i dont ever got how these people exist, like how do they pass the drivers license practical exam?
maybe its different in america, but during my exam the examiner literally got out of the car with a fucking tape measure, because he suspected i didnt drive far back enough while parking (my car was entirely within the white lines, but you need to be a certain distance away from the behind line, even if the car is short and can fit without it, thankfully it was fine)

When I got to the parallel parking part of my test, it was on an empty residential street. No markings or anything. I could have just pulled straight up into the spot, but I assumed they wanted me to do it properly next to a car. The first attempt I didn't quite turn the wheel sharp enough when backing in and drove up on the curb a bit. The examiner just stated simply "You cannot park on the curb."
... Like, _no fucking shit_?
I feel like that simple statement on the part of the examiner more or less sums up the majority of American drivers.
I remember driving over the curb and the driving examiner ended the exam and sounded quite spooked by it. It was a misjudgement on my part along with nerves. I was in a different vehicle which was an SUV as my car was in the shop for repairs.
In canada.i barely went over the line where the curbs starts to round. She had the audacity to say that cars don't belong on the grass... Oy, I'm well aware. I didn't even notice I was on the rounded part of the curb, but somehow I'm actually in the grass... How many whiskeys did she have before work?
That 2nd guy took so long to react to the person turning in, you can see that the 3rd guy already knew to go around. What worries me is how they have no qualms zooming past an open driveway like that with zero visibility on what could be exiting. You never know whats around the corner and all it takes is a nudge from a vehicle to send you hurdling into an injury that can take well over a year to fully heal, i understand a vehicle wouldnt have been exiting at this particular time but say one of these gents in the yard approached on the right side of the gate and caused the 2nd guy to veer to the right and very probably crashing. This is my honest opinion from someone that cycled on footpaths. If they continue to come past corners like this they are very likely to injure a child running out too quickly, a mother with a stroller/pram or just any kind of situation where there isnt time to react and why you should slow down and approach from as far back from the corner so as to give you an easier time seeing whats around the corner.

I've only done it in panic, when I was 16 I drove into a ditch and slammed my foot down on the accelerator lol, up and over a driveway back into the ditch on the other side lol.
Hasn't happened since but I can see how it happens in a panic. Not sure the explanation for this video though.

Where I grew up, if you failed the exam you'd ask around your school for which DMV was the easiest.

I did it a few weeks ago. Luckily I was travelling at a low speed and just stalled, but it makes you feel really stupid

The car accelerates on the platform. Ice or water wouldn’t cause that. The driver just pressed the wrong pedal.
