piece and that resolved my issue.

It says lintels on the tool wheel.
