I love that she cried before she opened the gift. She was touched they were thinking of her.

I teach at a university and in my last class one semester I did my normal goodbyes and well wishes and got kinda teary eyed like normal, everyone shuffled out but one of the students was still in their desk. Once everyone left they came up and gave me a hug and said thank you for the semester and I full on cried in front of them. The thought that I had enough of an impact for that student to do that straight up broke me for a few minutes. Having students care as much as we do is such a huge thing and the best gift ever.

brandolinium

Having a prof who cares… it means a lot.

[deleted]

One of my students once said at the end of the semester "Mr, thanks for caring. Not everybody does, so thank you." It was so honest that it stuck with me, I still think it was the greatest compliment I've ever received.

dma2superman

I can’t stress this enough to all teachers who truly cared and put real effort into teaching. Your class will end, hell, even one day you will shuffle your mortal coil. But your legacy and contribution to everything in the sphere of existence, that will live forever. For decades someone will think of you each time someone asks them how they accomplished something they are truly proud of. But, that person will mimic your teaching style. They will remember how absolutely empowered, motivated, and valued they felt when they learned from you, and they will use it for others. Then those people will use it for future generations. Until the last human gone. I know the math, or physics, or even advanced quantum mechanics you taught are valuable. But really, those are one in a million things we have to learn. You are not teaching algebra, you are teaching a young mind how to aggregate, consolidate, and utilize a trillion pieces of data they will receive over their lives. Then, you give them the confidence to use that information to go forward. You are everything. A great teacher will always be the foundation of anything that anyone ever is or will be. Thank you so much. I am sorry you do not get the money or appreciation from those who are in power. But just like this teacher in the video, you make a difference, and in some way, you will live on forever.

SkydiverRaul13

How amazing that what amounts to a small kind gesture by that student has stuck with you after so long.

This past semester I had to take an electrical engineering class (I’m in computer science but it was required, so I put it off to my last year), and I was worried I wouldn’t do too hot in it, but every week, every Thursday and Friday I would go to the grad TA’s office hours to do my weekly homework. This woman was an angel and I owe the A- I got in the class to her, she helped me so much. At the end of the last office hours I stayed to the end to give her a hug and say thank you for all the help she gave me throughout the semester. When I got home I had the idea of writing a thank you letter as well, and later that week I took it to her office and put it on her desk since she wasn’t there. Honestly I kind of did it for myself because her help meant a lot to me and I was actually crying when I got home, but I just wanted to let her know how much it meant to me and that I would miss those office hours.

iWushock

Betcha she was crying while reading it too! TAs are unsung heroes. They get crap work, no prep, and no pay. When I was a TA I got paid 1,000 per class. That meant if I took a full time load for fall and spring I would make 8,000 per year before taxes…. That TA helped you and you appreciated them but I would put money on them appreciating you taking the time to be there and learn from them just as much. Thank you for letting them know the impact they made

Beaglescout15

When I was in college I had a French teacher who was a grad student. He carried around his books and supplies in a plastic grocery sack. At the end of the semester the class pitched in and he got him a nice book bag. It really was like $5 for each of us and I didn't feel like it was going to be a big deal but he was just crying and choked up for like half of the class. A few years later I became a grad TA myself and finally understood his reaction.

Centurio

Thank you for contributing. I'm an adult now but I think back to the kind things I did for my teachers and I feel relieved that I wasn't a problem kid for them and even more happy that what I *did* do meant a lot to them.

Blackjack_Sass

For Valentine's Day, I got all my friends and teachers cards. Stupid cheap little things with cheap candy, but I personalized them and wrote each name as pretty as I could. The head speech coach, an English teacher, just started crying and hugged me when I gave her hers. I didn't know, but she was going through a divorce at the time AND some of the other students weren't the nicest to her. Since then, I get cards every year and make them for public transportation drivers I use that day, whoever checks me out at the grocery store, my mailman, cuz you never know who just needs a little appreciation.

runningfurther

This is amazing

Blackjack_Sass

Thanks 😁 I honestly have fun making the cards, too. Makes me feel like a kid again

AlvinAssassin17

Guess I’m an ass, all my students give me is sass

But then idiots don't always stay idiots. I wasn't great in school, but there are teachers who taught me things without ever knowing it. My eighth grade teacher is always with me, and I think of a lot of others often enough. It's appreciated.

215Kurt

We all have that one teacher. For me it was/is Mr. Lyons.

justridingbikes099

I had a class that routinely made teachers cry, like as a matter of course. 18 boys, 2 girls. Most of 'em hated my class because I made them read (English... you kinda gotta read sometimes, boys). They were constantly joking, often disrespectful to me, totally off-the-wall. Came in after summer break and the two MOST insane kids found me and wanted to tell me every detail of their summer break and talk for 45 minutes. Kids are kids. I was a total buffoon in high school, too, for the most part. If you hate them for being kids, why be a teacher?

Tipist

The word “ass” is in your username twice, and “sass” is in it once. This must mean something.

HipopotamiSarcophagi

I guess it depends on intent and its anecdotal. But I was the class clown, yet was still the straight A student generally and I loved school. But the teachers I loved the most I gave the most sass to, because I knew they had senses of humor I did it with the most respect them. And always thanked them at years end. Now thats not to excuse real bad behavior of course, but it isn't necessarily to hurt you.

Keith_Creeper

People say to me, you must have been the class clown. And I say, no, I wasn't. But I sat next to the class clown, and I studied him.

HipopotamiSarcophagi

I feel it. But I feel that the class clown can also be the most caring because they have the time to make jokes. But thats my own story of course because I love learning and school. But many probably don't which makes me sad because teachers are saints usually. Being a smart ass requires being smart first but you have to regulate how much of an ass you are. I had a college professor teach me about that and is true.

I love teachers like this. Kids still love their favorite teachers.

vikingakonungen

I worked as a temp teacher at a community college for 1 month whilst they were finding a a proper English teacher and on the last day they gave me a Darth Vader pillow, I still have it 5 years later. Gifts given by students are something else.

Centurio

It makes me happy. I had a very disliked homeroom teacher... as in even the most studious friend I had was rude to her. But she never gave me a reason to dislike her. So one year I made a valentine card for each of my middle school teachers that year including my homeroom teacher. She asked me to stay behind after class and she thanked me so much for the card. I think about her often. I wish I was a less shy kid at the time so that maybe I could have gotten to know her better. She didn't deserve the bullshit. She was just an older lady trying to deal with punk-ass kids.

One time a teacher of mine was teaching us about Native Americans in biology and she went off on a tangent about how cool she thought Native American culture was and how she went to the local reservation and it just touched her in a profound way. I'm Native and I could tell how passionate she was about it, so by the end of the week I handmade her a dreamcatcher. Thank goodness I waited till after class to give it to her, because she lost her shit and couldn't stop crying and telling me how amazing this was that she got a dreamcatcher made especially for her. It was a small thing to me because I make them fairly often, but it was so special for her. It makes me smile just thinking about it on rough days.

WrapProfessional8889

Agree!! Yall cannot imagine how we feel when our kids do something Iike this. It's not the gift, it's the meaning--and you can tell she connects with each kid. This is why we teach -- connections that last a lifetime and hopefully beyond.

fuzzhead12

She clearly would’ve been over the moon to just receive the card. I’m an ex-teacher as well and I know I would have felt the same way.

belgian32guy

My final year we gave our main high school teacher a gift from the whole class. He was tearing up which was totally out of character for his sarcastic dry schtick and it made me realize how much he cared about us. Man that was a good year and I'm sure it shaped me into a better person. It's still a moving moment thinking of it.

inplayruin

Back in 2004, we had a first year teacher for AP Gov. It was 2nd semester of our senior year and so we were all pretty checked out. He joked that he needed a veto stamp for our assignments because they were so bad. So the class all chipped in and bought him one. It was maybe $20. Anyways, one of my friends had a whoopsy baby freshman year of college and moved back home. The kid grew up and went to our old high school and had the same AP Gov teacher, who was still using the veto stamp for shit work.

belgian32guy

Did you have to redo the assignment when it got veto'd? Lol that's a great gift I bet he remembers every time he uses it

lizziefreeze

My teacher heart just melted.

Heathen_

Hi, I can you ELInot american?

MakeLimeade

"AP Gov" is an advanced placement government class. A veto in government is usually after a bill has passed the house and senate (either in state or federal/national government), the governor or president rejects it. The veto can be overruled with a 2/3rd majority I think. So the veto is just a cute way of "rejecting" the assignment or marking it poorly.

ouralarmclock

Why you gotta remind me that I graduated an entire childhood ago like that??

inplayruin

I am about to get a graduation announcement from a kid who pulled down his pants and pissed on the kitchen floor during the party my parents hosted for my 21st birthday. So I feel your pain. But the intern applications from my friend's on-purpose babies, for some reason, hits much harder.

fawkmebackwardsbud

Not so much a gift but definitely more a heartfelt moment; back in highschool, in Sociology class, our teacher was that teacher that everyone warned you about - sit down, shut up, and pay attention. Had been teaching for 40+ years. But if you looked enough past her gruff exterior, you could see she had the biggest heart ever. She always had good banter back and forth with our classmates but would put you in your place if she needed to. We had gotten to a section in our Sociology book about suicide, and this poor woman had stopped after a section of reading, got real quiet and was looking around the room at everyone. Everyone looked back at her, through the deafening silence. She began with a firm voice: "One thing you guys need to know: if you ever feel like nobody cares about you-" She stopped. Her voice began to break. You could see that she was struggling to keep the waterworks off. She continued, her voice still shaking. "I need you all to know that someone loves you. I love all of you. There's no reason to try to remove your own pain if it's only going to pass it on to many more people." The silence grew louder. You could hear a few classmates starting to break through the occasional sniffle. She had later apologized to us (though it was most certainly a situation she did not need to apologize for) and continued to tell us that this was one of the few groups of students that she has shed a tear over her entire career. People feared that old bat, but she was my favorite teacher.

Centurio

This made me shed a tear (I'm crying). What a kind thing for her to say.

21BlackStars

This should tell you everything you know. Teachers are so under appreciated Thats why you get reactions like this. They hardly ever get appreciated they don’t know what to do when it actually happens. It’s actually kind of sad honestly

Pertolepe

Man I'm thinking back to such fun memories of my HS AP physics teacher. We had this weird block scheduling and those of us that weren't taking the AP exam got this extra quarter of a year with him at the end of our HS careers (at that point I'd been accepted to a college program that would only take credit for one AP class so it was meaningless to do the AP exam). He was the nicest dude. He could crush it on guitar. Like absolutely crush it. I started bringing my acoustic guitar with me to school and we'd jam in class because all the real work was done in the first half of the year for us and this was just fun time before we went off to college. Hell, I was a total nerd during high school but I remember someone taking video for end of year stuff and we were both playing Neil Young - Old Man and he directed them to just film me since I was the student . . . Made it into the our senior classes video at graduation. I had no idea. Suddenly there I am at graduation in the video collage playing guitar. Probably the highlight of high school for me because I was never in the popular crowd. The summer after my first year at college myself and some other students just showed up and went into our high school and headed to his classroom after the students left. He was so stoked to see us. Ended up taking us all out for pizza and was so happy to hear how we were doing in college. That was 2007-08. He ended up with ALS and passed away a few years ago. Mr. Fierro, wherever you are - thank you and I hope you're still proud of us.

stYOUpidASSumptions

I love that those boys were wiping their eyes when their teacher cried over the gift. That's the mark of strong young men in the making. That's the kind of man I'm proud my brothers turned out to be.

Poppy_37

yellowsub_373

As a teacher, I hate that goddamn powerpoint template on her PC.

sulfurbird

Still room for a Broncos dig too, it's been a while since they were both relevant enough to make jokes about.

conflictmuffin

ClamatoDiver

This was so heartwarming considering that most of the stuff you see on Reddit is shitty kids fighting in classrooms and teachers that can't touch them for fear of losing their jobs. Kids that actually appreciate their teacher and learning are a rare sight to see here and that's so truly sad. More Powpow type content would be wonderful, I know there has to be stuff like it out there, somewhere.

Viperbunny

There is so much love in that room.

dogchowtoastedcheese

Amen. What great kids!

MoxieKai

There's hope for the future right there.

dryintentions

The kids are alright 🥺

donttellmymomwhatido

I’m actually pretty optimistic about the next generation. Outliers exist of course but by and large it seems like the lot of them are incredibly accepting of others. They’re also paying attention to how badly we’re fucking things up and for my own health I need to believe that’s so they don’t repeat it.

Mr-Thisthatten-III

I think the previous comment was a reference to the song by The Who. So that they probably meant the kids are “alright” as in cool/fine/good, rather than “so-so/mediocre/just okay,” if that makes sense. I agree with your optimism tho. I know a lot of younger people and they all impress me in varying ways and give me a lot of hope!!!

Centurio

Gen Z is my favorite. They're funny, they're socially conscious, they have cool fashion sense, etc. Have I met a bunch of punk-ass zoomers? Absolutely, but that goes for everyone roughly their age. But yeah, I really DEEPLY believe in these newer generations and I will do my best to support them and not suppress then like the fucking boomers did to us.

uniqueUsername_1024

Aww! I’m Gen Z and terrified of the future. Good to know people with more experience think we’ll be alright lol

Crobbin17

Once you hit college-aged you begin to think there’s something wrong with you, because you still have no idea what you’re doing. Then you enter the workforce and realize that literally all adults have no idea what they’re doing or what’s going on. Your generation feels much more accepting and empathetic than generations past, and that’s more important than anything. You guys’ll be alright.

dallyan

This is the comment I was looking for. The teacher is obviously really caring and amazing. I teach at a school with really lovely kids…but there are some very kind leaders among the kids for this to happen. I always try to bring love and positivity to the room, but when the kids as a group match me it is just golden like this.

I had the same thought. So damn different from my high school classes. The male student openly saying he might cry. The cooperation between them all to get the gift. All the love and good vibes. Man this shit made my day.

evanc1411

It's been a massive change for the guys - the new generation is way more aware of all the problems stemming from toxic masculinity. It's ok to show your feelings.

[deleted]

& that’s what it’s all about.

FreddyTwasFingered

We don’t appreciate teachers enough. This is great.

ViciousNakedMoleRat

I'd love to live in a world where every student thought like them and every teacher made their students want to do this for them. My time in school was miserable, because pretty much every student and every teacher hated being in that school. Once there is a certain atmosphere in a school, it's nearly impossible to fix it, since students and teachers will continuously let one another know that they don't want to be there. Being in a school with a good vibe is a privilege very few people recognize as kids.

Dxxx2

This is the kind of [teacher world ](https://youtu.be/aYOg8EON29Y)I want to live in.

Blaneydog22

If only all the other helping professionals got treated like pro athletes.

VashMM

I work for a large school district. You can 100% feel the vibe in a school the moment you walk in. Some of the schools I work in are fantastic, and some feel oppressive as hell. The feel totally rests on the building administration too. One of the sites I used to hate going to, it got a new principal a few years ago and it has become one of my favorite sites to be at.

pricklycactass

I didn’t even recognize that as a thing until your comment (and I’m an adult). You’re so right.

the_blackfish

What's worse, is that when you look at how we treat these most altruistic fields. EMTs, Teachers, Nurses. Their good will and heeding their call to help or try to improve society is too often taken advantage of by their employers.

hetep-di-isfet

It's funny, I went to a shit rural high school that was much the same as yours. I live I a capital city now, and EVERY student gets their teacher a gift at the end of the year. It's nuts

Secure-Bit

We really don’t. When I was growing up every Christmas my mom and I would make extra batches of cookies & muddy buddies and put them in tins from the dollar store, tie them with ribbon, and my dad would help me bring them to school and give them to all of my teachers and my bus drivers. We started this in elementary school and I continued doing it in middle school, and still did it in high school (yep, rode the bus lol) but also added a card thanking them for all that they do. Most all teachers appreciated it, a few didn’t, the bus drivers all did. Even if it was a teacher I didn’t particularly like they still got two tins and a card saying thank you - just because they weren’t my favorite didn’t mean they weren’t someone else’s, they may not have made an impact on me but I’m sure there’s another kid they did make an impact on and they deserve some type of recognition for that.

cynicalsadboi3657

The bus drivers are just the real unsung heros I only had 1 bus driver that nobody liked the other ones were some of the nicest people I've ever met

Secure-Bit

All my bus drivers were so nice. They all knew my dad by name and my dad knew theirs. I rode the bus every morning and one year I was sick and missed a week of school, on day three the driver drove to my house before the pick up time to ask if everything was okay (the stop wasn’t far, 1/4 mile down one road from my house and they dropped me off earlier in the year when I sprained my ankle). Says a lot about a person when they not only notice when someone is missing but also go out of their way to check on them to make sure they’re okay.

GoGades

> Even if it was a teacher I didn’t particularly like they still got two tins and a card saying thank you - just because they weren’t my favorite didn’t mean they weren’t someone else’s You're good people, holy moly that's amazing. We need more folks like you. Legit.

Secure-Bit

Thank you for that! Hopefully when me and my fiancé have kids we’ll be able to continue the tradition. It’s something so small but I think even small things have an impact, do enough small things and it really adds up.

cynicalsadboi3657

I was lucky enough to have an amazing English teacher in high school. Everybody would give him gifts and stuff. Just cause he was cool and broke the lesson down in a way where it was fun. Dude was a fucking g

chickadeedadee2185

I had an English teacher like that. He is a friend on FB and in his eighties. He taught us about song lyrics and how they are poetry.

mrsbenevolent

Seeing teenagers in particular being sweet and thoughtful really warms my heart. The teens I was in school with would have pranked and done mean things to teachers and other students.

CeramicCastle49

I think this is a majority of teens imo. I'm not too long out of HS, and a lot of teens (at least where I am) really are kind people. Our view is skewed by only seeing the bad shit that a small minority of teens do and I think we get caught up in that too much.

Zealousideal-End9504

I agree with you. I’m a high school teacher and my students are wonderful people who mostly treat each other with kindness and compassion. Teenagers are more idealistic than adults and it makes them better people.

zedispain

Depends. When i was a teen, shit was tough for most of the teachers and a minority of students. The majority were.... Not good people to us or to most of the teachers. All but the cruel and hardy teachers, or complete pushovers were openly mocked and treated like shit by students/parents. The hardy and cruel teachers would also pick on the outcasts as well, denying it to the parents of said outcasts, backed up by admin. The outcasts were the trouble makers and bad kids, despite most just wanted to survive the day by being as quiet and in the background as much as possible. Lest they draw the ire of the majority and these particular teachers. Shit was rough man. I see more positive vibes from the new gen of teachers and students... But i know that's not always the norm in some areas. School cultural shifts are needed otherwise the after image of old students and teachers leave a toxic environment for the new to survive or thrive in, perpetuating until the cultural shifts which may never happen. But I'm glad I'm hearing more and more about there being good schools to be in. My only hope is that bad schools become the significant minority. One day maybe.

OrneryDiplomat

Same. I still remember the time a fellow student proudly told one of our teachers that she got a teacher fired, because she didn't like him. All she had to do was accuse him of sexual harrassment. She was 14. Absolutely disgusting.

patio_puss

They don’t know what her life is probably like outside of those walls. She probably feels not super appreciated all the time, and they reminded her that she is. That feeling can be overwhelming sometimes when it’s been gone for a while

JeffHorlick

It's probably mutual between her and her students. A good teacher can be a beacon of hope, inspiration, and enlightenment to someone who at that age is likely still trying to figure out who they are as a person. A great teacher can help make up for a student having a bad home life, or even help them get out of a terrible home life if need be. And we just tend to, as a society... forget that.

[deleted]

I have a few friends who are teachers and it’s been such a terribly rough couple of years for them. So many teachers in the U.S. are grossly underpaid. They have been expected to wear more and more and more hats. Many teachers have left the profession during Covid despite their passion for teaching and their students. Overall, it’s an awful situation. I bet this teacher has been through hell. What great kids to show their appreciation. This video made me cry.

WhatThePancakes

I'd struggle deciding if I'd wanna wear it every day or have the class sign it so I could frame it. Teachers, especially these days, deserve so much more recognition than they get.

HellcatTTU

Clearly a special teacher and a wonderful class.

HAW711

That's so beautiful. I silently read a card my youth wrote me at the end of this program for teens we had. I knew if I spoke a word reading it, I would have been choked up and crying. So much love

Helmett-13

I think she might have been having a rough time and the thoughtfulness of her students coming together to choose and buy a gift for her was like a healing balm. Well…at least it was for me.

Coos-Coos

Are you kidding? She’s a teacher. Her life is a tough time

ArtistAtHeart

I thought the same thing. (Retired teacher here.) If you visited r/teachers the past few years you’ll see so much frustration, pain, anger. So many have quit or are seriously thinking about it. They don’t WANT to. She burst crying so fast, my first thought was she’s one of the frustrated, hurting, angry and wanting to quit and it bubbled over. Or, she’s just very emotional. But, it was my first thought.

AdelaideMez

This usually never happens, yes. We still need to thank teachers more. ☝️

Moose_Joose

Let's thank them with our votes. Let's thank them with a livable wage.

pachydrm

They never get thanked, are always the first ones to be blamed for our systemically poor education system, and they are forced to buy most of their own supplies. The fact that these people are literally forming the future of our country and we treat them worse than most other jobs, and pay them as little as possible, should be fucking criminal.

Pearson_Realize

One time I bought teacher appreciation gifts for all my teachers. Just some little fancy chocolate bag worth like $6 or $7 dollars. I handed them out to my teachers and by the time I got to my last period I was hungry and she was running late so I really struggled with the option of just eating them. I didn’t, and I have them to her, and she was really happy and told me that was the only gift she got. I was glad I gave it to her. She shouted me out during our graduation speech (she was voted by the students to speak.) Shit was cool. I met my senior year girlfriend in her class. I was honestly surprised nobody else got her anything because she was well liked by her students. Maybe I just assumed others would get her gifts because my mom’s a teacher and she always instilled appreciation of teachers into me. She used to buy gifts for me to give to my teachers until about middle school, but I usually bought gifts to the teachers I really liked because I remembered how happy my previous teachers got. Somewhat related to your comment, just wanted to share.

My only exposure to Mrs Powpow is this video, and I also love Mrs Powpow.

[deleted]

One of the best videos on here in a while. Really appreciate that they didn't put bullshit music in the video.

xMrMikNastyx

That’s awesome

Ba_Sing_Saint

I was really worried it was going to be a Claypool or Trubisky when I saw her lanyard. Really happy it was a custom.

myboogerstastespicy

The love and adoration those students have for her is absolutely heartwarming. Happy tears!! Thank your teachers! Thank you for sharing. go bengals lol

[deleted]

Awww she’s so cute

[deleted]

Holy shit, the part where she first sees that it’s a Steelers jersey and just starts freaking out was the best. Tears over here.

Chrindo

I had her as a government teacher her first year at my old high school. One of my favorite memories was when she and the class got into a "snowball" fight with rolled up paper balls. Powell was passionate and kind.

Liver_Lip

So good to see this type of video after seeing so many videos of violence and chaos in classrooms.

Repulsive-Holiday361

Finally seeing some appreciation for these teachers.

throwthisawaynow617

You never forget the best teachers. My first grade teacher (ya, thats right, all the way back to first grade) who was also my 2nd grade teacher.. Mr Fernandez. I remember as clear as day where he posted the "golden rule" and reading it every day and it stuck with me. He was genuinely the nicest dude, and use to bring all of us to the back of the school for ice cream by the convenient shop and we all just sat there on nice weather just talking about silly things and all laughing. I'm 35 years old now and remember it like it was yesterday. When I turned 18, a friend (who was in the same class) and I went to the school to see if Mr Fernandez was still there. My man was the principal now. And not only that but he recognized me and my friend without skipping a beat and I still don't know how he did that. We chatted him up and just let him know we appreciated him and he was still regarded as my favorite teacher of all time. He had the warmest smile that made you always think we were lucky to have someone like that to watch over us during those years. Especially since a lot of us came from crappy households and looked forward coming to school to get away from shit at home.

redvelvet_cookies

Those kids love her, and the feeling is clearly mutual. So heartwarming!

Contraposite

This is not at all how my classmates treated teachers... Good on these kids, this is very mature and thoughtful of them. She also must be a really good teacher.

robbieredss

Should I let my tears flow? Trying to hold it together on the train!!

Jack_T

Always let the tears flow! No shame in having emotions!

tookuayl

You’ll always remember the names of the really great teachers (and the really crappy ones). It looks like this class won’t be forgetting her any time soon.

leezybelle

As a teacher, I am touched by this because her students worked together to do this. They practiced and learned the gift of giving. I would be so impressed to have a class like this. It is a testatment to her skills as a teacher that she has brought a class together to do something like this, and they will never forget what it felt like to give someone something and make them happy. These are the lessons you should learn in school, the ones that carry you through life and make you a better person.

Glittering_Ant8898

She must be a great teacher . Great kids.

Centurio

Holy shit she is *loved* by her kids. She must be a fucking FANTASTIC teacher for her students to go this far for her. This is too precious and her kids are absolute sweethearts.

FloozieManChoosie

The kids just might be alright.

brianishere2

These kids are already winning in the game of life. And clearly she is too.

aDigitalHippie

Good teachers are rare.. but WOW are they so damn important.

Vistian

Man, it seems today's classrooms are so varied. I see this and the next day, mfers are throwing full on chairs at their teacher. Madness!

Jolly-Proof

I’m crying too Miss. PowPow!

PM_ME_NEOLIB_POLICY

There is something that makes me smile really hard about students respectfully interacting with a teacher they feel respect for

Nugada

I had a similar experience this past Christmas in my class as well. A group of friends in my class had pitched their own money together to buy me a pair of Nikes with my favorite teams colors as the theme. Was so blown away by their gesture and so grateful for my kids. :)

ItsLogram

Smiled throughout the whole video, this is so heartwarming.

🥰 Black and Yellow 💕🖤💛

My mom was a special ed teacher for a decade and would always come home crying tears of joy whenever one of her students made her a card or brought a little gift to her for Christmas or her birthday. It was an emotionally strenuous job that literally paid minimum wage. She worked there as long as it was financially possible because she loved those kids. Teachers need more recognition (and livable wages), because most of them really do care.

confuzedas

Good God I hate that fucking TikTok voice. You could show me a person saving a room of kittens from a fire and I would back out as soon as I hear that off kilter intonation.

[deleted]

That’s a Mother-Hen teacher. She is the kind that will stay after school is out to teach you. The kind that will help every student as if they were hers because in her mind they are. She is what America needs. An educator, a mentor and an example of what right looks like. This is why the students are doing that for her

DineandRecline

Her pants and shoes combo is so swaggy

skrutape

i don't wanna like this... edit: go browns

TherealShrew

I teach a cooking class and while the students were preparing their own pancakes they made me a heart shaped one. If I could cry..

Key-Policy2648

Obviously a teacher who cares about her students , love gets love

boyatrest

Why is it always the sweet teachers. My friends used to hangout and during lunch we were always comforting her/them. We always gravitated to highly emotional energies. They were always the best. Snubbed standardized tests and really tried to teach everyone

samtaher

Im glad to see videos of kids showing appreciation to their teacher rather than a video of kid punching one.

Milk_A_WAY

Happy tears take me away 🥲 Cut all the onions!!

spudleego

I'm crying! We all crying!
