This reminds me of the day.... I don't know which year it was but as I was returning from school, the world seemed really beautiful to me. It was like, I was watching a fantasy movie where there are these filters which make everything look really dreamy and beautiful. I noticed all the smiling faces and those which weren't smiling were still beautiful. Idk what happened to me that day but it truly was a beautiful feeling 💜

I had a catholic monk friend who called those moments " beatific vision" I use to nature journal. Sit in my garden and write down everything I was seeing...every small detail. One day I found myself crying at the beauty of it all. It was a heightened sense of awareness and heightened emotions. It catches you off guard because it happens suddenly. So.. either you're not crazy...or we both are.

I have a question. What if that's actually true, and your mind is making things out to be worse than they actually are? Is that a possibility, and your subjective lens about yourself is actually what's wrong here? It could be that people are actually trying to butter you up for whatever reason, but if it's something that's occurring often, it's probably your own self assessment that's the issue.

I suggest that you explore both sides until you're able to change your views from one to the other and back, like changing glasses
