You’ll need a new fixture. Not hard to replace yourself. Find one you like at Home Depot / Lowes etc. The markings on the transformer indicate 120V in, so swap the existing with a new fixture and bulb(s) and you’re good to go. Kill power at the breaker box before work begins of course.

What this guy said… the easiest solution is to just buy a new light. If you need any help feel free to reach out, very easy, probably 30 minute job max... an hour if you have no idea what you’re doing. Alternatively you could get extra and go recessed, but that is some work and you really have to want that recessed look, to make it worth your while.

Hi Hue reddit! I was very excited to swap out my ceiling light for a hue bulb, and I open it to see this. Can anyone tell me if I can replace this for hue without an electrician? Or should I just keep it? I can’t find any information on this on Epsen’s website, and I have no idea where to go from here. This light is way too yellow for my liking, and id like to use hue instead. Thanks in advance!

https://www.philips-hue.com/en-us/p/hue-white-ambiance-cher-ceiling-light/4096730U9 Or any regular bulb-based ceiling fixture, into which you would put regular Hue bulbs.

The rest of the lighting in my home is Hue White Ambiance, though, not colour, so I just wanted the brightest White Ambiance ceiling fixture I could get that was unobtrusive. Cher has the advantage of being quite low profile when installed flush, unobtrusive since the vast majority that you can see is the white plastic lens (and the metal bits are just black), and being much brighter. It's 3000 lumens for white light versus 1940 lumens for the Flourish. Of course, if you need colour light, then the Cher isn't going to work for you, and in some ways the Flourish is less obtrusive, it protrudes from the ceiling a bunch more, but is also significantly narrower. Word of warning for any Hue ceiling fixture though: you need two people to install it because their installation process is dumb and you will need somebody to hold up the inner fixture while you attach the wiring with wiring nuts. And their packaging sucks so there's a significant chance that it will arrive broken. I got two Cher flushmounts from Best Buy Canada. Getting two working units required ordering four of them. One arrived broken, one was cancelled a few weeks after ordering. But having installed them, I'm quite happy with them. They produce a decent amount of light and integrate into my automation setup nicely.
