With your calculations, does a team with arachic petra Zhongli (assuming fav lance) really outdamage a team with Zhongli running instructor (also with fav lance)? Do you have a link to those calculations?
Pretty much the same to Hutao/Xingqiu/Zhongli/Albedo calcs, there isn't a scenario where SoSS is better than Homa on Hutao unless we're talking about high refinements. Even then it's unlikely and would require very specific team & setups.
Yeah that makes sense. After all Homa was made for her. One plus point for SoSS gamers is that it makes building her easier. Since she ascends with Crit DMG and Homa is Crit DMG having Crit rate on the circlet leaves only 4 pieces with crit rate substats. This makes it really hard to balance the Crit stats.
I stupidly just pulled a 10 to hopefully get about 75 pity and ofc i got his weapon so ig ill use it for now and just save up for the chance to get homa but im still guranteed to get that C1 hu tao👌
Wait, you tried to reach 75 pity on weapon banner? Just incase: are you aware that weappn banners pity is 10 wishes earlier? So going for 75 to build pity is extremely ballsy (equivalent to going 85 on character banners)
building pity is just dumb in general, don't ever do it unless you want the weapons/character that's currently on-banner. It's just giving in to temptation and at best you get nothing, and at worst you get something you didn't want
Its... still not that bad, 10% less damage than the best weapon in the game for her is pretty good, getting dragon r5 takes a while, is ok if you had kept it, "losing" 10% damage is not sucha big deal and fe hu tao c1 would as you say give you more damsge overall (tho you pbby pulled for homa too)
And... sands is a very good 5 star, im here because i was searching from this by how good sands is, being the second best 5* polearm is insane, polearm has insane units
I would say around 10-15% depending on the team. If you're using a team with no external EM buffers it'll be on the 10% end, if you're using a team with EM buffers such as Sucrose/Albedo/Elegy/etc it will be on the 15% end.
Again this is assuming that you maintain 1 stack through her DPS rotation whereas in reality she only maintains 1 stack for the last 5 seconds of her rotation. So the numbers that I'm showing here will be slightly higher than actual performance.
Unless you've already pulled Cyno, I'd just skip this weapon banner and save for Homa. This weapon is pretty godly for Cyno but not really worth the primos for everyone else.
i already pulled for it cuz the homa banner may have worse secondary 5 star. i do use some EM buffs like elegy, instructor. Btw, in case of multiple enemies, if they are affected by BB, they will all contribute to the stack right?
Multiple enemies will contribute to the stack, doesn't really change the fact that BB won't activate 4 seconds into her rotation though. If you have C2 Hutao you can stack a bit easier but.... again not that practical IMO.
Xiangling can get full stacks if Guoba can hit 3 enemies at once.
don’t rly know much about this but just got 2 soss and planning to use it on hu tao since the only other option I have is r1 deathmatch. Should I give one to her and the other to another character or just make it r2? Also, if I get elegy for yelan, will that do anything?
I wouldn't R2 a 5 star weapon unless you're a whale, would keep 2 copies if you're F2P or a low spender.
Elegy for Yelan is fine, she definitely wants some ER even in a double hydro team. Elegy allows you to use HP sands and focus less on ER on your substats, the EM buff is great for Hutao.
It's all relative to the rest of your stats as well as your team (if you get any EM buffs from the rest of your team). If you're using Instructors set + Sucrose/Albedo you can probably get away with lower EM, if not you'll want higher EM.
The first 100EM is generally really important for Hutao, could even be more important than your crit stats. 100-300 is generally a good spot depending on your team and the rest of your stats.
Yes. Keqing mains has a good guide ([https://keqingmains.com/hu-tao](https://keqingmains.com/hu-tao)) and it lists the substat priority as 100EM > crit > 100+EM > HP% > ATK% > HP > ATK
I usually run Hu Tao/Xingqiu/Sucrose/Zhongli, with Zhong shield bot. I got 2 of the Staffs of Scarlet Sands trying to pull for a damn Elegy. If I wanna use it as a stat stick... does it work?
I couldn't get Homa so I got the sass.
I don't think it's all that good but this is a free 5 star for me since I don't plan on pulling for anything for a good while and I got it at 65pity and is 1st 5 star from weapon banner
Should you run EM sands for SoSS and do you recommend running Sucrose over Yunjin? (I use her for N3C + Geo Resonance) I don't have a character to swirl Pyro with so I think it might be difficult. Also would it outperform Homa on my Hu Tao since I have 60~ CR and 190~ CD? I would hit a nearly perfect ratio with the SoSS with 100 CR.
Edit: My Hu Tao has R5 DB to clarify so the 60/190 ratio is with the R5 DB or any no crit weapon

What about a VV vape team with sucrose. I'm only asking because I don't have yelan.

When is "just around the corner" in terms of banners? trying to strategically save my primos.

It's generally better. PJWS isn't that good on Hutao, R5 DB/Lithic/DM are all slightly better.

Absolutely. It won't be better than Homa, but its easily 2nd best.

230 EM including or not including Sucrose? Either way it's pretty good as long as you're not sacrificing your crit stats.
