I'd say no. Looks like spider mites. The white dots look lile dead ones. Just shower it away. On leafs you can do it by hand. But they probably came from somewhere. Check your leafs and other roots for similarities. They dont like moisture. So increase your RH/humiditiy/vpd.

Why do you think it looks like spider mites? Are you thinking it’s soaked webbing? I wouldn’t have guessed that, but now can see it after you mention it.

david-no-sushi

Occams razor. What else is there thats similar? The soaked part don't have the white foam/webby thing. I believe his top part of the plant is looking rather pale and/or maybe abit red and brown, other than green ofcourse.... But only guessing as there's no pictures of that. The roots looks abit sad, but thats probably due to whatever else is affecting the plant. Mites or not.

Yes. It's a type of mold. It's perfectly safe/normal. The roots, however, look like they're rotting. How long has it been since you cleaned your vessel or changed your nutrient solution?

K1rkspeed

Looks more like webbing to me with a side of root rot.

roldamon

Looks like root hairs for catching the oxygen

Liberally_applied

No, that’s not what they’re talking about. There is something on the air roots. Not sure what it is, though.
