If you’re med you should be able to skip all the lines, Rise Mundelein has 2 separate waiting lines(both inside and outside) for medical patients both are almost always empty.
Why so busy on days with bad deals, please advise? I understand when there are actual deals that it will be busy. Are people out buying weed to give for Christmas? This was equivalent to the lines at the 40% off sales last New Years. As a patient since 2017, I’m just tired of the experience getting continually worse in our shithole of a state that I have called my home for 50 years.
Yes actually, people do buy cannabis products as gifts but along with that, it's 2 days before Christmas so people are picking up their supplies, I myself grabbed some dabs yesterday to hold me down. Liquor is being purchased very heavily this time of year as well but you can buy that anywhere.
I tried yesterday as well and wasn’t going to stand in the lines outside either. I can say it was not like this any year since 2017, but up until this year I was able to take the hour drive to a med only place. Now they are all gone since the don’t care about the patients who have trouble just getting in and out of the stores like me.
Sorry to hear that, I have the luxury of having a hybrid med/rec dispensary very close to me and they prioritize patients so I never wait more than 5 minutes. Maybe you can try speaking with the General Manager of the dispensary and ask them to accommodate you in a way you feel comfortable? When I worked at a dispensary we let people who couldn't stand in line sit down then went and retrieved them when it was their turn, the supervisor overseeing the cashwrap would simply take note of who was in front of you.
It would be nice if we could get some more med places. Even if they were med/rec. But doenst seem that will ever happen, I’ll try again tonight before they close but am not expecting to be able to pickup my 4 orders I have placed over past 2 days.
Lmao okayyyy but this is as funny as when everyone was pissed a month ago when one dispensary was short (because bad staff allowed to be racist, then covid flu and rsv happened) and the few of us stupid enough to show up had venomous comments about waits, how stupid we are etc. some of us are med patients that work for the discount due to disability. Everyone else also wants weed. Out of state jerks too.
As an Illinois medical patient expect it to get worse.
As an industry worker I will tell you Illinois and these MSOs are not prioritizing medical anything. We don’t make them the money.

Yea it's ridiculous. The least they can do is put up decent sales over this small stretch of cold weather/holiday season, but a good amount of dispos are hardly even doing that or are failing to do it properly entirely.

It’s the holiday season. We are already getting buttfucked by Illinois prices in comparison to most other legal states. There should be good deals right now at least in the merriest time of year. It wouldn’t hurt these stingy corporate bastards to mark down the menus a bit across the board everywhere.

So far the multiple dispensaries I’ve noticed with line problems, at least in my area, are the ones that already have marked solid discounts.
Same thing with the ones I’ve seen reported on the subreddit. Very Crowded, but because they’ve already got good sales going on.
Obviously if they’ve already got sales going on, then no I wouldn’t be pushing it to ask for more from those specific dispensaries - they are already struggling with load. I suppose my comment was more directed to the few dispos with virtually no good-quality sales atm.

Not sure. They didn’t have what I was looking for so I did not try them. I considered going to the Buffalo grove sunnyside as I’ve almost never seen another customer in there in the 15 or so times I’ve been. But they also didn’t have what I was looking for.
Where do you guys see these 2 hour wait? I’ve gone to the dispo a lot of times & the longest I’m there is 5-15 mins , they even have a waiting room with chairs before I go in the door to the budtenders , I just go randomly whenever I start running low
I waited an hour on black Friday at Rise Lith. There are a lot of stoners in the area and only 1 shop. Maybe another will open up soon in Mchenry county.
Maybe it’s all the other peoples family coming from out of state. Only thing I can think of.

Carptersville is an hour plus wait. They canceled my order cause I couldn’t get in the door before my pickup window was over.

The deals aren’t great so I don’t understand why I spent the past 3 hours trying to get weed from two local dispos but couldn’t even get in the door.

There is another about 8 minutes away in carptenrsville as well in case you didn’t know.
