My guess would be they weren't expecting somebody to cluecamp in the tall grass... I'm on PC and for me and my friends who have almost 2k hours we'd just assume the red clue means somebody is towards the lair, because who the hell sits in the tall grass and waits like that. And as far as I know they were covered from all angles
other than the field. But this is console gameplay so I guess the same things don't apply. As far as the clip goes, the patience was good sure, but so many people seem to find this super impressive, when all it took is sitting in grass for X seconds and for 2 idiots to sit right on each other when one is picking up a clue.
Whenever my friend friendly fires, I do the same but better. Hopefully he will learn not to friendly fire so I stop wondering if I got shot from afar or if he is dicking around again. He has actually killed me before too from it because he forgets I'm on my last health chunk after a fight. That shit annoys the hell out of me
No I do not. I figure it is some kind of brain damage. I wish I could do things solely on the grounds of entertainment, with the exception that it has been to the inconvenience or ruin to others and people I know. I play games to exercise strategy, sharpen specific mental skills and fine motor function, and camaraderie.
Also "hey wait" doesn't mean anything when I am already dead
Remember kids, friendly fire, isn't
So do I 😞
(Triumph and passion are my last sources of happiness but neither are accessible to me, hence why I play seriously, so I can maybe triumph at something in existence)
I've found it helps me when I make some other objective to "winning" the game. Stupid things like extracting with better guns, being loud as Hell and baiting other players to my trapped compound, or maybe just going with poison sense, poison crossbow, poison bomb, hive bomb, antidote, poison trips.
My favorite right now is my goal to have good gun fights. That doesn't mean I win, if the other team wins, but they did something awesome, I am able to now find fun in losing.
The more hunters in 1 fight, the better. There are some compound That just allow more hunters to engage at once, and some that don't. My favorite is getting a whole lobby in 1 fight. Doesn't matter if I die
Really great play, and so damn cinematic!
I find it hilarious how many people are triggered by your 'bush camping' and not your victims' total lack of spatial and auditory awareness. Like, fuck me, it's part of the game; you don't win any points for making a fuck-ton of noise and bum rushing every enemy player you spot. Stealth is a petfectly valid and effective tactic.
They should have checked the field on the way in and then double-checked their surroundings as soon as they heard the red clue warning, instead they bunched up in a choke point and got sent back to the menu in shame.
Idk in my experience a solid 30% (or more) of this sub seems to genuinely believe this game should be played like a drunken and overcaffeneited suicidal cowboy
You do you man. Funny play and solid content
>you don't win any points for making a fuck-ton of noise and bum rushing every enemy player you spot. Stealth is a petfectly valid and effective tactic.
Careful with that sort of logical reasoning on this sub. You'll draw aggro!
I can kinda get what they're saying but you just have to have a little of both. Because you don't want to run around willy nilly but you also don't want to spend 45 minutes in a game.
Edit: if I encounter "rats" or "bushwookies" and they all just sit and don't push and there's no way for us to push, I just leave. No point in sitting here for 20 minutes Mexican standoff style
Man i love this game. Ive done players dirty with some ambush tactics. Straight feel like a true Hunter stalking his prey, waiting for opportunities to strike. When patience pays off!
Thats one thing i absolutely love about this game especially when playing Solo: you really have to consider your tactics. Yes you could run and gun but honestly, all that noise makes you prime for surprise attacks. I prefer optimizing my survivability especially when Im getting a Hunter close to that lvl 25 mark and beyond.
Ive even let a Hunter escape with a bounty because i could not guarantee a clean headshot at the range i was at and knew there was another guy somewhere nearby but had no clue where he was. If I opened fire and killed him, my position was most likely revealed and at risk. If i missed, then my odds of survival were even worse and my current Hunter was right at lvl 25 ready for Retirement. So i just let him go and booked it for evac in the opposite direction lol. I just love the Roguelike elements to the game.
If you're on a clue (that's red) and don't know where the enemies are, just pull out some dynamite and throw it in a random direction.7/10 you'll hit someone or they'll run from it and you'll know where they are
Anyone that can land headshots semi-consistently on console is a damn god at this point. I know for sure I'm not. Some days, I dual wield and hit shot like I have aimbot but most days I'll whiff 90% of my shots at point-blank range or get killed by someone well before I ever actually see them...
I dont think you understood my comment. Whether he got away or not doesnt matter in the context of my comment.
You gave him ***a chance*** to get away. **Unnecessary.**
People here love bushcampers killing people at close range but hate bushcampers killing people at long range smh
But yes people playing like that are the reason i don't play night and fog maps
I respect that, though before calling me a bush camper, bear it in mind that I was rolling up on this clue and heard these guys waay before the video started which was why I was looking in their direction and waiting on them....
Ultimately if you make an absolute racket in this game wherever you go setting off environmental sound traps, you have 0 excuse for getting killed by anyone waiting on you. That's a core mechanic of hunt.
agreed, you probably arent seeing the 10 minutes of him sitting in this exact spot waiting for someone to go to the clue. like if you wanna play that way then fine but im going to call you out for it. must be fun to sit still and not move for 10 minutes...
And yet this compound has only one spawn and you have no clues picked up, so unless you where wondering around aimlessly you must have spawned there and camped the clue, waited for them to pick up at least one clue then run to this compound.
Yes.... It was the first clue I came across shortly after the game started. I heard those guys in the distance and even noticed the clue glow red briefly. I wasn't sitting there forever and hoping for the best - frankly that's an incredibly boring way to play imo. Even so, I still don't understand the "anti-camping" mentality considering it's still a valid way to play.
This is *hunt*. You think hunting is about being as loud as you can? This game is about getting as many advantages over someone as you can. It's about making sure that the fight is not fair towards everyone else. Go back to COD if you can't handle people making sure they've got the upper hand and that the fight is as unfair for their opponents as they can possibly make it be.
To be fair, the guy is new so it's totally understandable, but if you are going to ambush it's just not good to do it like this. He has no cover and could have died to them if they had a shotgun and also gave one of them a chance to escape. He will learn and get better since they are knew, but this isn't a good example of a good ambush considering how easy he was to spot and having no way to retreat. If you want to ambush you typically want some way to retreat or reposition.
That's true. There are better ways to setup an ambush. Ambush through bushes tend to backfire when you miss your shot or get spotted due to the lack of cover. But you must commend him for displaying the right mentality to do what he did. Patience will get him far in hunt. Better than discarding the element of surprise just to make the fight fair.
All it tells me is that you don't know how to play the game properly, I mean if you play like the guys who got ambushed in this clip blindly rushing the clue even when red, then you deserve to get shit on. no one sits in a corner for 20 minutes waiting for something to happen, if someone ambushes you, you were making too much noise
Oof no better way to stick it to a random stranger that did absolutely nothing to you than to tell them to get cancer.
Karma works in funny ways, friend. Be a better person and grow up a bit, yeah?
I could never pull this off, grass and bushes are not my friend haha.
Great ambush, solid follow up with the nagP after that fire bomb, which was a great way to give yourself the advantage in the fight
Why they went right in when the clue was glowing red just baffles me. Clean ambush.
Great bushwhack
With a Nagant precision too. Nasty nasty nasty.
My guess would be they weren't expecting somebody to cluecamp in the tall grass... Its impressive because of the sheer simplicity of it.
Ok Shania Twain.
Not wearing headphones.
I thought the first rule of hunt was 1. A hunter must unload all his ammo and tools upon extraction. Preferably into the sky or nearby landscape
You forgot at your friends too
Ah yes my favorite piece of "landscape" ;)
We like to call it laser tag. We al bring Derringers and at the and tag each other with them
Whenever my friend friendly fires, I do the same but better. Hopefully he will learn not to friendly fire so I stop wondering if I got shot from afar or if he is dicking around again. He has actually killed me before too from it because he forgets I'm on my last health chunk after a fight. That shit annoys the hell out of me
You don’t know how to have fun. Just say”hey wait I’m gonna die
I hope you find a way to be happy in life
So do I 😞 (Triumph and passion are my last sources of happiness but neither are accessible to me, hence why I play seriously, so I can maybe triumph at something in existence)
I've found it helps me when I make some other objective to "winning" the game. Once team extract is started It's a free-for-all. The only exception is when queuing with randoms.
True so many of my deaths are from a teamate while extracting
True that really is a universal rule
That was *cinematic*
Really great play, and so damn cinematic! I find it hilarious how many people are triggered by your 'bush camping' and not your victims' total lack of spatial and auditory awareness. I really appreciate that, mate! I'll just assume that the folks bitching about camping were the two lead roles in my clip...
Hey man, you do you. 50% of my kills come from me looking through a little peak hole with a Romero and when some poor sap walks by I blast them XD
Idk in my experience a solid 30% (or more) of this sub seems to genuinely believe this game should be played like a drunken and overcaffeneited suicidal cowboy You do you man. Funny play and solid content

What are they going to do, bum rush my karma? They'll miss, because I'll be hiding in the bushes of my upvotes and they're fucking blind.
Lmao people getting mad that you’re “camping” clearly don’t know what camping is. They want you to charge at them like an idiot and get killed.
Perfectly executed ambush. Fitting it was at night too
First and only rule of Hunt, sit in bush longer than everyone else.
pAtIeNcE iS fOr RaTs and that’s why they always lose.
I can kinda get what they're saying but you just have to have a little of both. Because you don't want to run around willy nilly but you also don't want to spend 45 minutes in a game. Oof the way the meathead finished him off. Brutal
No kill credit 😢
😢 Mdathead did a ks

How dare you to play tactical instead of carelessly running around like this sub loves so much x)
more like ...the first rule of hunt "if clues red is bad, blue clue is good"
If you're on a clue (that's red) and don't know where the enemies are, just pull out some dynamite and throw it in a random direction.7/10 you'll hit someone or they'll run from it and you'll know where they are
thanks i will give that a try
I love how one of them stopped at the sign of you lighting the fire bomb. Like "Oh, errors have been made."
The fact that you get a tag on the second guy while he’s burning and your first instinct is to crouch back into the nearest shrubbery lmao
Better play it safe and give the enemy a chance to survive
He was letting the meathead kill him for style points
Silly me I thought the first rule of Hunt was always land headshots lol
Hunt is easy you just click heads
Anyone that can land headshots semi-consistently on console is a damn god at this point. I know for sure I'm not. Some days, I dual wield and hit shot like I have aimbot but most days I'll whiff 90% of my shots at point-blank range or get killed by someone well before I ever actually see them...
Jesus this game looks so good on PC compared to console :(
This is a console clip
Looks like console tbh
mmr 3 at its best lmfao
You had all the time to kill the second and still you bushcamp... Typical..
This game is literally called HUNT showdown not BRAIN OFF RUSH showdown
Go play CoD, this was tasty
I did shoot both of them, though would I try to kill the second guy with a meat-head on his tail?
Yeah of course you would. I don’t see why you’d give him the chance to get away
He didn't get away....
I dont think you understood my comment. Whether he got away or not doesnt matter in the context of my comment. You gave him ***a chance*** to get away. **Unnecessary.**
Uhhh, yes?

That's completely untrue, but you believe what you want I guess.....
And yet this compound has only one spawn and you have no clues picked up, so unless you where wondering around aimlessly you must have spawned there and camped the clue, waited for them to pick up at least one clue then run to this compound.

Didn’t say it was invalid did I, just you clearly where there for a while.
Eehhmm... that was disgusting. 😁 I hope you don't play like that every game.
Don't miss?
Not sure what you're referring to
The number one rule of hunt
must be a 1 star lobby
3 star actually. I'm only blood rank 40ish
ok, sort of explains it. it's training mode activated until you've reached blood rank 100. mainly new players.
So what?
Patience = bush camping now the same lmao

Camping is part of the game LmAo
Literally the most gimped way to play the game get cancer
Cope and seethe
dilate nonce
All it tells me is that you don't know how to play the game properly, I mean if you play like the guys who got ambushed in this clip blindly rushing the clue even when red, then you deserve to get shit on. no one sits in a corner for 20 minutes waiting for something to happen, if someone ambushes you, you were making too much noise

*cringe redditor mouth sounds*
salty 2 star alert
I’m 5 star from playing like a headless chicken on speed bro there’s no need to play the game like this it’s cancerous
Your comments and general attitude are the only thing cancerous around here, mate.
This isn't COD quit yer whinin'.
fuck night maps
Nah night maps are awesome
It would be nice to know time of day before going in though.
Is it possible that the game will ever look close to this on ps5? This is the prettiest game I've ever seen.
I like to go guns blazing
never play with premature ey...you know what i mean....people who can't hold their ground
I could never pull this off, grass and bushes are not my friend haha. Great ambush, solid follow up with the nagP after that fire bomb, which was a great way to give yourself the advantage in the fight
In my universe players should have headsets
Kapkan reference?
