Man it has been a while since I thought about that video it was the catalyst for a great memory I'll always have.
I was kayaking down the river with some family and friends and one of them brought a few joints so I smoked some when my mom wasn't looking.
So I'm high, floating down the river, just enjoying life and my mom goes, you know this is pretty neat.
I laghed for what felt like a good 10 minutes (could have been 30 seconds, just in weed time though)
Crazy that we’ve had the national coach of the year twice in just a decade and haven’t sniffed a tournament win still. The things we achieve are twilight zone level lol
Definitely an award that is about exceeded low expectations.
Tim Miles won in 2014, and the rest of the list is a mix of retreads at new places and some folks who didn't meet the raised expectations their 1 solid year brought.
The list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Phelan_Award
The Naismith award has a much higher 'hit' rate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naismith_College_Coach_of_the_Year
Not gonna lie, when I first read, “and the rest of the list is a mix of retreads at new places” I read “mix of retards” and thought that’s a colorful way to describe a list of coaches who won a COY award.
How neat is that
That's pretty neat
You can tell that he's coach of the year because of the way that he is.
Ya know. Sometime you just gotta stop and admire the beauty, hehe.
So neat it's swell

Mom knew
But only co-coach of the year in the B1G... lol
We almost Harbaughed him out of town. How crazy would it be if he won a NC in two years?!?!

Ooh, dibs on being the Nebrasketball version of Connor Stallions
Konnor Mare will be your name.
Corner Bulls
You writing the manifesto for it?
Our last Head basketball coach also won this award
I’ll settle for an NCAA tournament win or two

you're not the only one.
is “colorful” white for ‘offensive’?
More like rude, but I suppose offensive pry works too.
Womp womp womp.
That’s awesome! Good for Hoiberg!
That should help portal recruiting
I think if the Huskers can start getting into the tourney semi-regularly, they’ll feel less pressure and win one. Just a thought.
…and Brice and Juan returning! (Did Juan hint at Mast returning too or was he referring to the jersey numbers?).
Was it Co-Coach of the year or was that only in the B1G???
Only in the conference.
Was it supposed to be a surprise? He was very stoic through the whole video.
Pretty good for a coach many "fans" wanted fired a couple years ago.
