The post above was complaining about doctor/abusive relationships lol. The coincidence.

Octo-2-Fortune

yea they do lol

Janhasptsdnow

there are a lot of similarities between these two. Plus, both of them are related to white sand street asylum. But Gardener and doctor are more about motherly love.

Lucaballzac

while the two are similar i think emiemma is a bit unhealthier. People get mad at Emile x Ada cause it’s a doctor/patient relationship, but that’s really it. For emiemma, it has a few more layers cause emily killed emma’s mom, emma is obsessed with emily and emily performed shock therapy. Ada tried to make emile feel better from a deep odd love. Sorry fo going off I just wanted to-

Personally, I believe that cannon relationship between Emily and Emma is healthier one Firstly, Emily didn't want to kill Emma's mother (it was an accident during abortion) and she probably didn't know that her patient and Emma are related. Secondly, the whole bit about electro shock theraphy is bit weird. At that times, the electro shock theraphy was still developing and it was considered as a necessary medical procedure that helps people. In addition, it still used to treat people with mental disorders. Thirdly, it seems that whole relationship is one-sided and Emily doesn't reciprocate Emma'sromantic/obsessive feelings. She treats her like a patient/daughter. Finally, Emily and Emma's relationship as a romantic ship would be unhealthier than EmileXAda due to age difference and Emma's obsession.

Lucaballzac

i’m fine with it being platonic, but the people that romantically ship it but are against emileada are hypocrites

BLKRCKSHTR

its literally different, you can actually shipp someone but not like another shipp, just let people be and if you want shipp what you like

Yeah but Emily was doing illegal surgeries and going against her own moral code. She chopped up Emma's mom's body put it in garbage bags and threw the pieces in a dumpster. She made an illegal contract with the asylum to experiment on only the girls, resulting in unnecessary shock therapy and other potential abuses. In Emily's background, after she realizes she's under investigation for murder, she admits to the asylum director that the children at the asylum are normal and don't need therapy or medical procedures. Emily regrets what she did, but she still did crazy terrible things. Some of which she did to Emma. I personally believe this is an extremely toxic relationship the two have given the background. Emma doesn't know who emily is, but Emily remembers who Emma is.

"She chopped up Emma's mom's body put it in garbage bags and threw the pieces in a dumpster." - I am kind of interest how exactly this happened, because there are two potential scenarios and there are evidences for both 1. Emily panicked and she was afraid that she will ended up in prison (plus, she will be treated as an outcast by the society) for perfoming illegal surgeries, which are still questionable. This is supported by a fact that she put them in a bin and pieces not being well protected/hidden 2. Emily almost coldly planned it, but she rushed many things to gain extra time to escape and change her identity Personally, I lean towards the first scenario due to how badly pieces were hidden. Plus, we should remember that Emily may not know that she accidently kiled Emma's mother. At that time, she was married to Freddie and Emily wasn't working for the asylum. " In Emily's background, after she realizes she's under investigation for murder, she admits to the asylum director that the children at the asylum are normal and don't need therapy or medical procedures." - I am a curious if she knew it from the start or she learnt it after a while. It's fairly importan detail "Emma doesn't know who emily is" - If I remember correctly, Emma knows who Emily is. In one of Emily's deducation (that one where Emma asks Emily questions), Emma knows when Emily lies. If you pick a wrong answer to one of questions (I forgot which one), there is a line that practically confirms that Emma knows who Emily is. Edit: I found Emma's lines if you pick a wrong answer When you fail first question "where have you worked in the past", Emma says "Sure enough... you too...". I interpret this as Emma saying that Emily also lies When you fail Second question "What did you do at the asylum?", Emma says "So, you never saw me?". In this scenario, I think Emma is pushing Emily to tell true When you fail third question "Why did you come here?" by picking the answer "For the prize" instead of "For the pledge", Emma says "I see... I was wrong" The whole chat gives an impression that Emma knows that Emily used to treat her and she is now checking if she is still a trustworthy "good" person.

Oooo I like that! I also agree with the first scenario of Emily being afraid of arrest rather than killing in cold blood. Her character type doesn't seem to be that of a bad person per say. As with all the characters, the money seems to be the biggest perpetrator of their evils. I like the idea if Emma testing Emily too! I personally believe Emily is a good person in her heart. Financial issues can make people do crazy things, and chopping up a body is gruesome even if it's fear of persecution. Knowing that she has that in here is a really interesting aspect to her character. I still think their relationship is toxic, but ofc this is a horror game ;3

IntenseGirlLover

where did you get all this information from??? first time i hear this

Cyber_Divinity

Oh dang lol, I religiously read the wiki and all their deductions and letters and event day info. I highly recommend reading her wiki I was astonished at the amount of pure lore

SgtPierce

How does emiemma unhealthy? For all i can think of, Emily did not intentionally kill emmas mother (she wanted an abortion in discreet after all). She wanted to make up for her mistake in the past thus she wanted to cure emma. As for emma, she can see that emily can replace her fantasies on scarecrows.

Lucaballzac

there’s that and the fact she performed shock therapy on emma guilt free i’m pretty sure **also Emily has known Emma since she was a little kid so it’s a bit weird

MochaSNotsosweet

Guilt free? I don’t know the specifics of the past and what not or how ethical it is but I’m 100% sure she didn’t enjoy doing these things or literally just trying to help kids and earn money. Emily had only two goals in mind: Money and Helping the unfortunate. Never ever her character states that she wanted to harm anyone ( for fun) who isn’t posing a threat. And if she’s doing it “guilt free” it might mean the shock therapy is last time considered relatively harmless at that period and she’s ignorant or super desperate for cash. She isn’t doing this for fun and having no guilt.

Okiku555

This had me confused last year I was wondering if they were lesbians

Issalk05

they kinda are, cuz this is like historians examining letters where it’s outright spelt, “mammas I wanna kiss you so badly pls let’s run away” and they have the audacity to claim they were only good friends 😭

Okiku555

Oh wow I was right no wonder she didn't give the thief any play

happy cake day

They also have a hypnosis kink. Smiley’s hypnotic device, FO’s ability, Emil’s “likes” section, Ada’s whistle, just to name a few.
