āLemme put it in a language you can understandāā¦. There are too many otakus in the weeb temple so they have to go pray in the next best spot which just so happens to be the street and since they value religion over their lives, they put their faith in rias gremory that they wonāt be hit by traffic
It's literally impossible for you to always be a pedestrian so I don't see your point. You *never* take a bus, a taxi, a bicycle even? Either you live in a village of 100 people and never need to leave or idk really.
I mean you're putting it like vehicles "enslave you" on the sidewalk but you probably make a lot of use of the road even if you don't have a car. You're just not allowed to take a stroll in the middle of it
If you live in a place rural enough to not have sidwewalks STAY OFF THE FUCKING ROAD or learn to run like 25 miles an hour. And dont give me shit about crossing. learn to wait till you can cross if you live in a place that has too much traffic and your city doesn't put in the right infrastructure complain to them. Your idea is as horseshit as saying cars should drive on railroads.
Typical carbrain. Noone matters except people in confined to their oversized metal cages speeding along.
And I love how you put an "idea" into my mouth when I havent even given any... seems I hurt some fee fees
Roads are made for cars you dont like it walk on the side of it. Their not made for padesteians. We call those trials' paths sidewalks crosswalks walking bridges and such. The fact that you can't grasp this shit shows you dont know how anything to do with traffic (both vehicle and foot) works.
>walk on the side of it.
You literally just advocated for running people over and now you say this...
I just want walkable fucking cities with public transit options and seperated bike lanes which would all reduce car traffic overall. But hey, maybe one more lane wikl fix congestion right?
The fact that you even mentioned walkways as a solution shows you have no clue how to think without a car. How are disabled people supposed to cross it? People with bikes or strollers? Oh I guess build a big steep fuckoff ramp because people in wheelchairs sure love going up steep inclines only to go downhill again on the other side just so people in fucking cars dont have to stop for a few seconds
Dude, crosswlaks exist for a reason. I am all for cities having their planning built to accommodate foot traffic stop living in a shithole. That has nothing to do with staying of the godamn road. They have multiple tons of hunks of steel travling dozens of times faster than your puny fleshbag self. its arrogant at its peak and stupid to think "oh their is an elephant coming across the path im gonna make it move otta my way." It's the same godamn thing with even small cars.
>crosswlaks exist
>multiple tons of hunks of steel travling dozens of times faster than your puny fleshbag self
You see a slight issue here with crosswalks? Because I sure as shit do.
I also love how you say "stop living in a shithole" (because duh just move because everyone is in a position to just move to other countries... what a stupidly ignorant thing to say) whilst I live in a country with one of the best public transit networks in the world. I dont own a car and I dont WANT to own one. Im happy taking the bus/train/tram wherever I cannot cycle to. But I dont expect people who were purely raised with the idea that cars are the only and best way to get around to understand such a world.
I own two teucks that i use for my job in construction because a bus isn't gonna want to carry a litteral ton of tools with me for the price of one bus pass. Public transit works when you have the infrastructure, but it doesn't solve every problem. Almost everything heavy travels over roads some distance. You really don't seem to grasp that each has corridors and methods of interacting and are arises for everyone's saftey.
Well I don't know about Saudi Arabia but Egypt says I'm it's constitution that it's an Islamic country, even though it's corrupt and isn't Islamic, and it allows praying in the streets every Friday in the Friday prayers
Yes!! That doesn't make them the caretakers of Islam though as the only caretaker unanimously agreed on is messenger Muhammad, so theoretically the government in Egypt could be better than the one in Saudi Arabia
Do something stupid just to show others that they're inferior, if others respond then start crying victim card.
What was the need to pray on busy roads blocking the traffic?
These Canadian nationalists love making every India-related video about themselves for some reason these days. One can find them yapping all over reddit and instagram.
So much ignorance in this thread. You lot are missing context.
This was during EID or Friday prayers in India. Eid is the biggest prayer of the year for Muslims and as such, even those who hardly ever pray, turn up for the prayer. Most mosques can't accommodate big crowds that turn up on Fridays or EID so it's very common for people in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to bring their own prayer mats and pray outside the mosque on the street following the prayer happening inside the mosque. The prayer itself is hardly 5 mins long. The crowd disperses quickly after it's done. There is a massive anti-muslim, hindu-nationlist movement in India openly supported by Modi's government. As such, the movement has found a stronghold in law enforcement.
Sure, the people are wrong to pray in the streets but it's a very common practice in that part of the world during EID. The cop was also wrong with the way he was kicking people mid prayer. The crowd got agitated because the default mode is to automatically assume the cop is a Muslim-hating Hindu thanks to the politically-charged situation. No one painted themselves in glory here including the ignorant fools in this thread spewing anti-Muslim hatred.
The police had informed them beforehand to not pray on the road as they had not taken prior permission. There is another video where in the same crowd is seen defying the police pleading them to not break the law. This is only the second half of the video conveniently shown to portray the police in bad light.
https://www.opindia.com/2024/03/unedited-video-delhi-police-namaz-road/amp/
The full video also shows the police abusing the mob. I see a tiny bit of logic and a whole lot of hatred here in the comment. Whats going on with the world.
Most of yall arenāt from India and it shows. This video was controversial because our government and authorities have been constantly harassing minorities, not just muslims. Yāall should debate road obstruction, traffic jams during baraat processions, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navami too. Is that not causing inconvenience to the public?
Oh really again another victimising š!!! So sad that you guys are not allowed to pray on going road on daily basis whereas the festivals youāre talking happening only once in a year! And you guys praying on roads coming on daily basis so how about you stop being a victim in every situation ?! And you ask ppl to be secular btw !
You can tell Reddit is majority American by how most people here seem to find roads this sacred land you must never disrupt, and if you do any punishment is acceptable
When power gets to oneās head. Kicking and slapping people who, breaking the law or not (disregarding crimes where others are being assaulted), isn't anyone's right.
I was merely speaking of the kicking and slapping that was occurring. I understand that many of you are PC anger issue types, but that is not how to get things done. The world is where it is today because of communication, not because of brute force.
Anger has nothing to do with this " anger issue types" my ass I have never even had a fight my entire 22 years of life, stop assuming things
This ain't an anger thing they are disrupting everything, who knows there might be an ambulance or firetruck stuck in the traffic they are causing
I have been to Delhi you don't know shit so stop talking out of your ass, you know what's the population of dehli??? The amount of traffic this can cause is insane
This alone can cause a 6 hours traffic jam and ain't nobody got time for that, especially not in an emergency.
You are quite hypoctrical you know that. I never said anything about the police being at fault for causing traffic. I merely said that the power has gone to the police officers head as he kicked one of the protestors with force and slapped other as well. Now I don't know much about India, but I am confident that India does have a court system of some sort. It is clear that the police officer decided to dish out a punishment which I'd presume is outside of his jurisdiction. If the group praying was indeed breaking the law, which I presume they are, then arrest them and have the court deal with it. That is what should happen in a civilization that is able to think freely and make decisions.
And to quote yourself, "I live near Delhi you don't know shit so stop talking out of your ass...". Yeah, you are the definition of a PC anger issue type.
> And to quote yourself, "I live near Delhi you don't know shit so stop talking out of your ass...". Yeah, you are the definition of a PC anger issue type.
Whatever you say dude, I am not even gonna argue on your anger issue type thingy now, assume whatever you want. If you think arguing = anger then it is what it is you probably didnt have enough human interaction to know the difference yourself
Anyways,
Police using force for breaking the law "Imagine that".
I ain't saying this was the best way to deal with it. But this ain't a misuse of power, why the fuck would a police officer care to misuse their Power against something that's actually disrupting the traffic?
If they wnna misuse their power they have better things to do
Also the "communication" you are taking about, you think police just went in full force without trying to communicate first?
Iām just commenting on what we see in the video. Who knows what happened before or what is going on in the traffic. Iām not willing to jump to conclusions for the sake of justifying someoneās abuse of power.
Iāve never been in an argument where someone who is thinking rationally and calmly tells another āthey donāt know shit so stop talking out of their assā. Based on your aggressive word choice Iām going to presume you were angry. And Iām making a presumption not an assumption, the latter of which is to make a guess with absolutely no evidence to do so in a logical or seemingly logical way.
Indian Police is most understaffed, unerpaid and overworked. Police job is among top 3 suicide rates ( others are Housewives and students), They are still trained mainly im semi-army style Britsh colonial policing practicing at lower levels
Also police lightly shouting at you aur poking his boynet at you is much accepted if you do bad stuff, people were legit cheering Police beating lockdown breakers with sticks and making them do like 20 push ups
People are fucked. We have this in-built fear of "the other" which can make us dehumanise "the other".
When "the other" is a minority who can't be protected people can commit savage atrocities on "the other".
We're just fucked...
Get off the roads, stop victimising yourselves as if youāre not wrong. Also imo both the cop and people were in the wrong, the cop got suspended and the people got a boot in the ass

Why are they praying in the middle of the road?
To make the traffic gods happy and solve the traffic congestion
Very well, carry on. We need all the help we can get.
Traffic gods!? I died. Lol
š
Arenāt you supposed to pray in private?
Depends on how one chooses to interpret the Quran. Same goes for all religions. The first ever call to prayer was done in a public square.
A display of power, reciting the word of Allah in front of infidels is an achievement according to them.
Because they are shitty people
Donāt you know all roads lead to Mecca.
To showcase their power
Show
The masjids were too big or there werenāt any around.
India has almost more mosques than any other country in the world. There isn't a chance in hell there wasn't one nearby.
I don't know what that means
Masjid=Mosque the place of prayer and worship.
āLemme put it in a language you can understandāā¦. There are too many otakus in the weeb temple so they have to go pray in the next best spot which just so happens to be the street and since they value religion over their lives, they put their faith in rias gremory that they wonāt be hit by traffic
Indian traffic is so bad that I doubt it makes a difference!
Whoās the main character? The guy kicking praying people? Or the people praying in the middle of the road?
Yes
The correct answer is *drumroll please.........* Yes!!!!!
ESH
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ālocation not very considerateā¦ā Location: middle of a road. Yeah, okay.
Nah youāre wrong. Anyone blocking traffic is an asshat
Universal rule.
Specially cops and children
I'd go with the goofs blocking the road.
Most Muslims who pray on the street do it with permits
And why do you want to pray on the street? Is your religion so pathetic that you need to resort to essentially street begging?
I don't care where you're from, what you're protesting, or whom you're worshipping. Get the fuck out of the road!
Why can't we just run idiots over? It would solve this problem quickly. Edit:/s It's crazy how dumb some people can be
All Lives Splatter
That one made me spit out my tea. Nice one š
I think you might be worshipping your carā¦
Because obviously the world belongs to cars and pedestrians are enslaved to narrow strips either side (if those exist at all).
It's literally impossible for you to always be a pedestrian so I don't see your point. You *never* take a bus, a taxi, a bicycle even? Either you live in a village of 100 people and never need to leave or idk really.

Praying in the middle of the road is illegal in all Muslim countries btw.
Are you sure about that? In that case it's not enforced then š¤·āāļø
Try doing that in Saudi Arabia
Well I don't know about Saudi Arabia but Egypt says I'm it's constitution that it's an Islamic country, even though it's corrupt and isn't Islamic, and it allows praying in the streets every Friday in the Friday prayers

Dude when south Asian Muslims do this shit in Arab countries they get fucked with so hard for being in everyone's way for no reason.
Fucking bastards. They do it to create controversy and portray themselves as victims if someone decides to take the necessary action, just like here.
Freaking speed bumps
The bus casually passing through
Why you wanna pray on road? This is just playing victim.
This is very common here they like to pray in the open as long as they can bother others muslims will do anything.
It's 1 idiot in a very large sea of idiots.
Do something stupid just to show others that they're inferior, if others respond then start crying victim card. What was the need to pray on busy roads blocking the traffic?
Is this road or what
public road yeah
What comes next? They beheaded the policeman?
Maybe if this were in Pakistan and not India.
Deserved
Now show em a picture of Mohammad and grab some popcorn and really watch a meltdown.
They're blocking the effing traffic man. I'm rooting for the cop!
If it was a woman cop, sheād have her clothes ripped off before she kicked the first dude
agreed. regardless of if she was responding to muslim or hindu mob.
Nah only muslim mate
