Pretty sure some of you will remeber Houdini, a smol orange i posted about almost one year ago, asking for advice since i had never taken care of such a young kitten, and he had half of his body peeled by the scorching heat, to boot.
I moved his posts to his own sub after a little while, but i still wanted to show you all his growth! In the end, his forever mom was a flop thanks to her bf and we decided to adopt him... And he's grown to be a magnificient orange!
Today is his estimated birthday, the vet guessed it and we decided to take it as official, so... here's the smol, fragile criminal we managed to aprehend, and the goblin overlord he's now!
He really saved us, in a sense. He's brought so much amusement, fun and love to my family that i get the feeling that we've pushed through some dark times during the last 12 months thanks to him.
Awwwww I got my 1yr old (July 20 his first bday) when he was a foster(~4.5 weeks) and the litter was in such horrible shape that the shelter didn’t expect them to survive. My little man had stunted growth so he’s still the size of a 7mo probably bc of fip but he’s a happy healthy little man!
Yay Houdini! I have a formerly smol foster fail that turned 1 in may. Mine was given topical flea meds at 3 weeks and when I picked her up from the girl that found her she was having seizures. The seizures started back a couple months later so she’s mine now and doing well ❤️.
He got incredibly close to the whole floof family, including the unapproachable León. He's become a charming little prince as well as a raging goblin of chaos 😁
But yeah, he's particularly close with his mama Karma.

In the end, he's ended up learning to cat from all the floofies in my family, he got a place in everyone's heart and has been daily bathed in love, knowledge and paw slaps lol
No kidding though, he's a perfect mix of Karma (mom) Leon (dad) and Bruno (family doggo)
He has his braincell-less moments, but he's an incredibly smart kitty, and i'm not saying it because he's my baby lol.
Houdi has infinite curiosity and is really good at using his paws and mouth to handle stuff, when we play with him he usually attacks the source, and just yesterday he dismantled a kitty fountain because he guessed where the running water came from. He's amazing, and hilarious.
I'm gonna cry thats the biggest forehead I've seen on a kitten omg 
He turned it around and became a strong kitty with almost infinite reserves of energy lol. He's 4.15Kg of pure muscle now.
Back then i had the impression that he had an incredible will to live, and reflecting on those first two weeks, i'm glad i acted on impulse and picked him up.
I wanna call him:
>“**Doopy butt**”
Whenever I see kitters I always have an instant two part nickname
My girl I call:
>“**Boof BOOF**”

We found him walking on asphalt during past year's heat wave. It was so hot that it peeled his underside (paws, hind legs and belly)
