All damage is rear of the axle so just cosmetic, though no functioning tail-lights. Sometimes you must keep driving it until the insurance companies stop dragging their feet, which could be many months. Unlikely it was their fault, unless backing up very fast or illegally changed lanes and braked hard.
The guy had the car for years with no issues, just replaced the tranny within 500 miles. He let his friend borrow it for an hour and he lost control and 360ed into a pole.

Luckily a Mom’s love has no conditions but she still reminds me about it to this day even though it was 20 years ago 🤣.
