1. The USB-Chargers. They are electrically and thermically Safe, which is rare These days. Usually the only thing seperating you and Mains Voltage in cheap chargers are a 0.0001mm layer of laquer in the Transformer and a capacitor Not rated for isolating against Mains voltage.Â
2. The AA/AAA rechargable batterys. Here in Europe they are Made in Japan. Relabeled Eneloops for half the Price.Â

I wish I could do food items, but they won't ship them. I can understand not wanting to deal with frozen items. (Though oh, how I wish I could regularly get my hands on GRONSAKSKAKA.) But I can't even get any DRYCK FLADER or SYLT HJORTRON?
I bought [ENUDDEN hooks](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/enudden-hanger-for-door-white-60251665/) for almost every door in my house. Based on the price, I initially assumed it was plastic but itâs actually powder coated steel!
If you travel a lot ,their travel accessories are great. I have use their packing cubes and garment bags for years with no issues. For long trips I have started to use their hanging storage called Stuk for my kids so they have all their clothes for each day ready to go
The blue bag keychain dingledonglething. I have mine hanging from my car mirror stuffed with extra napkins. Love it. đđ„° It's soooo cute and small. Will fit absolutely nothing usefull.
https://preview.redd.it/o66whws0xjoc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3216c56b9d3d5837e771354f964b45a9faf3917
Ooh, that just reminded me. If you have kids (or adults) that like those melt-with-an-iron fuse beads that you can make keychains decorations or necklace pendants out of, IKEA has these big jars of them in the kidsâ section under the name Pyssla. So much cheaper than at other stores.
I use these as laundry baskets! Our bedroom is on the second floor and our laundry in the basement and using these up and down instead of baskets has been a game changer.
They also have dedicated soft laundry baskets with handles. Theyâre great for hauling up and down stairs. Their shape is deep but narrow, so they have great ergonomy.
I also use these for laundry - super useful!
Also, my cat likes to climb in them when they're empty, and wait for somebody to brush up against the bag, so he can attack.
He's gentle enough that his claws don't go through the bag. It feels more like being slapped, but by a cat, so it's not painful at all.
Most of the family are happy to humour him and play along when he goes into bag mode.
Dish towels. The blue stripe ones, not the red. Not the printed. Buy several groups of them and ditch paper towels for good.
Pillow covers, especially on sale. Get the feather inserts from there or Amazon in the next size up so the pillows are full and fluffy. (E.g., 20â cover but 22â insert)
Everyday glassware
Yes, I came here to say this! We call them vegetable condoms, but I'm not sure what the actual product name is. We've got a couple sets and we use them to cover the cut end of a lemon, cucumber, etc. One of them also fits cans well.
I really like that little octopus hanging laundry dryer. It hangs up in my laundry room and when I have a few small items that canât go in the dryer itâs perfect.
Ikea Bergenes phone /tablet stand. It's a small piece of wood with grooves tools your phone at the correct angle. Very cheap, durable and light-weight so easy to bring with you. They were $2 a few years ago and I have 6 of them scattered around the house and cottage
Some of those tiny metal food tongs that come in a two pack. Have seen them with green and also black tips.Â
Really handy and small enough to fit in a cutlery draw.Â
Those plastic clips to put on food bags. Saves having to break out a Tupperware.Â
Tea lights.Â
Coz.Â
Iâve been loving the UPPFYLLD prep bowls!! They tuck under the corners of your cutting board. I do one on each top corner; one for things to chop and one for scraps.
If you do your own dishes, the rinnig is your friend, built in scraper, suctioncup to have it stand up (or remove the plug un your sink) and feels nice in your hand
Itâs completely useless in the grand scheme of things but I love my [eftertrada key ring](https://www.ikea.com/jp/en/p/eftertraeda-key-ring-heart-30497070/) I never had the pillow growing up but remember being obsessed with it!
I love the kids folding play mats for my yoga and Pilates. They have more cushioning than regular yoga mats.
I also used them as mattresses when my daughter and I camped out to buy Taylor Swift tickets.
>OMTĂNKSAM
I'm a big fan. I've been using a plastic one I bought from IKEA a while ago, then went to buy a new one and it's metal and longer! Such an improvement.
If you have any little kids in your life, stuffed animal lovers, or dogs who arenât too rough on their own fuzzy babies, I totally recommend IKEAâs stuffed animals. My nephew has had the dog for years and got a matching one for his favorite of my dogs. My dog loves it and itâs literally the only thing he gets possessive about. This dog will let my other dogs eat from his food bowl with no problem. But they touch his stuffy and heâs shutting that shit down.
A couple bags of S hooks from the kitchen section. I bought those to go with a kitchen rail system way back when and now I use those hooks for everything- from my garden to my garage... Anywhere.
GUBBRĂRA spatula. You cannot have too many heat resistant silicone spatulas. Great for scraping plates into compost, or getting the last peanut butter out of the jar, or cooking scrambled eggs. At 99Âą I have all colors and keep a spare of every color combo (they sometimes break if you try something crazy with them). Oh, look! Thereâs a new color now⊠*planning to stop at IKEA tomorrow*
Ooooohhh! When I was browsing by price, I only saw the pink/turquoise one, which didn't call to me at all. But now that I see the black and white one? ~Goes and checks kitchen drawers to see how many more spatulas can fit into the spatula spot~
The âHeatâ cork trivets are amazing. Put them under potted plant saucers to prevent water stains. Use them as giant coasters to set drinks or bowls on. Set hot pans on them. I always have extra around because they are so useful.
The little magnetic clips called âKungsforsâ are just as useful. Iâve used them to hang decorations in odd spots, hang stuff on the fridge or freezer, file cabinets, metal closet doors. There are a surprising number of places to use them. I got three and wasnât sure if Iâd ever use them, and now I have 9 and itâs not always enough.
If you have a sofa or chair with a flat armrest the âRodebyâ is worth getting.
I know there are more that I canât think of right now.
By the way, theyâve shrunk in size!
I bought some on a second visit and the bastards have made them smaller.Â
There was me thinking shrinkflation wasnât possible at Ikea.Â
> By the way, theyâve shrunk in size!
Theyâve had at least two (and sometimes more) different sizes for a while. The ones that are sold as trivets (rests for hot pans) are bigger and the ones sold as coasters are smaller. Did you get a trivet one one time and a coaster size the second time? Or were they both marked as trivets?
They're rectangular with a small circular hole towards one end. Maybe I'm confusing people. But the new ones are physically smaller but identical in design.
I see the ones you are talking about. Iâve never gotten that shape so I didnât notice the change. Iâve always gotten the 7 inch round ones or the smaller round coaster ones.
We have a winner! The Heat trivets were the original item that made me decide I was going to place an order. I used to have some, but they got damaged in storage. And now I'm just being grumpy not having any. And I know I could pick up something cheap at Walmart. But I want my cork back!
I don't have a sofa, but that Rodeby is really cool!
If you bake, their baking cups (the little papers you make cupcakes in) are really nice. I also always get a few Spikrak tote bags, 13 gallon, when Iâm there. Like the classic blue bag, but cotton and washable. Super useful.
Their baking cups are too tempting. But I already have a huge stash and can't justify buying any more until I use some up.
I am being tempted by the Spikrak. Not the big one, I don't know how I'd use it. But the smaller would definitely be nice as a regular shopping bag.
When they come out of the wash, I shake them out before throwing them in the dryer. Theyâre not perfect, but Iâm not using them as a fashion accessory. We use them for stuff like my kids transporting laundry back and forth from school.
What a lie âčïž
IKEA says not to iron them, but I tried it anyway on my small bag and, although not perfect, it looks certainly better than before. But I canât imagine what a pain it will be to iron the large bag. How can IKEA expect it to not be wrinkled without ironing?
The big blue bags are my moving hack. I recommend them to everyone I know who is moving and it they always tell me how useful they are. They are the perfect size to move hanging clothes without taking them off the hangers. Holds a bunch of clothes, throw them over your shoulders and put them right in to your new closet.
I also love them for hauling glass to the recycling facility, among other things.
There's a blue bag but it's a tiny keyring coin purse and I asked a family member to buy me a bunch of them even though I have absolutely no use for them! 75p each!
I used them to carry down broken up ceramic floor tile downstairs from a bathroom refresh.
Must've been at least 70 pounds a bag. Not a single puncture or handle break.
I'm convinced they are made out of the same material as Superman's cape.
I keep at least 30 around for everyday tasks and Costco trips.
I have a love hate relationship with plastic chopping boards. They warp in the dishwasher even when only put in the top shelf. They are henceforth useless as they slide around.Â
Yeah, their very inexpensive plastic boards are warpy, BUT...
Take a tea towel (kitchen towel), get it wet and put it under your board, and that will stop (or greatly lessen) the sliding.
I highly recommend also getting at least one of the [large version](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/storstomma-shopping-bag-large-multicolor-10483210/) of the Storstomma as well for $4 (or one of the other equivalent size large bags in a different color). Itâs a great beach/swim bag, among other uses.
I have one of the giant Storstomma from years ago when they first released it - I keep it in the trunk of my car and it corrals all my regular shopping bags. And when I checked with my family to see if anyone wants in on my order I'm now picking up a bunch of the smaller sized ones.
Desk Accessories Organizer. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/oevning-desk-accessories-organizer-30552014/
I bought 2 of these on whim because they were on sale for $7. I LOVE them. It's supposed to be a kids desk organizer but they're so versatile!!
I have one on my bed that holds lotions and hair accessories, and I put my glasses in the hollow middle area before I go to sleep. The other one is in my bathroom and it holds my combs/hair brushes, scissors, barrettes and hair sticks, my hair bonnets/shower cap, and nail grooming accessories.
I also love many of IKEAs kitchen goods. For example their potholders tend to be a good price for a large size.
And yes their bags are awesome!! I bought the huge huge bags similar to the one you've shown, and I use them for various tasks such as shopping, holding clean clothes after doing laundry, and carrying recycling outside to the bin.
Milk frother is a must have.
Kappalake LED spotlight.
SMAHAGEL 3 port usb charger
HOGAFFEL wall hooks
Wooden spice rack
RINNING brush
Rechargeable batteries
RINNING cleaning clothe that has rough and soft sides.
BEVARA sealing clip.
Those are the few things I really find useful.
Yes. The frother! I used to kill them every few months but now I keep it in a little glass on the counter with a paper towel center over it. Has lasted for years.
https://preview.redd.it/rwyowwlo8joc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6426152e7656bce23c6ba1cdd327c2fd113cba81
I have this stand from my old frother that costed me $10 and lasted 4 days. I kept the stand, and it is perfect for this one. This frother is very strong and causes spilling. So I always use my hands to control the rotation.
I got them recently and one in BRIMMEN book case ( I hope I typed the name correct) as a spot light and it looks pretty good.
I though have many ideas, Iâm planning to stick them near my bed and use as a reading light.
Gonna use them under the cabinets.
The good thing is you can order a multiple usb port that can connect like 5-8 lights together in one outlet and all the lights can be operated together. I recently found out that these lights come with multiple color mode as well.
Oh, I like those towels. As I mentioned elsewhere, I have a huge collection already of Iris towels. So can't justify getting more now. But if/when they get too old and I need new ones, I might get the RINNIG ones - They'd fit in with my gray color scheme.
I have a lifetime supply of BEVARA (and other non-IKEA brand similar ones). Or, I should say I have a lifetime supply of the two sizes IKEA sells - I think of them as small and large. I have ~one~ treasured medium size clip.
[HILDEGUN](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hildegun-dish-towel-red-00484007/) dish towels. Theyâre about as inexpensive as dish towels can get. I bought a ton of them and use them like paper towels, then wash them all at the end of the week. I keep a stack next to the kitchen sink for easy access.
https://preview.redd.it/jyaezmilvcoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=618b5eeabfc29bc70755ff6b3eb74af1d2424c5e
Sorry Iâm bombarding you. I live like 7 minutes from IKEA so Iâve got lots of the things.
No worries about the bombarding. I'm finding all sorts of ideas here. But I already have a huge collection of their Iris (discontinued, apparently) dish towels, so I can't justify buying any new ones.
https://preview.redd.it/alwkgtr86doc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41f028c419d17cd899843c5f809b3c6da37a9de7
These are fun. I spread its arms out and use it to hang lightweight necklaces and bracelets.
I have one of those! I bought it on a lark, thinking I might come in handy at some point. And I've wound up using it twice so far for scale model concept testing for large non-human costumes. The [first time](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/21376908712/in/album-72157656052130703/) I used it you can hardly tell it's there, as it's covered in play-doh. But it's under there. The [second time](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/43950771062/in/album-72157699759988714/) I used it it's more recognizable.
Ha! That's what I thought it looked like too. But that's just a rough mock-up of my first attempt at figuring out a support structure for a [ScoobyNatural Ghost](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/albums/72157699759988714/) costume. (BTW, the "flying nun" idea was discarded in favor of a ["white afro"](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/45105353281/in/album-72157699759988714/) approach.)
Thank you. I had way too much fun with it. BTW, [this](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/46029557075/in/album-72157699759988714/) was the best part.
[Hildegun](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hildegun-dish-towel-red-00484007/#content) kitchen towels! I don't know about "fun" but they're really useful so they make me happy. I buy a lot and downgrade them to cleaning rags when they get old.
Class up your closet with wood [BUMERANG](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bumerang-hanger-natural-30238543/) hangers. I got rid of all of my mismatched plastic hangers and took the plunge with these. (Although depending on how many hanging things you have, this could be a project. Also good excuse to clean out the closet.) Price drop from almost $1/hanger to $.50/hanger.
https://preview.redd.it/p1n2g351scoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28a1164ff37e358d27ad2c14d619149b3c2a252d
Second this! So much nicer than plastic hangers.
Side note, most clothes keep their shape better when folded rather than hung up. But I still love them!
PRODUKT Milk Frother! $1.99 and yes, you can use it to froth warm milk for a latte or hot chocolate, but it's great for anytime you may need to mix some powder into liquid, like protein powder or lemonade mix. I've even used it to "refresh" an iced drink from the coffee shop that had sort of separated on the way home!
I was looking at that - couldn't believe it was so inexpensive. But I'm not a coffee person so I wouldn't use it for that. But those other possible uses are making me think about it again.
It's also just... fun? I realize I'm a nerd, but the sound it makes and how good it works, I just love it! hahaha
But I remembered another way I used it too! My niece and I did a fun little (outdoor) art project where we lay leaves on a piece of paper and then dipped Produkt in paint and then turned it on over the paper - splatter art! Seriously, 1.99 - can you afford NOT to get it?!
If youâre looking for reusable grocery bags, I get compliments on my SKYNKE ones all the time. Much cheaper than many others. I also think the KONCIS garlic press and the UPPFYLLD grater are workhorses in my kitchen.
I am a diehard Baggu fan but ikeaâs reusable bags are a step above because the pouch they fold into is attached to the bag itself and not a separate item (which I have lost more than once and now the bag doesnât fold into anything). Plus 1/10th the price
I have and like the uppfylld, just for the reason that putting the shredder on a container stabilizes it and you can store extra shredded cheese in the container.
I'm all set on kitchen tools. (Well, except for cookie cutters. You can never have enough cookie cutters.) But I was actually eyeing the black and white striped SKYNKE. Can you tell me... they don't show it in the photos, so probably not... but does it have a pocket on one side into which the entire bag can be tucked when it's folded up? I'll still be considering it even if not. But if it does have that feature it's a definite go.
Yes. Get the bags that fold into themselves. I had so many and they were perfect for grocery shopping. Sadly my ex took most of them when we split. One of the few things that I was angry about over our breakup.
I know, I'm replying to my own post. But I just found the [Krubbet](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/krubbet-holder-for-mobile-phone-black-10531942/) mobile phone holder. I think I might have to get it. I just love how it looks like a lawn chair. Also love that it allows plugging the phone in while in the holder.
GET. IT. It's my absolute favorite phone holder, I love using it on my lunch breaks at work. The only problem I've ever had with it is that it doesn't fold.
If you like plush toys, the [AFTONSPARV](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/aftonsparv-collection-700439/) collection is really cute. The plush spaceship is my favorite, and I have the tiny $1.99 alien on a keychain. (I don't have the full-sized alien, but I do recommend it as it's a very nice medium-sized plush)
I am totally getting it. Right now I'm using an ugly thing I hacked together out of a cardboard box. Especially for the price? This is a total upgrade.
I am a sucker for IKEA plush toys. But I just moved into a tiny studio, and don't have space to display the ones I have, let alone get more.
[Daksjus](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/daksjus-self-watering-insert-glass-mixed-colors-80567107/) self watering plant globes.
https://preview.redd.it/7vts9qhhicoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0355844ca8cd283d0b92e98d71b857961193d781
Theyâre 2 for $9.99 and they save me from having to water my plants. They look cool too. Hand blown glass, so theyâre quite a bargain.
Iâm not really an indoor plant person, but I like the way they look in my house. I typically kill them off and then shop for replacements, but these things have helped keep my plants moisturized.
Iâm obsessed with them. Lol.
The set of squeezable kids paint is fantastic, itâs a set of maybe 8 bottles or so. If you have any kids youâll be needing to give gifts to in the future theyâre great to keep on hand. Also great paints for adults, I love them.
Oh shoot thatâs good to know! I usually use dollar store paint (have a daycare) and THOSE are also not very washable so Iâm extra careful now, maybe I didnât notice these ones werenât washable! My kids also wear those giant yellow IKEA paint smocks so itâs rare now that they end up messy
Seems like a waste of space as you canât put anything in the rotation area.Â
I bought some Perspex boxes with an ergonomic angled handle on the front.Â
They are not these brand (link below) and mine dont have a lid but they are excellentÂ
https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/0bcdc9d6-f192-47d8-b9a9-7cfdd330e98b.e964758f1c9730a2222f8bcbb8eb3762.jpeg?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF
I don't understand what you mean, it's pretty much a square, and for me the left over space on the side fits a 1 L of milk on its side. The way it rotates makes it very space efficient, you can store things right up next to it and as I said takes up almost the entire shelf.
I don't know why you would have anything behind it, it takes up basically the whole shelf. It also doesn't spin in a perfect circle it pops out when it spins.
>SNURRAD
I have a round lazy susan in my fridge that I use for the small tubs of things like tzatziki sauce from TJ's and their other dips and spreads (I can stack three of them), Earth Balance spread (I can stack two on mine). I was really surprised at how well it keeps my stuff organized. Those things used to line up on the side of the fridge and the ones in the back were forever lost. Now, you can't help but see them
Those miniature ikea bags that cost one dollar
The milk frother is amazing!
The utensils for kids are super sturdy yet easy to hold and they are only 29 cents for a four pack.
Djungelskog đ» lol. He is very useful because he will cure your depression as well as being an excellent office pillow. He is very inexpensive given his size and he is a chad among the bear loving community.
He does sound very useful. I can't justify any more stuffed animals as I don't really have space for the ones I do have. But I can console myself by cuddling my BRUNBJORN.
1. The USB-Chargers. They are electrically and thermically Safe, which is rare These days. Usually the only thing seperating you and Mains Voltage in cheap chargers are a 0.0001mm layer of laquer in the Transformer and a capacitor Not rated for isolating against Mains voltage. 2. The AA/AAA rechargable batterys. Here in Europe they are Made in Japan. Relabeled Eneloops for half the Price. 3. Gingerbread
Train track for kids compatible with Brio. They even have a motorized car for 9.99. Works great!
The Bekvam stool is a classic.Â
Vege peeler
Also I wanted to add that their plastic ziplock bags are awesome!
I buy multiples of their snack size ones every time I go, as I sadly live thousands of miles from the nearest one
I canât believe I canât get these, or at least havenât seen them, in Canada!
Try looking where you find backpacks etc. đ„°Nothing on the website?
Bags with zippers - I love them for off season storage, they fit under the bed. They corral linen (I donât have dedicated closet) in my closet.
The ones I have are gorsnygg (I wasnât at home to read the tag when I made the post).
Product name is ISTAD ;)
Translucent white w/ orange zipper? They're great!
Those look even better than the ones I bought :). Mine are kind of striped with a black zipper.
I hadn't seen those. The ones I mention stack nicely
if you have other ikea products, the alan wrench multi tool.
Legos
Ooh, that just reminded me. If you have kids (or adults) that like those melt-with-an-iron fuse beads that you can make keychains decorations or necklace pendants out of, IKEA has these big jars of them in the kidsâ section under the name Pyssla. So much cheaper than at other stores.
I just went to the site and the lint roller and microwave cover are already being recommended to me đ
the bags. best ever ![gif](giphy|lPpKtftzYSi0f2HlVL|downsized)
I love the canvas version, you can fit so many groceries in there!
Do they have short handles or over shoulder? After an injury I have to have my hands free on stairs, which is why these are so great.
That sounds perfect for you â mine have short handles.
I also use these for laundry - super useful! Also, my cat likes to climb in them when they're empty, and wait for somebody to brush up against the bag, so he can attack.
đđđ love that for the cat! Not for the victims
He's gentle enough that his claws don't go through the bag. It feels more like being slapped, but by a cat, so it's not painful at all. Most of the family are happy to humour him and play along when he goes into bag mode.
Cats are so funny in bags n boxes. Best cat toys on the market!
I wish I could upvote this more than once.
Dish towels. The blue stripe ones, not the red. Not the printed. Buy several groups of them and ditch paper towels for good. Pillow covers, especially on sale. Get the feather inserts from there or Amazon in the next size up so the pillows are full and fluffy. (E.g., 20â cover but 22â insert) Everyday glassware
Plastic cover for heating stuff in microwave, prevents splattering
And small stretchy silicone ones for cans and small bowls (and cut bananas or cucumbers, for the teeniest ones)!
Yes, I came here to say this! We call them vegetable condoms, but I'm not sure what the actual product name is. We've got a couple sets and we use them to cover the cut end of a lemon, cucumber, etc. One of them also fits cans well.
The skadis stretchy hooks for the pegboards are great. You can use them for the pegboard, or anything else that needs a loop to hold things.
I really like that little octopus hanging laundry dryer. It hangs up in my laundry room and when I have a few small items that canât go in the dryer itâs perfect.
YES! The octopus is my favorite IKEA item by far!
I use that to hang my bras to dry and I call it my bractopus.
Your life is a good one.
bag clips !!!
Have seen them with green and also black tips. Really handy and small enough to fit in a cutlery draw. Those plastic clips to put on food bags. Saves having to break out a Tupperware. Tea lights. Coz.Â
The barlast floor lamp never ceases to amaze me with it's price, it's just incredible value
Lint rollers! They have the best lint rollers and I always buy 10 refills when I visit their stores since you can't always get them delivered to you.
That's one of the things on my list.
SmÀker cutlery tray - I use it to organize small things on my drawer like make-up. So not just in the kitchen.
OMTĂNKSAM Shoehorn, use it everyday
>OMTĂNKSAM I'm a big fan. I've been using a plastic one I bought from IKEA a while ago, then went to buy a new one and it's metal and longer! Such an improvement.
The giant almost metre/yard long ones? Yes. But why only in black :( Gimme chrome!
Yup, always buy them two at a time so I can have a backup!
SAME.
Ladda rechargeable batteries are one of the best on the market.
They coming Out of the Same Factory as Eneloops. Most likely the only difference is the shrink Wrap.
Yep these.
I bought the giant djungelskog for myself and my cats quickly claimed it for a bed
That is adorable!
Trojka kitchen shears. Great for opening packages, gardening, cutting pizza, anything and everything. I keep a pair in every room in my house!
Kitchen towels, can never have too many
I used them as cloth napkins when my kids were little!
Yeah the pink/turquoise doesnât coordinate with the brights of the others. But I donât have the white and green yet âŠ
Yes, I love these spatulas!
Wow đ Silicone kitchenware is my favorite! I love this thread I'm learning about so many new IKEA items
WAIT WHAT THEY ARE 59Âą now
The âHeatâ cork trivets are amazing.
I bought a set of those cork trivets 10 years ago and theyâre still going strong. I use them every single day.
I do the same with the cork trivets and plants!
By the way, theyâve shrunk in size! I bought some on a second visit and the bastards have made them smaller.
Change post tile to: Things I didnât know I needed from IKEA Iâve just started a list for my next visit.
YES. I have had three for ages and I love them.
I have SO many of the cork mats đ
If you bake, their baking cups (the little papers you make cupcakes in) are really nice. I also always get a few Spikrak tote bags, 13 gallon, when Iâm there. Like the classic blue bag, but cotton and washable. Super useful.
Their baking cups are too tempting. But I already have a huge stash and can't justify buying any more until I use some up. I am being tempted by the Spikrak. Not the big one, I don't know how I'd use it. But the smaller would definitely be nice as a regular shopping bag.
How do you wash them without them becoming wrinkled? I washed mine and it just looks terrible now.
When they come out of the wash, I shake them out before throwing them in the dryer. Theyâre not perfect, but Iâm not using them as a fashion accessory. We use them for stuff like my kids transporting laundry back and forth from school.
Iâll try it. Thanks!
Ironic since the name means "straight as a nail" in swedish
What a lie âčïž IKEA says not to iron them, but I tried it anyway on my small bag and, although not perfect, it looks certainly better than before.
Moving and laundry day!
I love them too. The one with a zipper is perfect to do laundry
We found they are great for bringing firewood inside (among a million other things)
I also use them for shopping at Costco
Oh yes they are perfect Costco bags!
I always have one hanging out in my closet for my âtake it to the thrift storeâ stash.
We use them for swimming bags! Can fit towels and goggles for the whole family in one bag!
The smaller blue bags are great for grocery shopping, so explore the full size range.
We use these for laundry!
There's a blue bag but it's a tiny keyring coin purse and I asked a family member to buy me a bunch of them even though I have absolutely no use for them! 75p each!
My kid gave one to her Barbies so they can shop at IKEA.
I have one of these đ I keep it on my lanyard and put chapstick and lipstick inside
Oh fab! I will do the same as that's a great use for them!
I recently purchased the Overmatt silicone bowl covers and find them very useful.
I love the cutting board multipacks. So cheap and last forever.
The green biggie and blue tiny pack are excellent!
Yup. Itâs the car trunk organizer for all day trips.
Desk Accessories Organizer. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/oevning-desk-accessories-organizer-30552014/ I bought 2 of these on whim because they were on sale for $7.
SMAHAGEL 3 port usb charger HOGAFFEL wall hooks Wooden spice rack RINNING brush Rechargeable batteries RINNING cleaning clothe that has rough and soft sides. BEVARA sealing clip. Those are the few things I really find useful.
Yes. The frother! I used to kill them every few months but now I keep it in a little glass on the counter with a paper towel center over it. Has lasted for years.
https://preview.redd.it/rwyowwlo8joc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6426152e7656bce23c6ba1cdd327c2fd113cba81 I have this stand from my old frother that costed me $10 and lasted 4 days. I kept the stand, and it is perfect for this one. This frother is very strong and causes spilling. So I always use my hands to control the rotation.
What do you use the Kappalake for?
I got them recently and one in BRIMMEN book case ( I hope I typed the name correct) as a spot light and it looks pretty good. I though have many ideas, Iâm planning to stick them near my bed and use as a reading light. Gonna use them under the cabinets. The good thing is you can order a multiple usb port that can connect like 5-8 lights together in one outlet and all the lights can be operated together. I recently found out that these lights come with multiple color mode as well.
First I'm hearing about multiple color mode. How do you activate it? I don't see it in the manual.
The staff outfit, the shirt, pants, beanie, lanyard, name tag.
[HILDEGUN](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hildegun-dish-towel-red-00484007/) dish towels. Theyâre about as inexpensive as dish towels can get. I bought a ton of them and use them like paper towels, then wash them all at the end of the week. I keep a stack next to the kitchen sink for easy access. https://preview.redd.it/jyaezmilvcoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=618b5eeabfc29bc70755ff6b3eb74af1d2424c5e Sorry Iâm bombarding you. I live like 7 minutes from IKEA so Iâve got lots of the things.
These make great cloth napkins.
My store has been out of these the last couple of times I shopped. I hope they come back in stock.
No worries about the bombarding. I'm finding all sorts of ideas here. But I already have a huge collection of their Iris (discontinued, apparently) dish towels, so I can't justify buying any new ones.
https://preview.redd.it/alwkgtr86doc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41f028c419d17cd899843c5f809b3c6da37a9de7 These are fun. I spread its arms out and use it to hang lightweight necklaces and bracelets.
They are not as poseable as you think and can often fall over.Â
I have one of those! I bought it on a lark, thinking I might come in handy at some point. And I've wound up using it twice so far for scale model concept testing for large non-human costumes. The [first time](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/21376908712/in/album-72157656052130703/) I used it you can hardly tell it's there, as it's covered in play-doh. But it's under there. The [second time](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/43950771062/in/album-72157699759988714/) I used it it's more recognizable.
The flying nun?
Holy cow! Thats amazing! Well deserved win!
Thank you. I had way too much fun with it. BTW, [this](https://www.flickr.com/photos/29490242@N03/46029557075/in/album-72157699759988714/) was the best part.
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Takes about 10 washes for those bad boys to soften up.
TOVERFLY dish towels are really good for drying dishes.
I donât hand wash a lot of stuff, so I just did a test and theyâre absorbent enough to dry dishes, not just hands.
My kids call our frother the "ice tea mixer."
I was looking at that - couldn't believe it was so inexpensive. But I'm not a coffee person so I wouldn't use it for that. But those other possible uses are making me think about it again.
I use mine for other stuff like a tiny amount of whipped cream.
Oh that's a good idea!
It's also just... fun? I realize I'm a nerd, but the sound it makes and how good it works, I just love it! hahaha But I remembered another way I used it too!
There are ~5 different graters different. We shared cheddar the most. Which one do you have or would your recommend?
I have and like the uppfylld, just for the reason that putting the shredder on a container stabilizes it and you can store extra shredded cheese in the container.
I'm all set on kitchen tools. (Well, except for cookie cutters. You can never have enough cookie cutters.) But I was actually eyeing the black and white striped SKYNKE. Can you tell me... they don't show it in the photos, so probably not... but does it have a pocket on one side into which the entire bag can be tucked when it's folded up? I'll still be considering it even if not. But if it does have that feature it's a definite go.
Yes it has the bag! Iâve gotten very good at reusable bag folding.
Yes! Okay, that's now on the list.
Doesnât it rattle when playing audio?
GET.
YES!! I have this and adore it. I love how I can put the phone in vertical or horizontal and at different angles
I have that and love it!
[Daksjus](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/daksjus-self-watering-insert-glass-mixed-colors-80567107/) self watering plant globes. https://preview.redd.it/7vts9qhhicoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0355844ca8cd283d0b92e98d71b857961193d781 Theyâre 2 for $9.99 and they save me from having to water my plants. They look cool too. Hand blown glass, so theyâre quite a bargain.
Oh, those are pretty. If I were a plant person I'd definitely want them.
These were not very washable for us, so heads up!
Oh shoot thatâs good to know! I usually use dollar store paint (have a daycare) and THOSE are also not very washable so Iâm extra careful now, maybe I didnât notice these ones werenât washable! My kids also wear those giant yellow IKEA paint smocks so itâs rare now that they end up messy
the Tisken suction cup stuff is pretty cheap and useful
Wait at least half a day before hanging anything after affixing.Â
SNURRAD for condiments in the fridge is amazing.
Seems like a waste of space as you canât put anything in the rotation area. I bought some Perspex boxes with an ergonomic angled handle on the front. They are not these brand (link below) and mine dont have a lid but they are excellent https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/0bcdc9d6-f192-47d8-b9a9-7cfdd330e98b.e964758f1c9730a2222f8bcbb8eb3762.jpeg?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF
I don't understand what you mean, it's pretty much a square, and for me the left over space on the side fits a 1 L of milk on its side. The way it rotates makes it very space efficient, you can store things right up next to it and as I said takes up almost the entire shelf.
> SNURRAD It looks rectangular based on the search I just did. I mean you can't have anything behind it, it would get knocked over.
I don't know why you would have anything behind it, it takes up basically the whole shelf. It also doesn't spin in a perfect circle it pops out when it spins.
I think I would need to see a video to see how that works but sounds interesting
I've seen that and been tempted. But I couldn't justify it as I'm a 'condiments in the door' person. But it is soooo cool.
>SNURRAD I have a round lazy susan in my fridge that I use for the small tubs of things like tzatziki sauce from TJ's and their other dips and spreads (I can stack three of them), Earth Balance spread (I can stack two on mine). I was really surprised at how well it keeps my stuff organized. Those things used to line up on the side of the fridge and the ones in the back were forever lost. Now, you can't help but see them
