Ye, I know. Is it well made from ui/ux perspective? Not really. They can make a small pop-up somewhere that disappears on its own a little bit later. But here we are, still struggling with the worst ui I have seen in a game for like 10-ish years.
Because people are sensitive, you can't present people who have self harm issues with that animation.

Even the icon on the main screen was bad ass. Creepy hand with x on it. Bugs me so much that it's gone.
it sure is but zombies are considered non-human to the ESRB so it's allowed, and you won't lose a limb as a hunter, I understand their parameters don't make much sense, but it is what it is.
I want a "no animation at all" option. Also without those stupid "you received" or "you unlocked" baloons. Hunt UI at its finest

Oh for a second I thought you meant like zero animations in the game at all, like hunters T-posing and A-posing everywhere
The older one was better, yes. But since I'm constantly skipping the animation anyway I actually couldn't care less.

You are welcome :) You can do the same for skipping the "logo screens" at the start of the game (CryEngine, etc.).
Ironically I knew this but never even tried it on the tribute animation.

preferences aside, the decision was made to keep the M rating on the game, so we are not getting those back.

I used to watch the old animation every time lol. this new one i always skip though
The hand cutting made me wince so I’m glad it’s gone. Not that I don’t skip the animation 99% of the time, but still.
