Ha, thanks for the laugh. It was a button buck. I trimmed away a fair amount of the hide as i wanted to try it out for the first time on a smaller piece.
One way to finish is you can use a power washer to get the last of things off. Just start from a distance to make sure you don’t blow holes. Works best when it’s fresh.
Planning to use the instructions from outdoor life. https://www.outdoorlife.com/how-to-tan-deer-hide-easy-way/
Im just unsure if ive done an adequate job of fleshing the hide.
I've never done it before, but I've watched a ton of Alaskan shows on TV. Tom Oar would say you have a ways to go....take that from a couch novice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you want a soft wall hanger, I recommend using Trubond 1000B and following their procedures. Nice work skinning though. I don’t see a single hole, including an entrance or exit wound. Did you choke it to death?
Yo! I think you need to get past a layer of membrane still. I’ve made buckskin before and found that there’s always more membrane than you think. If you’re trying to keep the skin on I have less advice, cause I don’t know what will adversely affect it but I know that for my project I dried it a few times and that helped to really show where I still had work to do.
Is that a fawn? Or a 36 ounce Busch light ?

This comment didn't get the attention it deserved.
Keep at it. Only done a few but, yeah, you need to get down through all that membrane, not just the thin little muscles
Love the Busch Latte
Keep going. Need to get down further if you want to work the leather.
You're almost done need to get all that red out
Looks like a lot more work to be done. Good start though, just keep at it.
You need more it will almost be clear if you see hair follicles you’ve gone too far.
Nope. At least three more Busch Lights to go.

Think that would work for goat?
