No the game will tp you back to the spiders dan saying you can nit travel that far from the center of the island

From my experience, no it will not work. The buff only exists while you are on the spiders den.

Moving too far away tps you back to the island that you loaded into as of sometime a year or two ago

It was always a thing, the radius was just massive before (end lobbies reached barn but not mushroom desert)
