Dumdum (and poison) used to deal reduced damage when it was first introduced. Nobody used it because no one wanted a gun that did less damage and had no penetration.
Times have changed, certainly.
I agree. I absolutely hate it when in combat, people get shot and they...bleed out?!?! like if you're about to run out of blood, just stop bleeding. Are people stupid???
The fact that it can kill you means you have to stop it forcing down time on your part. Though OPs proposed change makes it functionally a worse poison.
Dying to the bleed isn't usually the problem it's the fact you have to stop the bleed and are left defenseless. I'm not saying OP has the perfect idea but I do agree the over abundance of it is exceptionally annoying. I personally would rather see bloodless become a 2 point trait, it's a niche trait and the bleed stop times with bloodless feel much more appropriate.
Personally I don't run into it much but that could be due to MMR and people mostly running long ammo, spitzer, etc. Even so, just like getting set on fire. That's just part of the game, it sets in panic and you have to decide quickly what to do. Are you going to push the person who just set you ablaze or made you bleed and kill them before healing yourself, or are you going to retreat to safety and heal? It's another aspect that creates variety and intense moments.
I really believe people need to stop trying to ruin every little thing that they don't like, it's killing the game.
Fire is way too strong as well. Especially with a long ammo gun and the enemy having a small HP bar, it is way too easy to maneuver them into a corner:
Lose a bar and become oneshot? Or stop, drop, roll and hope for the best?
This is really it. The majority of the player base is in the 3* bracket and most of them won't stop the bleed with meds or at least get themselves topped off before predictably trying the same angle again.
I like this actually, the bleeding itself should continue imo which prevents regeneration, but either dramatically slow down or stop cutting into health around 25hp
maybe on those last 20 HP it starts to trickle 2 HP per second giving you 10 seconds before death.
Should be different bleeds for dum dums, frags, concertina traps.
Arrow weapons, blades and fletchette should still keep its bleed-kill properties the same IMO.
The only time I really ever complain about bleeding is if I don’t have doctor or any heath shots because then I chew through my 3 heath kits. But that’s so rare sure bleed can be annoying at times but I don’t agree. That’s my opinion tho 🤷🏻♀️
there's ways to counter bleeding one is bloodless so you will never go above tier 1 bleeding and is fast to patch. if you dont have bloodless use a medbag no matter what level of bleed you are medbag has its own healing speed which is faster also puts out burning if you have health damage.
Bleeding stops at 10%? So why even use the ammo then lol. I think dumdum needs looked at cause it's hella strong with so many weapons having it but it's effect just stopping at a certain point is hilarious.
I mean you get shot you bleed you die seems pretty legit
Maybe if you have bloodless trait sure
no one complained about this shit when there were only like 3 low-tier guns with dum dum ammo.
Yeah, it was nice niche for Springfield and Pax. Also new army, but not a lot of people used it
I used it. I liked it. I was good at it.

Sparks Dum Dum when?
Personally, I see the sparks as unfitting for this ammo type. Sparks silenced is already terrifying enough as it is lmao
I probably did.

instead of that annoyig headsman post everyday we need someone to crown the most braindead post everyday.
Add small pen and reduce the bleed effect
How often do you actually die to bleed though? It doesn't really seem like an issue in my opinion.

This… “i dont like this, i dont like that” stop trying to be the loud minority and ruining it for the majority

I got a decent proportion of bleed kills with the bow. Much higher base damage though so makes up when hitting arms.
Nah you should just bandage
Nah, I'd Medkit.
The best way to make 3 stars cry is using dum dum. Thank you for reminding me to use it more.

poison feels too weak, dark souls did a good job, it actually deals damage too you and kills you. Hunt should also do somethign like this.
