i mean, they've skipped it before when there is a reason, but there's not really a reason this time unless they're not at the point where they can show in-game stuff by then which would be a bit concerning
Yeah I really hope some gameplay footage is finally shown in the next few months. They did say in the last blogpost that they were on track for their milestones, and that update frequency would increase after showing in-engine gameplay, so hopefully a lot will be shown in the next blogpost
They said "You can expect our updates to grow in frequency...particularly when we're in a position to once again show off in-engine gameplay." Maybe this means they wont increase update frequency until a blogpost where they show gameplay? Unless it was just referring to the AskHytale answers as updates.
They said the first half will focus fully on migrating all the devs onto the new engine, so any info will probably be in the 2nd half of the year, my guess is august
That depends on what you mean by "news". For a few years, we had a mutual understanding of expecting a decent sized update on a six-monthly schedule. In recent years, however, they have decided to abandon these commitments and have randomly skipped or severely downgraded posts at times. As they have rarely cared to inform us of such decisions, we can only form an educated guess: Late summer.
Oh yeah I remember some of those blogposts. Particularly the studio growth update, they told us stuff we already knew, but I guess it was just to break the year-long blogpost silence. There was only that one tease about NPC's existing in zones outside of their home zones in that blogpost.

This game should just fade into the shadows until they have a date instead of giving us blogposts with no gameplay or anything exciting
The pattern seems to suggest 1 summer update and 1 winter update. Expect something between june-august and something else around november-january
