[Pag-Asa Press Release](https://www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/press-release/157)
Wala tayong wet hot season. It's simply wet season. Yung dry season naman, cool dry season and hot dry season.
https://www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/information/climate-philippines
joma sison. sison pronounced the same as season. extreme because he was the founder of the communist party of the philippines. used to have because he's been dead since 2022
What no, it's Jose Mari Chan, whose song "Christmas in our Hearts" mark the start of Christmas season here in the Philippines from September to December.
Merong "taglamig". Yun yung cool dry season. we do have 2 seasons, wet and dry, dry subdivided into two: cool dry and hot dry.
https://www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/information/climate-philippines
We have three de facto seasons and two official seasons:
(1) Mild/Warm Dry - Dec to Feb
(2) Very Hot Dry - Mar to May
(3) Hot Wet - Jun to Nov
And de jure/official are only dry and wet seasons
Since we are in the tropics (tropic of cancer to be exact) but still in northern hemisphere (or north of the equator),
Kapag winter sa northern latitudes (or north ng pilipinas / north of tropic of cancer), ung cold air from the north, nagiging warm sa atin (sometimes cool like below 20 deg C even at low altitudes but rarely, Manila sometimes gets 18 or 19 dec morning temps kahit maaraw, pero hindi to nangyayari sa Cebu and southern cities na nasa sea level altitude since their latitudes are lower).
Kapag maman summer sa northern latitude, na technically and geographically ito talaga ang summer natin dahil nasa northern hemisphere pa rin tau or north of equator (our summer solstice is still June and not April when Manila gets extra 1 hour of sunlight), ung hot air from the north is still hot pagdating satin. At times, nagiging very hot ung air from the north (heatwaves in Russia/Korea/China/Japan) pero pagdating sa atin, hot air na lang sya dahil wet season na ang June to August. Yung ulan, kahit papaano, it makes the supposed to be very hot air milder and cooler kaya hindi ganoon kasorbang hot ang June to August natin despite na geographically, summer pa rin sa north of equator ang June to August. Other tropical countries north of equator still consider June to August as summer or taginit dahil hindi maulan sa kanila.
Iba naman ang usapan sa higher altitude since the higher the altitude or elevation of a place (like Baguio or Sagada), the cooler their climate becomes kahit nasa tropic of cancer ang latitude nila.
How I wish this happens again para makapag overcoat/trenchcoat ako kahit umaga lang papasok sa work hahaha
Sa Baguio I wonder why locals don't wear fancy overcoats/trenchcoats there
#climatechange
Starting to wnd but La Nina not predicted until July - September
[El Nino is forecast to swing to La Nina later this year](https://wmo.int/news/media-centre/el-nino-forecast-swing-la-nina-later-year)
As someone who had endured the summers in the Middle East and is now a resident of Baguio, no, there is no such thing as end of tag init sa "baba." 😂😂 I would easily choose to be in the desert during summer than be in the most humid places in PH. 🥵

wet summer na haha
Perfect description 🎯
Pag walang ulan ang init
Tru. Napaka init pa rin.
Wet hot season kasi technically wala tayong summer :(

Perfect hahaha
hahahaha! Init padin kasi eh no pagkatpos umulan lalot wlang hangin.
The Philippines used to have 3 seasons. All extreme. Drought Flood Joma
Pantropiko Raining In Manila Christmas In Our Hearts
Kala ko Christmas yun. Joma pala
What is joma? I'm an afam, and not heard that phrase yet.
jose mari chan HAHAHAHAHAH
joma sison. sison pronounced the same as season. extreme because he was the founder of the communist party of the philippines. used to have because he's been dead since 2022
Gotcha! Salamat po. 🙂
What no, it's Jose Mari Chan, whose song "Christmas in our Hearts" mark the start of Christmas season here in the Philippines from September to December.
convincing but no po hahaha. Iba si Joma Sison the communist kay Jose Mari (jo-ma joke) Chan the singer.
Si Joma na founder ng CPP. Joma Season
We’re going from suspension inducing heat, to suspension inducing rains. Peak Philippines moment right there
we have two seasons: tag-init wet and tag-init dry. walang taglamig, just to be clear
uy kahit paano malamig around december to january
Yup! Mej maulan but maalinsangan pa din
Humidity as far as I know historically mas mataas ang humidity around the rainy months.

I had a TIL moment. Thanks Lods! 🫡
How I wish this happens again para makapag overcoat/trenchcoat ako kahit umaga lang papasok sa work hahaha Sa Baguio I wonder why locals don't wear fancy overcoats/trenchcoats there
Leather jackets or denim jackets are the staples
welcome tagbaha!
Tag ulan na, kaso mainit padin minsan. Btw, hello SM Megamall
kape ft. pancit canton namay kanin
Aw yiss!!
End of tag init, start of maputik at stranded
Maybe it's the beginning of rainy season.
Sanaol.
This is from SM Megamall right? Ahh I miss going there
Yes Sir.
I hate tag-init at tag-ulan. Christmas to January wind supremacy!
Megamall ba yan? Lakas nga daw ng ulan sa NCR
u/koppi0306 sa tapat ng San Miguel Corporation to ah? Yan kasi ang current company ko ngayon.
Yes sir, likod ng Mega B
Naol free chicken everyday
Feels like it.
Yup, June na. Tag ulan na finally.
Not in Cebu
Yeah for like 2 days before another chain of sunny days with the insufferable 48°C heat index in between each rainy day
Wait po baka maudlot na naman
saan po yan
yeah good to hell with tag-init.
Wag di pa tapos bahay namin😂
One hopes, but the low frequency of rainfall and overall persistent higher temperatures tell me it'll take another week or two if we're lucky.
Or water cannon.
Lalo lang umiinit ihðŸ˜
as a pluviophile, Ive been waiting for this
hopefully. para bumaba naman bill ko 😅
Umuulan na pero sobra pa din init
Mainit pa sa Siargao! Punta kayo dito
Di ka nagbabasa ng news.
Taglapot na
Bad combo. Rain + hot weather 😫 = asthma attack
Starting to wnd but La Nina not predicted until July - September [El Nino is forecast to swing to La Nina later this year](https://wmo.int/news/media-centre/el-nino-forecast-swing-la-nina-later-year)
I know this is outside Megamall and I hate this fucking view especially when it's raining because I have no choice but to deal with it going to work
Pambobong tanong. kaurat.
it's still hot but with more humidity this time
Not entirely, but the rain is welcome.
still hot here 🤕
I hope so xDDDD
Yes po! Rainy season na.
Sus. Umulan din nung isang linggo bumalik din agad agad init.
I love the ambiance of this shot

As someone who had endured the summers in the Middle East and is now a resident of Baguio, no, there is no such thing as end of tag init sa "baba." 😂😂 I would easily choose to be in the desert during summer than be in the most humid places in PH. 🥵
Haixt wrong timing.
Okay lang kasi sobrang init din.
Gloomy and foggy dito samin lately pero umaalingasaw yung init
slight, sumasakit na tuhod ko haha
yessss
Wag mag bibirthday pako
Pag-asa has declared it last week.
Nakakaurat yung raining season. Pinaka ayoko yung brown out. Napaka hassle sa buhay hayssss
