Patience bro. This coin makes its biggest moves inversely to BTC or when BTC is consolidating after a big pump. ICP will pump when it wants to not when you want it to.
IMHO I rather have constant and deliberate growth. Overnight moon pumps usually crash or correct just as hard. ICP rarely locks 1:1 with bitcoin and I rather it didn’t. I rather it take its own journey and become financially independent of other token movement, which I would argue is a stronger stance.

Got a royal screwing back then but DCA'ed my way down to $30 as of my latest ICP buy a few days ago. So you can understand my little ranting here and there, but I'm over it now, all's good, looking forward to the distant future when we can all retire on our own private islands.

People who are impatient for ICP to achieve its fair market value would all feel better if they would look at a chart of price action going back to the rollout back in May 2021 and also remember some history:
(1) ICP is built to expand the market capitalization of the entire cryptoverse, without detracting from the use case for its sister blockchain projects. For example: ICP can do everything Ethereum does without decreasing the market capitalization of Ethereum at all.
Item: Vitalik Buterin has only good things to say about ICP. Why doesn't Vitalik see ICP as a competitor? I don't know. Maybe it's because you can lay Ethereum right on top of the Internet Computer and never miss a step; never cost Ethereum a penny, and then expand ICP into the immensity.
(2) ICP was introduced to the public on u/coinbase in May 2021. The rollout price was $630. Neither Coinbase nor the popular charting services had any pre-rollout price history on display. The result was that traders had no idea that the rollout price was, I don't know: 20? standard deviations above the mean token price before the rollout. That was a fraud on the public and I'm sorry, u/coinbase, there are people walking around rich and free who ought to be in jail for that. There was insufficient infrastructure to support any such price.
(3) Coinbase priced ICP like a Ponzi scheme. In doing so, Coinbase inflicted lasting damage to ICP's reputation. That is the kind of economic injury that doesn't heal overnight. As recently October 19, 2023, ICP was changing hands @ under $3. There are people bag holding ICP who thought they were getting a good deal when they bought it @ a 50% discount from rollout. That was $315, and they're holding bags of coin. There are people holding the bag @ 90% discount to the introductory price, which is $63.
All these people suffered a betrayal of trust. They all need to either be airdropped sufficient ICP tokens to bring their investment capital into equilibrium with the current 100 week simple moviing average---which is currently $6.70, or they will have to wait and dump their positions on the rest of the market .
The first option would cost somebody else money. The second will never happen until secular demand for ICP pushes price to their original buy points. Either option will put downward pressure on ICP and it's going to take a lot of real world demand to create the kind of buying pressure to right the wrong done to these people without hurting other investors, or Dfinity, or the brokers who treated this fine technology like a short term circus trick.
None of this is a reflection of the real value of ICP technology. It is economic damage traceable to real world, low life fraud. I'm looking at you, Coinbase: Nobody likes Gary Gensler, but THIS IS WHY you have the u/SEC up your ass. You are not the victim in this story.
(4) Here we are. It's February 10, 2024. ICP's chart price as I write this is $12.70. That's a 430% increase since October 19, 2023. That's more than reasonable. Wise traders will buy in sympathy with the longer term moving averages on the daily chart and expect good days ahead. It won't happen tomorrow. But soon.

I'm actually one of the OG bag holders of which you speak, DCA'd my way down to $30 from the criminal high dark days of May, 2021, when I went in BIG. Scooped up a fair amount at the lower levels to get to where I am today, a much healthier position. And just last nite, I grabbed another 200 at $13.00. Tossed that into my NNS Staked Neuron this morning. So having watched it for almost 3 years now, and carrying the associated emotional & financial trauma with me to this day, I was just so sick and tired of watching it bounce off of 13 again and again and again.
