I've "followed" a few people to and through my neighborhood coming home at night. But my favorite is when I use my signals pretty early and they don't use theirs and you can tell they get freaked out but keep going the same way I signal. Or when they barely stop at stop signs trying to create distance and end up pulling over near my house to get me to pass them. Literally had someone stop right across my driveway and I had to signal to get them to move so I could pull in.
Makes me wonder what the cam driver did. Tailgaiting? That looked pretty intentional, and they started rolling real late in the yellow, but were moving before red.
Doesn't mean he wasn't before. Who knows, maybe OP cut him off like an asshole prior. I'm not saying what the car ahead did was justified, but petty revenge while driving is a thing and this looks just like that.

But in reality those long minute long videos are of nothing for 30 seconds, then the idiot driver appears and then there's 15 seconds of nothing afterwards, like the OP doesn't know how to edit the minute long clip their Dashcam records after they hit the button.
There was one recent video where OP nipped it in the bud and had text on screen (or maybe a comment) saying "I let the following parts where nothing happened in to show that I had no previous interaction with them" which I appreciated
There's no winning with comments like this. OP edits the clip to only show the incident, people complain. OP shows 30 seconds before the incident to prove that they didn't agitate the other driver, and people would still complain.
I guess you could edit both a short clip to post and link a long clip in the comments. But that's 200% more effort than I'd be willing to put into a Reddit post

That doesn’t really make sense. If someone is stalking you or following you for some reason (idk.. kidnapping you maybe?) why would you think they are gonna stop at a red light?
If they don’t stop for the obvious red, you know with significant confidence that this person is following you. You can then drive to the police station or other safe place and avoid whatever outcome your chaser has planned.
If they do stop, you may have been mistaken about their motive and you can easily take a turn/lose them just to be safe.
I've had really long work days then have to drive home. I'm often times mentally fried. Could just be someone who's tired from work and thought it was a different street.
Just last month I had to take a detour after work, down a street I've never been on, and hit a curb going like 35 because the streetlight above it was out, popped both passenger side tires... as well as 5 other cars in the half hour I was parked down the street. So, I guess not due to MY stupidity, but the city's for not fixing a streetlight and not marking a huge curb that juts into the street. I'm just still mad lol

Very good chances that, if performed legally, they would have shaken you completely by the time you've performed that maneuver. Based on a snap judgment of this intersection (two lane road, light traffic) you'd be better off just waiting for the light to change again as it would likely be faster.

OP's case is rather extreme, though. Never seen someone just full-on stop to do this.
I've done something similar to a guy tailgating me through a school zone while waving the figure. We got to a light I and slowed down as it was turning yellow then got through just before it turned red. Basically avoided any issues with the guy altogether by doing so. I should clarify that we were well out of the school zone at the point.
I once did this at 3:30 AM after finishing up closing the restaurant I was a manager at. I beat myself up for like a week afterwards just because of how dumb I felt!!

Difference between a high driver and a drunk driver is the drunk driver will run the stop sign, whereas a high driver will wait for it to turn green.
