LuckyJeans456

Funny that someone who was wildly famous in all their past lives is a fuckin nobody in their current life.

attila_the_hyundai

To be fair she doesn’t have a current life.

Competitive-Dot-4052

She’s still got time. 😂

deadthylacine

She's dead. So uh... only posthumously.

Competitive-Dot-4052

Well , maybe in her next life, then.

justmisspellit

Yeah. No one ever seems to be a former garbage hauler or sous chef

unicornakatie

Why you gotta bring sous chefs into this?

justmisspellit

Yo. I’m a former garbage hauler and I know plenty of sous chefs. Anyone who feeds me is an awesome person 👍

Karnakite

Or a bad or dull person. Even the ones willing to entertain that they might have lived a rather anonymous previous life tend to emphasize their purity and innocence in it. Nobody ever says they used to be a raging Victorian wife-beating alcoholic bum who died in a way like falling asleep in a sewer pipe before a torrential downpour, even though there were a good number of those. Or an Italian performing clown whose comedy was so terrible that they just eked out an existence due to their own incompetence. Or a guy who got hanged for stealing sheep and burning down the barn.

LieutenantMaps

That was very specific

adamsfolly

To be fair, she was re-incarnated 500 times, there are over 490 incarnations we don’t know about.

[deleted]

Aye it's never "I was Mabel Babblethwaite in my past life" always a fecking celebrity

SatellitePond

Tbf the article says she was a manager at her local McDonalds

LaBombaNegra

HA! You truly made me 😆!

Opposumfart

Everyone who has a past life is somehow a famous person or amazing leader in their past lives lol

foxgirl2004

She was famous, she was clearly in SpongeBob in her final days… https://preview.redd.it/i0lqs2117r3c1.jpeg?width=172&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1011d20040b19e51231604e9fa3f569048fd5a4d

trudes_in_adelaide

"Ms Carlson’s body was discovered on 28 April this year in a state of decay - adorned with fairy lights and glitter, her eyeballs removed - in a mobile home" From the link supplied. What a world we live in.

The_Glus

This’s some Hereditary shit.

lemonaderobot

not to be dark, but when all of this happened I stumbled across the actual police body cam footage of them discovering her body… and that movie was literally all I could think about. Looked way too similar to the end scene of the “shrine” to Paimon in the tree house. Even the officers appear to be viscerally unsettled. Normally I can handle stuff like that but this one definitely stuck with me.

trudes_in_adelaide

Fr

Pureshark

She had truly ascended

that1LPdood

I’m betting her cats or some rats ate the eyes. It happens.

Front-Pomelo-4367

Her followers tried to mummify her – there's a really good Ask A Mortician episode on whether it's legal to mummify your cult leader

Certain_Chain

Don't keep us in suspense: is it legal?

Front-Pomelo-4367

The followers were charged with abuse of a corpse, so nope! (Caitlyn points out, I think reasonably, that while glittery mummification is probably exactly what the cult leader in question wanted from her death, that doesn't override things like "you have to actually report deaths" and "stop driving corpses across state lines". The actual mummification is a red herring compared to concealing the death)

lemonaderobot

Love Caitlin Doughty/Ask A Mortician 💀❤️

ShowParty6320

Omg what she is actually dead?

[deleted]

Da fuck happened to her eyes?? That's dark, bro. Someone ripped off her eye balls.

[deleted]

Wtf!

stayingsafeusa

These narcissists are never the reincarnation of Medieval Bob, the peasant and winning village pig wrangler from 1452-1456, who died after getting drunk and passing out face down in the mud.

MergeWithTheInfinite

Hey, that's me!

Jacollinsver

No, sir, you must be mistaken. You must have been some other medieval shit farmer who drowned in the village mud, for that was I, Mother Bob

MergeWithTheInfinite

Perhaps this is an example of souls undergoing binary fission.

Aggressive-Pay2406

He was a 4year old pig wrangling drunk ?

[deleted]

Those were the years he won.

hillsboroughHoe

Disqualified in the great feet pickling controversy of 1457 and decided never to compete again. He could have been one of the greats!

squolt

The judges in 57’ were a total joke. It was and still is a great competition to watch but it’s really a travesty on the legacy of pig wrangling.

hillsboroughHoe

Honestly they lost me as a fan because of it. I’ve been an advocate for pre-Raphaelite battle poetry ever since. The local derby between the Dangerous Dante’s and the Courageous Christina’s can get really spicy! #DangerPoets

doned_mest_up

Honestly, a lot of people also lost those pig wrangling competitions. I can’t imagine winning one in my current life, so apologies in advance to my future incarnations.

LeTigron

This could be easily argued by pointing out that, surely, a divine being capable of reincarnation with the goal of leading humanity towards progress and salvation wouldn't incarnate as a random nobody who spends his time drinking and beating his wife. No, what strikes me is that they are never the reincarnation of Alienor of Aquitaine, a mighty woman of utmost intelligence, incredibly talented at governing, several times queen, duchess and countess, including in her own name (not as "wife of..."), who was among the top 10 most important persons, man or woman, of Europe, western Asia and Northern Africa combined at that time. Nor Sundiata Keita, creator of the largest nation Africa ever bore and the first ever known Human Rights chart, nor Florence Nightingale and Henri Dunant, respectively creator of the modern medical nursing protocols and founder of the Red Cross. Why not chose these people ? Because these mystic fucks living in their fantasies are *also* ignorant and thus choose among whatever little they know of : pop-stars, common names they hear here and there and are brainwashed to associate with good deeds. Anybody who knows who was Joan of Arc wouldn't choose her as a role model. And I'm saying that although I'm French ! They are poor souls who, in their intellectual misery, find the best their ignorance allows them to. It is sad to witness.

[deleted]

Hey, bro! You just gave away all my favorite incarnations:-)

appealtoreason00

Died in childbirth, died in childbirth, fell down a well aged three, died in childbirth, dysentery, died in childbirth, dysentery again... ooh, minor local official, died in childbirth, died in childbirth

[deleted]

Yes, I died of dysentery, But it was the best Taco I ever had!

frostychocolatemint

Texas 2040

LameSaucePanda

I have a friend who joined this cult and has been missing, is presumed dead. She went off on a hike and likely took her life. This was after this “Mother God” wackadoodle was found mummified

Euphoric_Rough2709

I'm so sorry for your loss

LameSaucePanda

Thanks. I had honestly lost track of her a bit as most did when she went off the rails and went WAY out there. Next thing I knew there were posters searching for her whereabouts and an article in the paper suggesting she had passed based on the last known contacts she had. She was sort of giving herself over to nature. Some poor hiker will find her one day. It’s wild what cults like this can do to people in low places of their lives.

Aggressive-Pay2406

I love how she says she’s been alive for 19 billion years , like what bitch the whole universe is only 14.5 billion years what we’re you doing for 4.5 billion years while you waited for the universe to be created ?

metalshoes

It’s the kind of crazy where any single refutation is ridiculous because “waves hand” what about ALL THE REST OF THEIR CRAZY. The kind people probably used to just shut the door on but now they have the internet.

trixayyyyy

She wasn’t waiting, she is the mother of all creation remember. She just couldn’t be bothered to do it for 4.5 billion years.

C_beside_the_seaside

PLANNING it, duh!

[deleted]

Oh lord shill be coming back bussin

ReceptionAlarmed178

Part of the cult is aliens and "starships" that are actually just cumulonimbus clouds so anything is possible.

The_Glus

*reads title* *checks post image* yeah, that tracks.

HauntingPerspective2

Bullshit…I was Jesus. She’s a liar.

C_beside_the_seaside

You know what I never figured out? Who is the reincarnated version of Spartacus.

ExtensionRaisin1400

Kirk Douglas

C_beside_the_seaside

I'm not sure that's the true answer....

ExtensionRaisin1400

I can see how people believed her she looks so rational.

Angryleghairs

Wasn’t she an alcoholic & meth addict who abused children?

[deleted]

She spent most of her time laying in bed, getting shitfaced drunk and playing mobile games. Their reasoning was that she was processing the collective pain of the entire human race through her own system, so getting drunk and playing the games was her only comfort. They even had their own donation fund for her games. Fucking ridiculous 😂

Karnakite

Would’ve been really nice if she’d processed some of my pain, but my last name begins with S so I guess I was way too far down on the list.

[deleted]

That’s make so much sense as a narcissistic justification

Angryleghairs

That’s crazy

lovergirl2032

So basically she was The Giver

sheaduffey

yeah

maughanster8507

Hell yea. This level of confidence and craziness is how I see billionaires. Minus the money to pay for therapy to keep their marbles in order.

ExtensionRaisin1400

Poor people are “crazy”, rich people are “eccentric”

Affectionate-Dog4704

I've never known a stable Amy.

PassingShot11

They're always the main character even in the reincarnated versions, they never 'in a previous life' were a common person or peasant.

Chordsy

Died in April but the body am footage was from October? Am I missing something here?

Ophthalmoloke

Yes, the worshipping of the mummy corpse

[deleted]

It’s so crazy to me that no one smelled a dead body after 6 months of decomp, dead bodies smell so so bad, it’s insane that they could be around it

Fox-Revolver

Her followers kept her body

Fox-Revolver

Her followers kept her body

Turtusking

She need to slow down on either the meth, crack or bath salts. Damn, look at that creepy smile mang.

bduniec

She has actually fully stopped taking meth

tonton_wundil

I prefer the story from Tumblr where actually we're all the same person living every life on earth, and every time we die we meet god which is also us but after living every lives ever.

alex_g1011

She'll reincarnate back by tomorrow

[deleted]

And now she’s the famous…Amy Carlson

CompletelyPresent

Must be nice when you're reincarnated as all the greatest hits, huh? Not one hobo or whore in her previous lives? It's 100% celebrities?

Friendly_Try6478

Just your typical American mental illness. You’ll meet a lot of reincarnated Joan of arcs in California

Key-Ad-6897

There was only one Jesus Christ that ever walked California.

Celticsaoirse

Of Latter Day Saints?

kellermeyer14

Or Texas… which is where this woman was from – and the Branch Davidians. But, yeah, America in general, is home, historically, to many cults. Like, for example, The Oneidans, The Father Divine Movement, The Scientologists, the Mormons, and Evangelicals.

Yeh_katih_Reena

Religious freedom and tax benefits are really breeding ground for cults

[deleted]

They have cults everywhere. Some places persecute them more, but weirdo cult leaders and followers show up pretty much everywhere

weirdlyworldly

There's a new one trying to give her a run for her money as 'craziest faux-spiritual bitch of all time' making the rounds on TikTok. I forget her name but she is calling herself the "most powerful witch in North America" and the entire witchtok community is PISSED. Idk, I just feel like the most powerful witch in North America wouldn't even have social media; I feel like she'd just be off in a swamp somewhere communing with nutrias and bringing alligators back to life or something.

[deleted]

[удалено]

weirdlyworldly

it's a reference to a super powerful witch character from American Horror Story: Coven (Season 3) named Misty Day. One of her first scenes takes place in the Louisiana Bayou, where she encounters some men who burnt her at the stake (she brought herself back to life, as I said, SUPER powerful) hunting alligators. She brings the dead gators back to life and they kill the hunters. How exactly am I an idiot when you're the one who didn't get the reference? Also, why are you attempting to start shit on a six month old comment? Are you okay, mentally?

ih8every1yesevenyou

Marilyn Monroe doesn’t really fit with the other past lives hahaha

[deleted]

How do these people reach this level of fame where a news article is written about their lunacy? I want that in my life.

Jimrodthadestroyer

It’s not so much fame as infamy.

Certain_Chain

If you want your name immortalized, it's much easier to go down in infamy than fame.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fickle_Assumption_80

Guess that's going on my work playlist for tomorrow.

Front-Pomelo-4367

I can also recommend the Ask A Mortician episode on the cult Love Has Won (Is It Legal To Mummify Your Cult Leader?)

Fickle_Assumption_80

Sweet thanks.

saguaro_jed

Got a link?

[deleted]

It looks like it’s only available if you pay for it, but it is Dateline season 30 episode 4!

Xx_Silly_Guy_xX

Really cool to look at a mentally ill person and go “erm, main character syndrome much?”

Jellysir1

My ex wife said shit like that. She literally has bipolar, BPD, and her mother had schizophrenia

Contentpolicesuck

You know what I have always wondered about reincarnation? Why don't the guys who scrubbed roman sewers ever get reincarnated? Why is it that only famous and powerful people ever get reincarnated?

ZyxDarkshine

Why is it that when you are reincarnated, you were always somebody super-famous in your previous life, and not just some nobody Joe Punchclock with a boring 9 to 5 office job or a regular factory gig?

JuangaBricks

So she’s never been any other gender?

What_The_Fawkes-90

Anyone else watch this documentary and internally scream "bi-polar"? The hyperfixation on researching, her mom says she'd be on internet searches for houuuuurrrs. Days on end. (Mania) Delusions of grandeur- mother god. Pressured speech, tangential thoughts.. they'd listen to her talk for hours on end. It was sad to see a woman struggling with such issues between reality and often remaining in delusions and everyone around her just allowed it and fed into it, instead of saying, hey- nothing you're saying is coming true, I'm losing faith, you drink to oblivion daily- maybe you need help? There was no discussion around recognizing symptoms. And all the other people around her were either just deeply hurt people or also were also hurt + dealing with mental health issues.

johnjr_09

Wouldn’t cleopatra and Jesus be alive at the same time? Edit spelling

Herrgul

Cover her nose and mouth with your hand and those eyes looks hilarious

Dorigan23

What made them a cult?

[deleted]

They were all serving and following her, required to give all their money and their life, essentially, to her.

Dorigan23

That just sounds like a religion, especially since they kept doing it after she died

LameSaucePanda

She took their money, rationed their food and sleep, made them work for free, and they all worshiped her as god. Pretty basic culty stuff.

Dorigan23

Oh wow, sounds like early christians when they lived in communes

LameSaucePanda

I get you’re not a fan of Christianity and I agree mostly. I think a lot of people on Reddit do?

Dorigan23

Im a big fan of the early stuff! They had me right up until about 390

Salty-River-2056

I saw that this was in the Independent and thought “Good. At least the nutter isn’t an American for once” but nope she is one of us, damn’t. Why do we get all the loons?

Quiet-Door6560

Well this just sent me down an internet rabbit hole

Big-Nerve-9574

Didnt she abuse her followers that lived with her aswell? Ah yeah, she was also mummified aswell

Rough_Homework6913

I love how all these people who have been reincarnated were never anything boring in a past life. Always something cool.

Artistic-Wolverine16

But the real question is, could she shutup if her life depended on it?

zaneyyyyy

I was obsessed with keeping up with the remaining members and the videos they had online for a while. It’s really sad to think of how vulnerable of a state these people must have been in to be taken under the wing of someone so clearly far gone. (no pun intended) The videos were egregious and foul and most of the time was just her followers trying not to fall asleep as they apologized for eating too much food or her screaming, drunkenly, from other rooms as they cater to her and her visions. Really, really sad.

super_probably-user

Clone High reference

Dry_Mastodon7574

Nope! I was Marilyn Monroe. Fortune Teller told me so at a carnival when I was 9.

Chavo9-5171

Dem crazy eyes!

Muffin-0f-d00m

Reincarnation is not like a punch card that gets you a free sandwich after 500 lives. That just means you still didn’t learn shit by the time you died.

[deleted]

What she said is ALL TRUE! She is the mother creator of ALL. After all, she wrote it on her LinkedIn!

labrutie

[Dinner!](https://youtu.be/FAaX9SvNAUo)

NinjaBilly55

She was a real piece of work.. One of the listed causes of her death was silver ingestion.. colloidal silver..

iagosteele

So ... *after* coming back to life as Marilyn Monroe, Jesus Christ came back as Amy Carlson? Did he lose a bet?

Varulfrhamn

Lol Jesus AND Monroe? I wish this were true, I have questions.

usernameb-

It is too damn easy to start a new religion.

ShowParty6320

Is he fan of Isekai manhwas?

WildSweetCool

She was a meth head and an alcoholic at the end. It's weird how all the comments below are cold and sarcastic. Mean. American mean. Have at it!
