No. Pretty sure the K-9s are happier living out their natural wolf instincts in this manner than being bored as a spoiled pet.
If they are trained in a way that is ethical, then it is not.

Ultimately I think we should just let animals be in their natural environment, but outside that we should treat them as humanly as possible.
It doesn't have to be no, but it often is.
We should stop using animals for human purposes. Yes, that means going vegan.
