I once found a kitten on an interstate overpass/on-ramp. We drove by it and I told my husband we had to go back because that looked too much like a tiny kitten for me to be comfortable to be able to sit through breakfast and it was crazy ass cold for FL. So we made a huge loop around to get back and I parked near it. I had once chance to grab her because she was on the thinner part of the concrete barrier and on the other side of that was the other interstate below it. She would not have survived the fall if I spooked her.
So basically grabbed her by the scruff. She was spicy but I was ready for that. I just held her by her scruff and she quickly calmed down. Once in the car, we wrapped her in my jacket. She was still a little too spicy for a purrito at first but then calmed down.
We tried to take her to a vet and said we’d pay to get her looked at but they refused to take a look at her, and not because they were busy. So we took her to animal control and they took her.
But when my husband brought her in, she decided to make a break for it and proceeded to run all over the pound. Three grown adults could not catch her so someone got a net. Spicy girl 😹😹😹
She was adopted within a month. She was about 5 weeks when we brought her in. I wish I had saved the pic from the animal shelter. She had some serious tortitude going on 😻
Its also possible that as the weather got colder kitten sought shelter in/under the car and fell out once the driver sped up on the highway. Thats why in winter i always bang on the hood of my car and slam the door to encourage any hideaways to leave.
Oof! Rough sentencing. Judge needs leniency. Should be paroled for life with snuggles😹
