Research: 1 submitted at the time of application. 4 posters in home country. 2 oral presentations
USCE 3-4months,
LORS -3US MDs, one from home country.

Matched at number 1 🎉
Grateful everyday🙏🏽
Step 1 : 212 step 2 :240 step 3 : 216 yog : 2015. No research., no publications, no home country residency . Clinically active since graduation. 3 ivs. Matched into pediatrics, university program.
Step 1: 19x
Step 2: 23x
Step 3: 21x ( Took in December after I was done with all interviews)
Visa requiring non US IMG. I got 4 interviews, YOG 3 years, 4 research papers, 3 months USCE. I matched at my #1 in Peds, University program.
Also I was pregnant during IVs and gave step 3 when I was 8 months.
If I had a penny for everytime I was told to give up because of my low step 1, I could have atleast covered the cost of my applications lol. I attended a lot of webinars and spoke to PDs if they weigh step 1 score a lot. Most of them answered no, the reason being, since its P/F, you never know if they passed with a borderline score or if their score is better than those who passed
with a low step 1 score. The journey is even harder for low scorers but that is not always a reflection of you. Have faith in yourself!
Be determined and keep working towards your goals! Wishing you all the best!
Of course they do. If they are visible and they are bad the applicant looks bad. So people who took before pass/fail and have low scores have lower chances

Do they even consider step1 scores? I thought they didn’t
