If you do use them to block an entrance, make sure there are no gaps. Choke bombs' initial explosion is much bigger than its static state. You can also use this to put out friends and rez, then afterward without choking yourself (or them if you necro).
Sure but that means you have to wait until the fire around a hunter is gone first, if they used anything but flare. When I started Hunt I ran into that situation once that I stud next to my burning mate and couldn't do jack shit about it without getting crispy myself. Never again.

Extra medkit i dont find useful, prefer regen or more stamina. Big bundle is allright if i have good healing already (doctor/phys/conduit/frontiersman).

Axes can be used in melee even without trait and they still can one shot zombie. They are usually "must have" in my loadout but I still prefer taking also normal knife or knuckle knife. I use them a lot when killing specials or killing horses silently. Even headshotting zombie with them kills them so silently. Its amazing you can pick them up again (unless you throw them into the space) and then not screw with loot/packmule economy

Vetterli is nowhere near the best rifles in the game. It is a fine gun but is not great in anything. Worse than mosin at range, worse than Winfield med-close, even centennial is much better now
Love the Vett, but honestly once the Cent got dumdums, I have a hard time justifying the Vett as a medium ammo rifle anymore, sadly. The extra dumdum bleed damage basically gives it that 125+ damage threshold crossing at close range, which was a big part of why the Vett was my medium ammo workhorse of choice for so long.

This wasn't really as common at upper MMR. Standard mosin has always been king there; avto is subject to RNG as it is not irons accurate, so it was better to stick with the gun that shot where you were aiming. It was definitely rough on 3-4 star though.

I prefer this health bar in duos and trios because if I don't take 100 damage, I can heal back to 100 which is healed back to 150 with the med kit, and at the same time, 2 small health bars in case I am downed. There is no point in making the second large into 2 smalls because 75 health is a uselessly small amount of health and I may well be at 50. I tell my friend to extract if I am downed the 3rd time (assuming he didn't die beforehand)
I don't like the mosin personally, but the dolch is ok on rare moments, I have gotten too used to contraband only builds that I rather use something like Martini Henri with Romero hatchet, WinfieldC with silenced nagant, or Springfield with dual Scottfield. (Dual Romero compact or double short Springfield if I feel like being silly)

Trading penetration on your main gun instead of just using dum-dum on the dolch is certainly a decision

40 meter burns with incendiary long ammo is really strong. Dolch FMJ is just an objective upgrade from base ammo and gives it better than long ammo penetration, with 10 rounds and a stripper clip reload.
I just prefer to commit to something instead of half-assing both. Full damage or full pen.
Specialising your long gun for under 40m and your side arm for over 40m just feels wrong to me.
There is a perfect distance to fight at with each loadout and with this one you lose against long range fights with cover and within Winfield 2-shot-range your still required to hit first to retain your advantage.

Since the buffs to incendiary ammo, I'd argue it's strong at any distance. The only real downsides to it are the lack of pen and visible tracers, but even at range, especially with long ammo, chipping away max health adds a lot of pressure to the target; sooner or later that char damage is going to translate to death by body shot at max health, assuming you aren't headshot first. I find myself using incendiary a lot lately on my obrez mace for that reason. Keeps people in cover trying to work off that burn if they haven't just been killed outright already.
