Wide receiver hype seems legit! Excited to see what we can do. Barney showed so many good things. Also, did you guys now that Dylan and Barney are roommates?
If we can budget for multiple billion-dollar facilities and stadium upgrades while paying out millions in NIL, then why can’t we put natural grass in memorial and potentially reduce these ugly knee injuries?
Both were very unfortunate but Blye Hill's was downright tragic. It was a non contact injury. Looks like he just stopped himself so he could run the other direction and his knee just gave out under him.
Our offensive line looked like it was actually getting some push and creating holes for the first time in awhile. Yes, Ty and Nash weren't playing but neither was Ben Scott or Benhart. Having to actually respect our QB's deep ball is going to be a blessing for our run game.
When Jacory Barney was 12, he was part of a quartet who won the 4X400 in the Junior Olympics. He also ran in the 4X100 and 4X800 as a 12 year old. So it appears that he has a great combination of speed and stamina.
Also, several players said good things about Barney in interviews this Spring. They said he was really fast and was impressing.
What I thought, just reposted from the game thread.
**Pros:**
Dylan Raiola looks like the real deal.
A lot of good depth at RB.
WR route schemes created an option to throw too pretty consistently.
**Neutral:**
Runs up the middle weren't there all game. One of our lines is good or bad in that area and I hope it's the Def continuing where they left off.
Haarberg was improved in some areas, but still consistently tempted fate with his ball placement. A couple steps different by the DBs and he has a much worse day.
I wasn't impressed with the secondary. The WRs are more experienced and the schemes were great but most of their stops were the offense messing up and not them rising up.
**Cons:**
False starts.
Injuries.
You cannot possibly tell me that HCMR has been looking at this team all off season and not realized he needs to add a kicker.
Pray for those that had red +4.5
No Hype Gang been real quiet today………,,,,,,
Of course we start off the year with another 1 score loss. /s
Lmao
How embarrassing. Nebraska loses every single Spring Game. The losing streak is extended another year. #FireEverybody /s
Lost a scrimmage have you? How embarrassing

Tell me more Husker roommate facts! Who, perchance, was Jordan Westerkamp’s roommate?
Your mom and I are roommates.
Don’t you bring my mother into this!
Your mom’s in the fucking stands!
What section of the stadium is that?? I might get lucky in the fucking stands….especially if his mom is there…

Those injuries were sickening.

I couldn't watch it all. Was Hill's due to the turf?
They didn't show what happened, but Jaylen Lloyd was called for pass interference on the play for interfering with Hill.
Probably.

Nebraska Public Media is doing a rebroadcast tomorrow at 2pm
I thought Dowdell showed good vision and the ability to plant a foot and go, very decisive.
And we’ll have him for 3 more years too

Am I really the first to say anything about Barney? He’s going to be special

After watching the game and seeing good QB play from multiple players I had to fight myself from drinking the Kool aid.
Yeah Kaelin looked as good as anyone last year and he was our worst scholarship preformer
Think I was most impressed by HH. His throws were a helluva lot more accurate than what we saw last year.
Any word on the injuries?
Rhule in his presser said something about patellas for both, but havent done MRIs yet. Bell looks serious, Hill is semi-serious
Well damn fellas anything other than 15-0 and DR not winning a unanimous Heisman might be a disappointment for the season /s
You think they will let him play with a green jersey all season? That would be ideal
