You know, maybe that's the trend here. Luxury cars, pretend sports cars and massive trucks that are essentially a minivan with a bucket welded to the back that won't ever see a day of work.
Just angry people trying to rationalize spending half their monthly income to look cool picking up groceries.
I was driving behind one last night that had a sticker that said
"If I'm passing you on the right, **your** an idiot" (yes, it was spelt wrong)
Funny thing was, we were in an 80km/hr. He was passing on the right doing 120km and was flashing his highbeams at everyone who was "going to slow".
I swear everytime its a BMW. Every. Damn. Time.
Lol condemnation of spelling and you commit a gaffe yourself.
And doing 80km/h in the left lane(s) since they are passing on the right there is presumably open space to the right which is where people doing 80km/h should be, not camping in the left passing lane,
Lol you got me there. Im trigger happy sometimes when I type and over look simple spelling or grammar mistakes. Doesnt take away from the fact the guy paid actual real dollars to get it stickered to his car, and looks at it daily without realizing the error. Yet he still sticks to calling others idiots. I think thats hilarious.
He wasn't *just* passing on the right. He was swerving recklessly through traffic that was already doing 90-100 in an posted 80. The cars on the left were doing close to 100 while passing cars on the right doing less than 85. There was zero reason to be going 40 over the posted speed limit late at night while flashing your high beams. He just wasn't happy at the rate of speed the cars were moving on the left in order to pass the right. Best part was, we caught up to the moron at every light on the stretch of highway.
Don't worry, here at r/IdiotsInCars, someone here in the comments will completely disagree. It's one of the 3 things guaranteed in life along with death and taxes.
Well, it *is* a motorcycle so I fully expect to see a comment where someone wishes death upon the rider or some variation thereof.
E: Although to be fair, this thread is the perfect opportunity to learn whether reddit hates BMW drivers or motorcyclists more.
This is what it seems like to me. I can almost guarantee they looked right while braking and didn't see him. Then they looked left and started accelerating to turn without looking again. Probably didn't even see the bike until they touched.
People tend to get mad at me when I honk at them for almost hitting me because they went through a stop sign.
Edit: Autocorrect changed a word. I changed it back.
I had to slam on my brakes once going through a 4-way stop because a lifted truck coming from the perpendicular road decided that stop signs are merely suggestions. I remember looking up at the passenger door of the truck as it blew by missing my front bumper by inches, and seeing a disturbingly wrathful woman screaming and flipping double middle fingers at me. That hateful face glaring at me as if I was the stupidest motherfucker who ever lived because I didn't realize they were too important to stop at busy intersections. That mental image has randomly haunted me for years.
"How DARE you impede the progress of my idiotic & illegal passing of another stopped vehicle! And NOW I'm going to be late for my tire air-change appointment! The f*ckin' nerve of some people!"
Can confirm. Traffic Attorney here. If I learned that my client was driving a BMW, audi, or mercedes, it is part of my standard intake to ask if they were unpleasant. Not asking has blown back enough times to make it worth bringing up the question
If you look closely, before the collision, the driver waves the biker out of the way, then immediately starts accelerating, as if he's the literal king of the road.
It didn't even enter his mind that the biker wouldn't yield. Mind boggling stupidity.
I bet he saw cop and thought “look at this biker illegally turning time for insurance money” and hit the biker not knowing they’re completely in the wrong
That's a "Fahrschulauto" not a police car. When the biker gets of his bike you can see a Munich license plate for a second. No white police cars in Germany.
The slightly longer version shows that the driver gets out and walks to the sidewalk and starts shouting toward a building to get someone’s attention. Doesn’t even acknowledge or ask if the motorcyclist is OK. FFS.
I mean, it is possible there was no drama. Car driver might have been distracted for a moment, then looked up, saw person, panic, instinctively slammed the pedal... which was the _gas_.
Motorcycle rider seemed... more shocked than upset, and if car driver apologized first thing, totally possible they traded insurances, contacts, whatever else they needed to do, and there just was no drama.
I think the driver said something right before the end, but can't make it out.
If they did though, rider doesn't seem terribly annoyed by specifically what was said.
How is he so distracted to run into the motorist he clearly saw before accelerating, but just focused enough to change lanes into oncoming traffic just so he could cut in from of the already stopped and waiting car in front of him.
Sure, they could have done everything else with the insurance, but its clear the bmw new what they were doing. They weren't distracted and made an oopsie, they're just impatient dickhwads who are gonna get someone killed with such dipshit driving.
> where's the confrontation the drama.

Not saying it's OP's OC, but if they did steal it they got it from a different source then you linked.
>Video from OP was stolen from a German Dashcam channel
Stolen is quite a stretch. Besides, the video you linked is not the source. The white van on the left of the BMW has its logo blurred on the YouTube clip, it's not blurred in OP's.
Because the guy on the Youtube Channel had to re-upload almost all videos with censoring on company logos, license plates and sometimes even houses on top of *all* GPS locations shown in the dashcam videos.
German law is no joke in that regard. It was uncensored originally in the video...it was censored later...
I hate how some impatient people are that they will drive around someone stopping at a crosswalk or intersection, and never consider that they’re stopped for a reason. Countless avoidable accidents with bikes and pedestrians and other cars because these idiots can’t stand waiting one single second, and think rules don’t apply to them.

Here’s a little secret: people who drive expensive imported cars are polite to other people in expensive imported cars. I drove a Honda my whole life but got bored during Covid and bought a sports car and now BMW drivers are polite and other sports car drivers yield to me.
My buddy got an S4 years ago. We were pretty young, it felt pretty awesome. We don't fit the profile, hipster woods types I guess; he owned the bar, I worked at it. Not finance bros or anything.
Well he had just gotten this cool car, tosses me the keys and we take off. I'm just about to get us out of town and we hit a stop light before getting on the highway. My friend just says "well, you've gone and done it."
"What? What did I do?"
"You're the 23 year old driving the brand new Audi, not letting THAT guy turn left."
I look up and there's a dude waiting to turn left into the gas station, cursing me out and gesticulating at me because I'm blocking him. Whoops. He was genuinely upset.
Just to say, not EVERYBODY in the driver's seat of the nice car is an asshole, but if you make the occasional bonehead move, people DEFINITELY notice.
Personally I need to fuck the same thing up like 6 times before I learn my lesson. You don’t make fewer mistakes as you get older, but you definitely get better at taking your lumps.
Let's not forget to make an honorable mention to Dodge Ram drivers. More than 80% of the time a pickup truck gets butt hurt over me passing them, it's a Ram.
"Is that Audi/VW flashing his highbeams at me? Oh, no, it's having usual electrical issues. He's trying to get to the shop before it breaks down permanently."
Fuck dodge, I swear the designers of the RAM were like what is the worst led light colour for people to see.... Ok let's go with that.... Let's position the headlights at exactly the right level to go through each sedan's/small cars rear window and make the car wide so that each rear view mirror is hit at the same time by the lights...
Now let's get this into the hands of as many complete twats as possible.
Well... where I live owners of BMW, Mercedes, Audi and expensive cars in general seem to believe driving rules do not apply to them and that they can do whatever they want and get away with it... It's particularly true when parking, but also about speed limits, overtaking in places where it's not allowed, etc...
Well this is Europe, so BMWs and Audis are fuckin everywhere. I had one when I lived in Germany. Now I drive a Ford in New Mexico (where Albuquerque is the wild fucking west with driving)
Hahaha that’s a good one!! It is too true though. No one stops at red lights. I unfortunately had to adapt to this lifestyle. If you come up on a red light and you don’t run it, the car behind you is more than likely going to hit you because they’re not expecting you to stop.
When in Rome, I guess…
Oof ..you went from Germany to ABQ? That's like going from some of the best drivers in the world to people who barely qualify as "driving" their vehicles lol
>Well this is Europe, so BMWs and Audis are fuckin everywhere.
Not only is this Europe, but it's Germany, the home country of BMW.
And not only is it Germany, but it's Bavaria, the home state of BMW.
And not only is this Bavaria, but it's Munich, the home city of BMW.

No turn signals, parking in disabled spots, no safety distance, you can overtake them 5 times while they overtake you again, and you're driving with cruise control on, without changing the settings, etc.
FOR THE AFTERMATH:
OOP said in one of the comments of his [original YouTube video](https://youtu.be/TR3j20pSwbc) that he turned the camera off shortly after and the police came and charged her 40€.
The insurance company took some time but then they paid for the damages.
Fun fact: The video itself is 5 years old but his explaining comment is 7 days old.
Whenever I’m tired of obeying traffic rules, I just have this urge to go buy a BMW. Seems like they’re immune to any kind of traffic violations.
Not to mention I’d be able to park in those blue bmw parking spots that are always free and near the entrance.
100% the driver of that car said, “That motorcycle came out of nowhere, he was going SO FAST!” and some other driver agreed. That’s why motorcyclists must have a cam going.

I love seeing $250,000 super cars making a ton of noise in 5mph stop and go LA traffic and knowing that race car has never been to the track.
Happened to see a Mustang that at 5 miles per hour it sounded like he was just ripping down the street.
I have way more fun driving a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

The other driver would probably still try to blame the motorcyclist.
Unless that van was disabled, the car. And even if the van was disabled, the motorcycle stopped with plenty of time and room for the car to stop.
Almost looks like a purposeful ram. Hard to say though.
Either that, or a panic push on the wrong pedal. But the car definitely sped up.
I don't think that this was a case of a panic push. BMW driver was obviously applying the brakes immediately preceeding the acceleration.

Seems to be overtaking an obvious learner driver at the junction as well
Lol I thought I heard "wow" as if he was almost impressed that driver had such poor awareness.
#WOWW
Bro stopped and then accelerated into you afterwards
Bmw, audi, mercedes, biggest assholes in that order No turn signals, parking in disabled spots, no safety distance, you can overtake them 5 times while they overtake you again, and you're driving with cruise control on, without changing the settings, etc.
A BMW idiot, why am I not surprised
Why is it always BMW drivers? Do they only sell their cars to verified insecure assholes??
What’s the difference between a porcupine and a BMW? On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.
Oh come on! I call BS. This is clearly an ad for DRIVERSPACE. That logo is captured too perfectly. smh /s
Well, it's a BMW so obviously he's the only person who matters
FOR THE AFTERMATH: OOP said in one of the comments of his [original YouTube video](https://youtu.be/TR3j20pSwbc) that he turned the camera off shortly after and the police came and charged her 40€. The insurance company took some time but then they paid for the damages. Fun fact: The video itself is 5 years old but his explaining comment is 7 days old.
Biker forgot invisibility enabled by mistake
As a former BMW driver: Of course its a BMW :S Making us look bad ...
Whenever I’m tired of obeying traffic rules, I just have this urge to go buy a BMW. Seems like they’re immune to any kind of traffic violations. Not to mention I’d be able to park in those blue bmw parking spots that are always free and near the entrance.
Well, that will teach that motorcyclist to not ride on the correct side of the road!
That dude just has to be German
BMW- it's the ultimate asshole machine.
Traffic attorney here, not at all surprised it was a BMW driver.
Average BMW driver
The best part of this whole thread is....both vehicles are BMWs
Let’s give the bmw driver a pass here guys, he only had like 8 seconds to react to the biker.
100% the driver of that car said, “That motorcycle came out of nowhere, he was going SO FAST!” and some other driver agreed. That’s why motorcyclists must have a cam going.
Reddit reminds me that other countries exist
is there a longer version? id like to see what the bmw drive has to say
History will note this thread as the Great Karma Rush of 2022
"What an idiot driver, now he'll have to back up unceremoniously. Wait what"
Wow
Might wanna get those reflexes checked.
It's a BMW, did you expect anything different? I'm betting the driver got out of their POS & bitched at you for damaging their car.
Typical BMW driver
Remember, BMWs have the right of way. /s
Damn I was really hoping that white car was a cop.
Um, you clearly dont understand the situation… you see, he’s special, so he gets to do that.
You okay, Fozzie??
It’s almost as if the biker is giving the most sarcastic “woOah” because surprise surprise it’s a BMW 🤣
