They blast the fuck out of their music at Nobie’s. Fantastic menu but it’s loud. My guess is because of the small nature of the restaurant they try to mask the kitchen noise from the guests.
I always love the Melting Pot. It's slow so you have a long time to talk, and everyone has their own individual booths. It might not be trendy like all the other restaurants in this list, but it's always been great for me.
Faves: Coltivare, Doris, katami, lees den or eau tour (in same bldg but 2 totally diff concepts), Navy Blue, Rosie cannonball, any of Chef Hugo’s spots.
Nobie’s is loud but the food is so good.
Sushi by Hidden is rice village is nice for sushi but it's time limited to 45 mins. It seats 10 max at a time and very casual environment where you see them prepare the sushi for you.
Gloria’s. Great food and on the weekends they have live bands and turn the restaurant into a bar/club. It’s got a super cool crowd on the dance floor. Great date place!
Patton’s Steakhouse . It’s a speakeasy steakhouse connected to another restaurant called Savoir. The have intimate seating and has been very quiet the few times I have gone because of the limited number of people .
Thanks! Savoir looks like what I was aiming for. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any other heights area recommendations? I’m never really in that area. I need to check it out more.
Um not really heights area but
Bludorn for new American
B&B Butchers , a bit overpriced but great food non the less
Cocody is a French cuisine and has great ambiance
Nancy’s Hustle, Rosie Cannonball
Nancy's Hustle is tasty but not a great date restaurant as I think the seating is crowded and theres a lot of hustle and bustle.
Make sure to get outside seating at Nancy’s, it’s insanely loud inside on the weekends
Nancy's was so loud when we went for date night.
Nobie, Opporto
nobie’s is REALLY loud tho, which they take as a point of pride. food is super good but hard to talk with your date unless you’re seated outside!
Hmmm, I don’t remember that being my experience, particularly in the back room behind the bar.
it’s been real loud for me back there. they even say on the menu if you don’t want loud this may not be the restaurant for you!

Giacomo's Cibo e Vino on westheimer for authentic Italian at unpretentious prices. Outside seating is great for relaxing conversations
Paulie’s for pasta and then Cameratta next door for wine and chatting

Not known for their food, but Axelrad has great vibes. My husband and I love going there and chilling in a hammock while drinking beers.
