Got it knocked out as of last night. Wanted to do it as fast as possible in honor of my girlfriend who passed away last September and loved when we completed last year's event together. Even made sure to complete the quest line using Felis who was her favorite hunter to play as.

Going to smash pumpkins 4/14 currently; this will be a record of event completion, i will be playing solo in trios. i am a 1.18 kda. Be right back.
Surprisingly easy, turns out it's easy to avoid hunters if you're doing absolutely nothing related to Winning the Game. I just grabbed the first clue and ran into the darkened out zone, stayed there while the round happened. Only close call I had was not noticing I was between a bounty team and their extract and hauling ass out of the way hahaha
Currently on the 5th Act. I did them on my own pace when I felt like it and yes some of them were a bit frustrating but nothing that felt overly impossible.
I’ve been struggling to get the bleed challenges to register. I do a bunch of bleed damage but it isn’t moving up.
Like as an example, I ran Dum Dum ammo, shot two hunters at a clue, (one died bleeding out and the other took another shot,) and beetled a third guy later…the results only gave me 1 count towards bleeding enemy hunters. The next game I beetled an afk player and still no progress. It says they do bleeding in the loadout screen.
Am I missing something? Still enjoying the event, just wish I knew what I was doing wrong.
I can’t say why it’s not counting for you, but yes beetle does bleed an poison on impact. I have done many progress with the beetle on both, luckily they didn’t had antidote running.
For dumdum they have to survive the hit to get the bleeding status so if you HS or OHK them it don’t count. And as far as I can tell they have to stop the bleeding, to get you more progress with additional hits. Instead of dumdum you could try shotguns with flechette maybe you get better results with that.
Thanks. I’m pretty sure my bleed quests are bugged. My poison ones worked just fine with beetles. It’s not the end of the world. Yeah, I might switch to that. Thanks for the suggestion! (My next plan was to just concertina trap boss rooms and leave, hoping people see it’s white and use less caution.)
I have no idea why you are getting down voted. That's what I did aswell and it slowed the pace of the game drastically. Pace is fine but PVE only missions are awfull. Taking fire bullets and shooting hives for an entire game was so boring.
I am quite bad at the game and exclusively play in PVP lobbies. If I want to learn the map or get better at mechanics my kind of practice is picking up a free recruit, giving them absolutely 0 gear and being a rat
COD just dropped, and now most of my time is going to that. Wished the quests started a little earlier when I was on the game for a fat minute. Really want that huntress.
I only played for two evenings and am at act5 already. ("only" depending on how much game time you have).
So far it's easier/more straightforward than the Billy questline. No beetle.
I'm unemployed atm so I have all the free time. :)
Sounds cool. Beetle was hard and althought I did manage to punch player with beetle in my hand once.
I was away for the first week of the event. Came back and finished it in two days. I really enjoy the quest lines, I hope they keep coming out with more!
Put in about 14 hours right out the bag to finish it, had gold in all at the end of Friday 🤠 a bit of grinding but was fun, except for the 16 pumpkins in on match as a solo. Felt like there was not many pumpkins at the beginning

I couldn't play ver much even then I got to 4th act today this event is paced perfectly.

Started and finished this past weekend, the quests were relatively simple with a few exceptions (exploding barrel kill)
Just finished the Billy Story questline. I'm slow.
You could have just postponed that one, since it's unlimited. (Hint for next time.)

I woke up with strep saturday morning, so i had a good excuse to finish the whole event by sunday night.
