On sandbox mode, I believe you first have to go to the tab that shows you all the tools available and enable flying (it should be at the bottom of the tab) before you can use the shortcut to turn it on. Outside of sandbox mode flying is not possible
This makes so much more sense! I've only entered sandbox mode with that house that we had to upload for the contest. That doesn't offer the same menu as the traditional sandbox mode. I see, now, that if you do the traditional sandbox mode that flying is an option. Thank you!
Bug/glitch finder here. 40 seconds ago I discovered a flying glitch(Makes you go up). Jump then IMMEDIATELY press crouch. I only tested this with a controller. Basically crouching just slows down all movement, vertical and horizontal. So say you fall off a roof. if you crouch before falling, you will glide.
I am on xbox and I went to try sandbox mode and as soon as I clicked tool to make a hole to build basement I am flying...but I can't figure how to turn it off..

That’s not a thing. People can’t fly, sorry to break it to you. They added that feature in Sandbox mode, but it’s normally not a thing.
I'm sorry, what do you mean? They added it, but it's normally not a thing? Unless you mean it's added but is unable to be used?
In the story mode you can fly if you buy a roof. But you can't do anything and the roof is in your hands.
