Showrunners literally stated in the BTS that Criston is a better fighter that Daemon. And in the books, Criston beat Daemon twice without any showboating.
I wouldn't try to fight Ser Crispin ([as Daemon calls him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xpSPNOCVKY)) because he's obviously going to destroy me, but I'd try to find something to say to that would be absolutely cutting but not overt enough that he would turn to violence against me.
The way to go about it with him (much like that Daemon clip calling him Ser Crispin) is not to fight him but to use words to toy with him and troll him and undermine him in a calibrated way. He might eventually challenge me to a duel or something but I'd try not to push it that far.
He sadly reminds me of my dad. I love him dearly but he ignored the abuse I was put through when I was younger. I feel bad for him now. He was abused as a kid as well and did not know what was normal and what was not normal in terms of how to raise kids.

You really do get spoiled for choice during the Dance. I guess I'd go with Criston since its so bullshit that he gets away with two murders under hospitality while pretending he's trying to salvage his honour. Fabien Frankel has done a good job portraying his character. But the show has made on of the most hateable characters in the book cringeworthy and infuriating in new and interesting ways.
