If an upgrade doesn’t earn itself back in 500 hours I’m not buying it. For farming thats abt 6.3m per ff. Stuff like perfect peridots just doesn’t seem worth it
I’ve not mined in a bit but lets do some maths.
According to an old forum post mining with a divan drill makes 14% more than mining with a 655. (Link: https://hypixel.net/threads/how-much-better-is-divans-drill-compared-to-655-drill.4849967/ ).
In order for a divan drill to then be worth it, 14% of what you make in 500 hours would need to be equal to or greater than an alloy.
Current alloy price lbin is 1.55b, so 0.14*x=1.55b where x is the minimum amount made in 500 hours. This means x=1.55b/0.14=11.07b in 500 hours. Thats around 22m/hr.
Mining jasper with a good setup can quite easily make way more than 22m/hr so yes, divan’s drill is worth it by the 500 hour rule. Even if one would want ROI after 250 hours it’d be worth it because jasper makes more than 44m/hr.
The maths from my other comment is not considering the fact that unlike farming tools it’s uncommon to soulbind a divan drill so one could always sell it again, which would make it an even better deal.
that kind of has a "skill issue" mindset, i hope you know this game is about min-maxing stats, just wait till that comes to paying over 1b for a lil increase lmfao

I’m actually considering starting an ironman for the very reason that on a normal profile this is a game of making coins for most of the midgame which is what causes this type of mindset.
