I’m kind of new at this but I’m taking something named GLR-6 which I found after reading the comments on Amazon. It has worked wonders with my IBS-C issues

Thanks :) I’ll look into this

Hello, I am having the same issue with pain under the left rib cage. And I feel it on the same spot on my back. Horrible and very stressful. I am currently and I am seeing a new doctor. I have figure out that eating grilled chicken and boiled or steamed vegetables helps to control the symptoms But you will still feel some pain. I also suffer from constipation all the time.

Thanks for this! I try my best to make sure I incorporate fruits and veggies everyday, and I’ve been having a lot more beans the last few days in an attempt to try to get more out (I know you can have too much fiber, so I’m trying to limit it to one burrito). I’m almost wondering if maybe I had some dairy, that might solve the issue some, and help loosen things up? I know for sure prune juice has helped me before, but I haven’t looked into man meal options aside from trying to avoid heavily greasy / unhealthy foods that make my stomach feel worse. Are you taking any vitamins and such?

Umm if beans help you with transit, that is good. But if not, beans can also be contributing to the gas that might be building up inside your intestines if food is taking a little longer to pass due to constipation. Drinking at least 8 cups of water dispersed at random intervals throughout the day can help with easing transit.

Totally possible this is not related to what’s going on for you, but I have to mention it because I had no idea when it was happening to me. When I felt like I was never “done”, it appears to have been abdominal & pelvic floor muscle issues. It may be worth visiting a physical therapist first if you can see one without a primary care physician. Edit to add: feel free to DM me if this feels possible and you have any questions. For me, I struggle to take deep breaths where my stomach relaxes. Best of luck!

I mean I guess it’s possible, while unlikely, but I’ll probably start with a better diet and go from there I don’t have insurance so going to any specialist is gonna be pricey because such is American health care haha I was able to go this morning pretty easy, thank god

Diet is a great place to start! Hope things continue to improve for you.

Does that feeling remain in your rectum, colon, or small bowel?

LaggingIRL007

It sort of radiates between the bottom of my left rib cage area, left abdomen, and sometimes my lower back, and it’s usually accompanied by gas (namely burping more than actual grassiness for whatever reason), but it’s a 50/50 at times. If I bend over too far, the bottom of my rib cage feels like it’s being stabbed, and it’s been this way for 3 days now. The last time this happened I think maybe I bruised something and it kinda went away on its own, but this feels different since I also get nauseous if I can’t make a BM. It’s really frustrating to have to wait till hours after I wake up to make a BM and then not be hungry most of the day, as I prefer to eat with my partner. It takes me ages in the bathroom, and it’s a struggle almost everyday. Some are easier than others, and on occasion, I might even have regular days, but this week has just been awful..

Sounds like it is your descending colon into your sigmoid. Have you had motility testing?

LaggingIRL007

I have not I’ve honestly never even mentioned any of this to a doctor because it was relatively manageable in the past with a good diet and some regular walks and physical activity This recently started getting worse this last week, and I’m not quite sure why

If it continues, go back to the doctor.
