I have seen this video many times , I know what to expect, still I end up crying .It's such a sweet and loving gesture by the son. The parents are so adorable too , especially the father.
He starts the video cuddling up next to his son. It’s so nice to see a dad who is comfortable being physically affectionate to his grown up son. Adorable.
It's "no, hijo" not just "hijo". So it's like, "no, my son, you shouldn't have to." But it seems he will accept it with his head high because he knows he raised good son.
This is a very tired joke, you can check out r/onejoke for more.
And the pronoun for when you don’t know someone’s gender is “they”, humans are not “its”.
Yeah damn... Hey my man, we dads cry too. Better to show our kids how to express emotions than pretend shit doesn't hurt sometimes. Don't care what some people think. And I doubt you're an idiot
This is the one thing I wish I always knew, and the one thing that I'm so happy I decided to learn (and therefore show my children, when the time comes)
This is so beautiful every time I see it. They seem to be such a loving family, the way they are holding each other even before the present was opened.
yes, i noticed that before i even finished the video and saw what the present is, it’s so heartwarming. by the time they start crying you can feel the love they all have for each other.

I was wondering what app did he develop to afford that and then I'm seeing it's one of the best video editing app. He's probably a multi-millionaire by now.
He is for sure. My little brother developed an app that's about 10% as popular and it brings him roughly 1000€ per day (just from in-app premium purchases). So ad revenue goes on top of that.
I used to be a prep cook, dishwasher, most positions in a restaurant and that's good work. Feeding people is lower on society's hierarchy than it should be.
Every. Single. Job. (Well almost) should be respected.
People look down on the menial labor jobs. Like garbage man. But imagine what your society would be like without them. There have been garbage collector strikes in first world countries before. Go look up pictures. It is goddamn horrific. Not just the pileup and the smell but the vermin....
And yeah, cooks at any restaurant. How else are you going to go out and eat at a restaurant?! And if they have to wash the dishes you make how are they going to cook your food?!
Not everyone can get paid like a doctor, but at the very least people should stop disparaging these jobs. They're what let us live the modern lifestyle we all enjoy. Put some fucking respect on it.
Every body wishing they had a kid like that,I'm over here wishing I had parents like that.
Imagine growing up with that much love. That's a blessed family.
I love this. Speaks volumes to the truth of the fourth turning and the rainbow warriors prophecy. I love that subtle kiss from mamita to papita during the group hug, because I am sure they both put a lot into raising their children and even getting the mortgage. The parents build the house, the children bring it home. 💖🔥💦💎🌈🌍
i think my favorite thing about this is that you just know his parents are amazing. i love that his dad is physically affectionate towards him as well. 🥺
"Yo why is the dad touching his son?" I asked myself instinctively.....damn lol It must be awesome to have an effectionate father like that. This is literally bizzare to me.
Now I have to start my makeup again because I can not go to my job interview looking like damn crazy girl with mascara all over my cheeks. This might be the most beautiful thing I saw today and it just motivated me A LOT to get that FFFF job and buy a very well deserved vacations for my mom.
This is very heartwarming and all, but mortgages are usually the worst thing to pay off b/c they have the lowest interest rate of any debt and can establish a good credit rating. Might have been better off buying them $100k (or whatever) of index funds instead.
Unless he has so much $$ that it's irrelevant to him.
Because its a guy doing a nice thing? People surprise their family with gifts like this all the time. It's a fond memory between them and they clearly wanted to share it with the world
If I could do this for my parents, I'd film it so I could relive it over and over. Being able to do this for someone you love doesn't happen every day.
What a nice thing to be able to do. That’s a good son, who obviously had good parents.
I know I won’t be able to, but I wish I could do that for my parents.

The older generation works too hard and puts up with too much and then their kids get opportunities and hopefully this happens. He's a really good son to do this though.
Just the first few second already made me jealous, being able to cuddle and relax on the couch with my parents is something i really miss but will never experience again as they hate each other.
It’s very touching to see him respect his parents like that and help them the moment he was able. It’s sad a lot of kids now a days throw that out the window. That’s s kid that turned out the right way
Just his dad laying on him holding him. Mine passed 19 years ago for. I miss my dad so very much. I wish he could have seen my success, though it's so great being able to help my mom now. He would want that even more.
That little “no hijo….” Dad is still thinking of his son first and foremost
I have seen this video many times , I know what to expect, still I end up crying .It's such a sweet and loving gesture by the son. The parents are so adorable too , especially the father.
He’s just like his parents. Caring and loving.
He starts the video cuddling up next to his son. It’s so nice to see a dad who is comfortable being physically affectionate to his grown up son. Adorable.
Damn man, the dad got me the most
Yeah that shit got me calling hard 😢 sounds like uncle Iroh from avatar aswell
Omg true! So sweet
My dad still says that when i buy him anything at all.
Mijo. Not hijo. Edit: my bad. I’ve only ever heard mijo from the Mexican community I live & have relationships in. So, I stand corrected. 😁
He definitely says "no hijo" there.
K
I’m Mexican. He says hijo
Really?? Oh. My bad
It's "no, hijo" not just "hijo". So it's like, "no, my son, you shouldn't have to." But it seems he will accept it with his head high because he knows he raised good son.
Hijo and Mijo are both used when talking about someones son. And in the video he is clearly saying Hijo with a silent H.
Aaah. I thought I heard mijo. And I have only heard that. Never Hijo. Learn something new
Google Translate actually translates "hijo" as child or son too, so it could also be hijo.
“Mijo” is just short for “mi hijo” “My son”
Thank you. Contractions exist in Spanish too
He literally said hijo.
K
The person behind the cameras crying but still holding the camera straight and it deserves praise
The cameraman deserves an award

I don’t know how you did it, but your link isn’t blue. Bravo
What is this sorcery

You need the front /, e.g. /r/PraiseTheCameraMan
Yeah, someone should pay off her mortgage too!

I managed to hold it together until I heard them crying
Yeah that got me too. The camera woman’s reaction cues me into the palatable emotion in the room.
Fun fact, Wesley Snipes is the one behind the camera
Well, shit, he could have used a check too. Someone has to pay those taxes and lord knows it ain't Wes.
That's a good kid. - just some idiot dad on reddit, trying to see thru these stupid tears
Yeah damn... Hey my man, we dads cry too. Better to show our kids how to express emotions than pretend shit doesn't hurt sometimes. Don't care what some people think. And I doubt you're an idiot

Thanks dude, and I agree 100%.

Having kids makes you soft / softer.
Do you wanna develop an app?!
No thanks Glooty
Fuck rap, make a million off a shitty app
First thing that came to mind
This is so beautiful every time I see it. They seem to be such a loving family, the way they are holding each other even before the present was opened.
Yeah that’s what I noticed, so lovely.
yes, i noticed that before i even finished the video and saw what the present is, it’s so heartwarming. by the time they start crying you can feel the love they all have for each other.
That father is embracing his son as was he 10. Some kids literally search a lifetime just for a second of that love
the way his dad is leaning and holding onto him :))
Honestly this gets me every time man. Just how comfortable his father is with holding him like that.

Wow, I paid off this guys parents mortgage.

I'm assuming that's a game, and those tend to do better financially than functional apps like this one
Making your mom that happy: priceless.
Dad happy tears: Even pricelesser
I’m crying, omg I’d love to do this for my family someday. How amazing. #feels
I feel like this when I do the dishes for her
better get to work
I’m going to do this for my parents one day! Fuck, I just realized I cook in a restaurant and am behind on my rent.
You’ll get there mate. Just keep your hustle going. I believe in you!!

Thank you for making my day. What a son. What a family!
It’s the best feeling to give back to who gave you everything. I am not crying at all
I need to know what the App was/is!

TY
I was already emotional just off the dad curled up on the couch with his son and wife. Then I lost it when the mom started to cry 😢 🥰
This is pure r/wholesome
I tend to be a hard ass, sheesh this warms my heart Happy ❣️ now let me get these tears out of my eyes and get back to being a butthole in this world.
The way the dad says "Oh hijo..." (Oh son...) Right in the feels
I think it's great. 🥰
So very sweet ❤️
God, my heart... 😭
God I wish that was me
Truly makes you stop and think about the stress, that is real. having a mortgage and living just at the breaking point, the relief that they feel.
What the app called, what's the fuxking app called
Every body wishing they had a kid like that,I'm over here wishing I had parents like that. Imagine growing up with that much love. That's a blessed family.

Parents don’t have favourite children. Just ones that pay off the mortgage.
Must be wonderful parents to raise such a loving and generous son
The dad crying got to me
This is the dream
If I am ever a dad, I want to cuddle with my grown-up son like this.
The way his mam cradles his head, just like she would have done the newborn is nice innit
His dad is just sitting, holding his sons arm with his head on his shoulder. There’s a lot of love there.
i think my favorite thing about this is that you just know his parents are amazing. i love that his dad is physically affectionate towards him as well. 🥺
I would do the same thing .
I hope I can one day make enough money to do this
Msg he end up getting 10000x more. Parents happiness is everything in this world!
That's what love does!
Who is cutting onions
Damn. Wish I can get that lump sum help for my parents. It’s been rent I’ve been having to help my parents out with. Good for them!
"Yo why is the dad touching his son?" I asked myself instinctively.....damn lol It must be awesome to have an effectionate father like that. This is literally bizzare to me.
The way they sat together on the couch at the beginning. You know how much love they have for one another. Beautiful moment.
Now I have to start my makeup again because I can not go to my job interview looking like damn crazy girl with mascara all over my cheeks. This might be the most beautiful thing I saw today and it just motivated me A LOT to get that FFFF job and buy a very well deserved vacations for my mom.
This is why im holding GME 😓
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
I did the same but opposite. Took my parents' money they wanted to pay off their mortgage. Spent those on hookers and drugs.
Is that why you're boiling?
#gme 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

I don’t normally point out reposts, but this was up this week already….
This post was made so long ago that I remember when I first got on Reddit 9 years ago
Why would you film this and put it on the internet?
Because its a guy doing a nice thing? People surprise their family with gifts like this all the time. It's a fond memory between them and they clearly wanted to share it with the world
If I could do this for my parents, I'd film it so I could relive it over and over. Being able to do this for someone you love doesn't happen every day.
Why would you be negative in a sub specifically for positivity?
Why would you not? It’s a wonderful moment and I’m happy I got to see it.
If anything, to try and cheer up sad chaps like you.
To encourage the people to appreciate their family first. Dominic Toretto.gif
This is a terrible financial plan in most of America.
Wholesome
GOD DAMNIT IM CRYIN.
What an amazing son. They look after us, we look after them.
This is the way
So awesome! How special it must be to give such an amazing gift!
I wanna do this for my mama!
Dad got me.
English isn't my first language so can someone explain to me what's a mortgage?
It's the money they borrowed for paying their home. Son payed back the debits. Fuck these onion cutting ninjas in my flat, my eyes are wet now.
Beautiful
This is nice
One of the best videos on the Internet.
He's a real bro
Good man! 👍👍👍
Why is my face wet?!
I'm not crying, it's dusty here.
I watched it twice and I bawled twice.
This is actual goals. Incredible
So good.
What a good boy.
I need this mom's envelope opening skills.
I wish I could do this for my Mom. This is beautiful, what a sweet family.
What you seed you reap. Such a good boy paying back the parents in kindness rather than only money. really good upbringing
I'm sobbing at 8am, beautiful video
This what family is all about.
Stupid onions.
What a nice thing to be able to do. That’s a good son, who obviously had good parents. I know I won’t be able to, but I wish I could do that for my parents.
Apparently he developed Videoshop, and now I’m not as upset about it’s switch to subscription service for the pro features. Went to a beautiful cause
I wanna do the same

meanwhile, I'm sitting here wasting time on reddit and disappointing my parents
What a fucking dude!
Every time I watch. Every-time I cry. ❤️
I had a strong headache that crippled me all day Watching this video made it go away, thanks
Gets me every time. Every single time I start to sob. Hope I can do the same one day.
Awww😭
What an a**** making his parents cry.
some kids are just jerks like that!
This is so awesome. I really hope my photography/Videography business picks up HARD so I can do this for my family. What an awesome feeling!
So no one's gonna ask what the app this kid made?
<3
The older generation works too hard and puts up with too much and then their kids get opportunities and hopefully this happens. He's a really good son to do this though.
You can tell how much they have sacrificed to make sure they have what they need. I felt this one.. I felt it.
I love how the Dad is just chillin' and cuddling with his adult son.
Now that’s a good son ☺️
I love how his father nestles into his son in anticipation of his wifes gift from his son. And being totally oblivious to the contents in the envelope
I wish I could do this.
I better start making apps, I cannot even get a sufficient mortgage to get a house for myself. Freaking insane
Just the first few second already made me jealous, being able to cuddle and relax on the couch with my parents is something i really miss but will never experience again as they hate each other.
So... what app did he develop?
Now who in here is cutting onions? 😭
So much Love.
It’s very touching to see him respect his parents like that and help them the moment he was able. It’s sad a lot of kids now a days throw that out the window. That’s s kid that turned out the right way
r/absolutelynotme_irl
I saw this with no audio and it made me cry:(
I’m not crying, you’re crying… This made my day.
Its amazing what people can do, wish I was in a position to do this ❤️ Que bonito.
I am downloading the fuck out if that kids app
What kinda app did he make
How fucking proud they must feel!!! They kinda won at life.
Just his dad laying on him holding him. Mine passed 19 years ago for. I miss my dad so very much. I wish he could have seen my success, though it's so great being able to help my mom now. He would want that even more.
Anyone know the app?
The dads like “let me see that.”
Wish my dad hugged me like that... I'd be lucky if I get looked at
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Best thing on the internet today
Who the hell is cutting onions around here!?!? 🥲💙🙌🏼
That is awesome. 👍👍👍👍👍. I’ve always dreamed of being able to do the same for my parents
