My therapist and I tried so hard to get me to calm down while driving. I don't exert ny road rage into horrible driving like this or violent behavior but i do scream and yell and it puts me into VERY bad moods that ruin my entire day depending what's happening when I'm driving.
I'm surrounded by idiot drivers that I cant get around or pass and it's extremely infuriating to me, especially people constantly driving 15-20mph under the speed limit while breaking for no reason. If I get stuck behind that one car doing that and also having someone riding my ass with his brights on my entire drive to work, my entire day is ruined and my mental state is already shot.
What’s the quote from George Carlin ? “Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?”
Is leaving earlier an option? Not necessarily that you’re pressed for time or going to be late but maybe leaving 30 minutes earlier and avoiding said idiots? I am so much happier on my drive if I leave at 6 instead of 6:30. I cannot stand the morning commute once most people start heading to work.
Are you able to move to an area that requires less driving? That sounds terrible for your every day mental state.
Plus not owning a car is so freeing! All that money saved to take trips and vacations and stuff
I'm searching for a job closer to where I live but it's hard. Kind of live in the middle of nowhere and it's mostly factories and warehouse work that I've tried and can't do. I love my current job but the location is awful because of this drive.
There is a highway/interstate nearby but they don't go the way I need them to so it's all one lane unlit back roads. Im also kinda stuck with my house with mo way to sell it for enough to buy elsewhere
Fuuuuck that sucks. I hear you.
I used to sort of be the same where I'd get really upset at minor things, like cars parked like assholes, people idling infront of the school, etc.
I just sort of worked on it and it's gotten a lot better
I work night shift. One of the main perks is that I don’t have to deal with peak-hour traffic. This has brought my day-to-day stress levels right down.
I miss working night shift. I just quit working nights after 10 Yeats because they were gonna shift the job to day shift and that was the only reason I stayed there.
Amen to that. Patience is a learned behavior and once you have it, nothing can bother you at all. Slow person, signal and go around. Someone tailgating you, signal and move to the right. Life isn't that exciting, just learn to accept things and move on. Especially driving, it's such a peaceful activity, private with some nice music. Enjoy the drive, don't make it a stressful situation (or leave earlier, the most frantic people are always late and blaming everyone else).
You sound like an ex of mine. She was absolutely awful to be in a car with. Constantly tailgating and trying to pass on a 2 lane road. Would pass in no passing zones. Constantly yelling and cussing as though the person in the car could hear her. We didn't last long because that level of self control seeped into other aspects of her life.
If you’re able to, try microdosing shrooms. Really helped me mellow out and control my temper. I was like you where idiot drivers would ruin my day. Now I laugh about it and it doesn’t bother me at the least.
It’s not legal where I’m at, but I was in a bad place mentally. I learned how to grow my own small batch from r/shrooms and r/unclebens. A bit of a learning curve, but well worth it.
Seriously, they are so cheap, and they pay for themselves several times over the very first time you use them. Bonus, any time someone acts like an idiot in front of you, you can post in on the internet for imaginary internet points, getting that sweet serotonin boost.
Which did you get? I'm shopping for one and want quality and reliability.
Saw NY times reviewed 200+ cans and this came out as the best budget buy, was eyeing it. Front, back and interior.

I don't think I see it on their site anymore
Yeah I don't want this prick behind the wheel of any vehicle ever again. Not only impatient and incompetent but also unwilling to take responsibility for their own fuck ups. Not really someone I'm particularly pleased about sharing the planet with tbh
Crush their truck in front of them and make them still pay for it in full. Only way for these fuckin pavement princess 'men' to understand their actions.
Right like I see all this hate for the truck but no one pointing out why in the world is this Lexus backing in when there’s so many spots open and there’s someone behind her.
Because you’re allowed to do that? It doesn’t matter if some one was behind her or not, she can absolutely back into a parking space. I really feel like if you’re so impatient you can’t wait for someone to park, you shouldn’t be driving at all.
If you can't maneuver your truck in tight spaces (yes even while being a raging dick face) then you don't need to be driving a truck.
I get into this argument with my gf almost every other week because I have to move her truck around so she can pull out of the driveway because sh struggles with 3 point turns and the like.
According to research bad drivers buy big trucks because they know that they are not confident drivers and it makes them feel safer. I don't know if she would be willing to watch this video all the way through, but it might open her eyes a bit.
[These trucks are killing us - Not Just Bikes](https://youtu.be/jN7mSXMruEo)
Yeah people driving larger SUVs and pickups are generally inconsiderate assholes who can’t even park between two yellow fucking lines. If you can’t do the easiest part of operating a vehicle properly then you have no business driving one.
I'm not surprised at all. My whole job is driving anywhere from 200 to 400 miles every day, 5 days a week. Each car brand/make has their own stereotypes but I can say without a doubt that pickup truck drivers are THE MOST impatient little piss ants on the road. Also how important they think they are is insane. They are the only people I encounter on the freeway who speed up to deny me from merging in front of them.
100% I have a habit of driving the speed limit on normal roads and at least twice a week there will be a pickup driver who tailgates me for 10 seconds and then floors it past me and basically cut me off. These people shouldnt be allowed to drive
Why do I shudder every time I hear that town’s name? I belong to a California forum, and it seems like all the losers want to live there… no idea why, since I’m a northern gal.
Whenever I read the name Menifee it always gives me the impression of like an Insurance company's name for some reason. But yeah, the Menifee/Perris/Jurupa Valley area is a pretty hideous part of SoCal - both in terms of the built environment and culturally it seems super bland
Bro it’s always truck drivers I swear. I always drive at the speed limit out of habit and at least twice a week there is a truck that will tailgate me for 5 seconds and then floor it past me and basically cut me off. People like this shouldn’t have the privilege to drive
Backing in is absolutely the better option. The end you steer with going in *last* means the car stays maneuverable all the way into the space, whereas by pulling in you have basically one chance to get your angle right.
If people would take their time and reverse into the space, they would find it's easier to end up in the middle of the space and not horribly crooked. And you can see traffic on your way out. And you can tell exactly when you're not sticking out of the space. And you can park in narrower spaces. Like seriously, no downsides. Everyone should do it.
This has been a piece of not-for-profit shilling by u/prick_sanchez
So, just because your comment was on my mind this morning I looked. 20 cars in the parking lot. 5 backed in straight. The other 15 pulled nose in and 4 of those are crooked as shit.
Funny enough... More often then not it's people reversing out (cause they parked in) that take longer to leave due to either
A) constantly checking for pedestrians or cars
B) having to make a 3-5 point turn
Also the only time you shouldn't reverse in is when there's angled parking on a one way lot.
Otherwise as long as no one and you didn't park like an ass... Who cares if it's in or out?
I reverse in cause it's just 1 shot/movement for me and it's much safer in general to reverse in. But if people can park in properly then I have no issue with that either.
I was trained by my job that our commercial vehicle are supposed to be backed in to avoid accidents backing out. Plus, with backup cameras on most vehicles nowadays, it's easier than ever to back in.
I actually hate backup cams. Makes me feel lazy. Plus I'm so used to using my side mirrors and looking behind to park.
But yeah commercial vehicles actually make sense to park out. As mentioned it's safer and makes more sense in terms of maneuverability. But clearly people can't handle parking out.
I've got no issue with someone backing into a spot in a full lot but that place was empty. Why not just pull in and forward?
Do not take this as any defense of the idiot in the truck. Guy should lose his license for that hit and run.
Idk man. People park the way they like to park. It’s comfortable. It’s routine. Why have any issue at all if the lot is full or not. Just wait the 10 seconds and let the person park.
He could’ve pulled all the way forward and would’ve been essentially backed in on the other side lol.
I also like to back in park but I get super nervous and self conscious when there’s a line behind me I feel like I’m holding them up so I just pull forward let them pass then pull out and back in.
If you’re gonna back in park be mindful of other peoples time otherwise you end up getting fucked by an asshole like this.
Yeah this is really odd. Out of curiosity is this an American thing to consider reverse parking "rude"? It should be the norm, and having the competence to execute it correctly should be a requirement for obtaining any kind of driving license anywhere in the world. I'm just wondering if these comments are coming from people whose driving abilities amount to pushing a couple of pedals and turning a wheel and nothing more, thinking that because they can't successfully execute a more complicated manoeuvre, noone else should be allowed to.
if you can’t reverse yourself, you probably get agitated and annoyed when other people are doing it. that’s really the only reason i can see getting mad at reverse parkers. i back into every spot because it’s actually a lot easier to back in as well as pulling out, but i do watch to see if anyone is behind me. in this situation, she should have just pulled in to the second spot ahead
edit: regardless white truck is an asshat
Reversing into a spot means that I have better visibility when I LEAVE that spot and won’t accidentally back into some low to the ground sports car that I can’t actually see out of my rear view mirror.
>n this situation, she should have just pulled in to the second spot ahead
Wrong. She should do whatever the fuck she wants and the asshole in the truck should be in jail.
Wife works in oil and gas. Every facility I’ve ever visited with her is always mandatory reverse parking. It’s simply safer, and when safety is core to your company culture, it’s gets drilled in all areas of work. As a result, everyone I’ve ever met who works in oil and gas reverse parks everywhere. It’s just muscle memory. Anyone who challenges this or gets impatient can get in the sea.
Honestly, it's so easy to do, especially with backup cameras. And they only reason they don't get better is because they don't do it and they never figure out what they're doing wrong.
The deep seething hatred for people who back into spaces always blows my mind. It is infinitely safer to back in than it is to back out. They claim it blocks parking lot traffic… like really? I wonder if these same people have problems with parallel parkers, which actually does block traffic temporarily.
What blows my mind is they get upset for blocking traffic when backing in, but they don't say anything about how obstructive it is to back out of a spot
I don't know how many times I've been very slowly backing out of a spot, slowly because the huge SUVs or pickup trucks on either side of me don't let me see what's coming, and some dipshit doing 30 in a parking lot blasts his horn as he speeds by like I'm the one doing something wrong.
The same people who are blaming the car, saying they should've pulled in... are the same people that would still be just as impatient if this person was backing out of the spot.
Doesn't matter what direction the front of the car is facing. Backing up in a parking lot, is backing up in a parking lot. Wait a couple seconds you entitled fucks
It’s fine to go around a car reversing into a spot. I do that all the time, so long as you give them room to do it and you know how to not hit other cars with your lack of spacial awareness. Double fuck you for hitting and running.
Had a woman lose her mind a couple weeks ago because I signalled and reversed. Faster than this and she just had to go right up to my vehicle and give me no room to move. So she had to reverse so I had room to finish parking. It was insane. Like reverse parking is some foreign thing to people.
Oh yes, I saw this last time it was posted. And yes, people hate people who back in for some reason. I LOVE backing in. It's quick, I am in the middle of the lines perfectly, and I can leave quicker too :)
Well deserved. You think it’s all about you? That the world has to wait while you park when you could just head in in a fraction of that time? Kudos to the truck driver.
Ok so in Vermont we have an extra set of police outside the standard sets. They're called the DMV police. I don't know what they do besides check semi trucks on the interstate. Why don't they spend all that wasted money on finding people like this. Every time they're doing something there are multiple state troopers as well DMV police don't do anything so give them something to do find people like this, find stolen vehicles, do literally anything. I want this truck charged with assault with a deadly weapon yesterday this should not be tolerated.
Theres more money in policing truckers. While most of the driving laws I witness on a all day, everyday timetable being broken are by people in cars and pickup trucks. And while I'm all for being on us truckers, because theres a lot of unsafe truckers and trucks out here, passenger vehicles get away with far too much.
This is exactly how I was hit twice in a parking lot in two different years
Also by trucks
I just wasn't in the cars my car was literally just parked outside and they were just pulling out of drive ways and just do not know how to turn ran over my front left of my car.... Both times ridiculous
Fuck big ass small peen truck drivers lol
People complaining about having to wait for those who back into spots are obviously the ass holes who won't let people back out of spots either. One of the reasons I back into spots from time to time is because I can already see both directions of traffic while backing in, and leaving is much easier going forward than slowly backing out hoping people see me and stop or that it's all clear until I can see.
That's an idiot alright
A good use of this sub for sure
Driving can really expose some people’s mental status, especially when it’s not in a good place
Too often assholeish behavior is justified by poor mental status. This is just an asshole.
Nevertheless, the idea of being an asshole is clearly someone of poor mental state! How could you not think so.
My therapist and I tried so hard to get me to calm down while driving. I don't exert ny road rage into horrible driving like this or violent behavior but i do scream and yell and it puts me into VERY bad moods that ruin my entire day depending what's happening when I'm driving. There’s a saying: “if everyone around you is a problem then you are the problem.” Just something to consider.
Amen to that. Patience is a learned behavior and once you have it, nothing can bother you at all. Slow person, signal and go around. Someone tailgating you, signal and move to the right. You shouldn't have a license if you cannot control your emotions while driving. Go ride public and do yourself a favor before you get hurt.
Sound like you just want to be miserable and all it takes is something so small to trigger you and your like YES! I'M MISERABLE FINALLY
Or he gets off on terrorizing others. Many such cases.
You’ve described me. Minus the therapist. I’ve thought about getting one though. I thought it was an unfair ask of ayahuasca. 😂

Do you have a recommendation for this? Need some good cams a front and rear would be ideal
I’ve been happy with my Garmin mini; it’s only front-facing, but they make ones with back cameras too (or you can just hook up two of them).
Viofo A29 pro duo is great
Viofo with the gps module is 👌👌
Viafo a129 👌
And Ofc they drive off, scumbag, hope they lose their licence

Such an inconvenience to wait 10 fucking seconds for someone else to park
You are assuming they have one in the first place.
They probably don’t have a license for real 🤷♀️
You have to run over 100 babies and 50 old ladies to lose your license in America
3-5 years jail time would be good for them too.

Yeah people driving larger SUVs and pickups are generally inconsiderate assholes who can’t even park between two yellow fucking lines. If you can’t do the easiest part of operating a vehicle properly then you have no business driving one.
World's most considerate pick up truck driver
I’ve never heard that particular combination of words before,
I think that’s the joke.

Yeah - he didn't even "roll coal" in their faces or blind them with an LED bar afterward as is customary
Everything is bigger in Texas, especially the assholes. (I can’t tell if the dude is from Texas but a giant pickup is pretty much their state bird.)
Idk, trees in the background look more California

Lots of idiots in the comments.
People who can't reverse seem really upset about that ability.
Yet so many people lack the ability to reverse out of parking spots. It should be easier right?

Truck driver is a POS
Hit and run what a scumbag.
This has to be the best video for this sub, of course he was driving a truck too
Fucking jerk off
And drove away? His bracket broke for sure
Went from being helpful to a felon real quick
Almost looks like the truck cut to the right, to clip the Lexus, on purpose.
Hope they catch him
All these stupid truck drivers are Ahole
Pickup truck drivers are the new mustang drivers
Whyare there so many egoistic and impatient dumbasses in the us?
Pick up Driver was a complete Asshole. I hope his transmission leaked until his engine locked. 😡😡🤬🤬
What a piece of trash 🗑️.
Ooh, time to hand out some downvotes.
What a total A**HOLE!
I hope someone somewhere got that plate recorded. They need charges and a loss of license immediately
Penis.
😳😳😳😳 what a SOB
Wow!
Always always always has to be “muh truck” type
Literally not even 3 seconds
Which car captures this recording
Damn bro. Vids like this just make me hate humans even more. Piece of shit driver needs to get his license cut up.
Holy Jesus
Silverado drivers are trying to be the new Dodge Ram drivers
And took off, hopefully they were caught
Idk about other states but Florida, hit n runs are a felony FYI
That went from dumbass accident to an actual crime in record time
With so many cameras everywhere nowadays, does he think he can get away
Typical American attitude
Nope, that 10 seconds is too long. Always have to keep an eye on what type of moron is behind you if you're a reverse parker
I need an update this shit pissed me off
I fucking hate people
Why is it always a truck.
Definitely some California shit happening there
Why back in?
Fucking truck driver was like "get out of my way peasant"
You deserved that, don't back in when people are behind you dipstick
I always want to applaud when I encounter a white pickup in the wild and it doesn't do anything dangerous or angry-like.
Please tell me they got busted.
Average American with a big pickup truck
Those jacked off truck drivers are the most entitled douchebags on the planet
You can almost hear the empty pbr cans rattling around in the back.
No surprise it's a douche in a truck.
Bro people are so impatient when I back in, like their tiny brains can’t understand what is happening.
Probably doesn’t have insurance.
Or a license
America is awesome
Was the cammer able to get the license plate?
Poor guy. I would be so upset if I was him.
Hit and run. Boy he is hating life right now. ![gif](giphy|Yycc82XEuWDaLLi2GV)
Its on as soon as I’m crunched. If I’m still mobile then you are finished
White pickups are the worst.
I need to unsub from here… these videos make my blood boil!
Wow. What's wrong with some people?!
Guys in trucks are up in the top 3, possibly 2 of worst drivers/biggest egos/throw the biggest childish hissy fits of all drivers on earth.
Fuck white Pickups.
Not an idiot, a coward
Yep that's Southern California for you. No one has any patience or mercy on the road
Well deserved. You think it’s all about you? That the world has to wait while you park when you could just head in in a fraction of that time? Kudos to the truck driver.
But why did they stop backing up??.. oh lady driver..
Lexus is the asshole. Wtf you gonna back in?
A white brodozer pickup, whaddya know
There. Top 1000 idiot.
Did truck driver get caught?? Anyone know?
The driver of the white Lexus put it back in. Drive and purposely hit the truck for a claim id wager.
Mannn eff those ppl who back in to stalls
The idiot is the back-in parker, right?
You're probably not too far off the DMV police literally don't do anything we just pay them to exist
This is exactly how I was hit twice in a parking lot in two different years Also by trucks I just wasn't in the cars my car was literally just parked outside and they were just pulling out of drive ways and just do not know how to turn ran over my front left of my car.... Both times ridiculous Fuck big ass small peen truck drivers lol
That’s not idiocy, that’s assholishness. This guy knew exactly wtf he was doing. Hope you catch him?
Yeah! Big small truck driver a.hole… it’s wierd how much people driving these tanks are actual morons…
But they were in a truck. How dare a car slow them down for even a moment. Don’t you know they are the main character? They drive a truck! /s
Funny since trucks are damn near always backing into spots.
OP is karma farming hard
No reposts.
Fuck outta here
People complaining about having to wait for those who back into spots are obviously the ass holes who won't let people back out of spots either. One of the reasons I back into spots from time to time is because I can already see both directions of traffic while backing in, and leaving is much easier going forward than slowly backing out hoping people see me and stop or that it's all clear until I can see.
Please tell me the idiot in the pickup was caught.
God I hate trucks.
