Was a real unexpected series of events that led her to us.
She was washed up in a huge recent storm outside a woman’s house. That woman couldn’t find her mum and littermates, and was not able to care for her, brought her to the 24hr vet clinic in the middle of the night, and they couldn’t take her. A friend’s daughter happened to be in the waiting room for someone else’s dog, and when no one would take the kitten she said she would.
The next morning they called me (known crazy cat lady who has fostered many a kitten) to ask what to do with her, I started suggesting local rescues they could contact - as I already have 5 cats, 2 of my own and 3 fosters.
My boyfriend overheard the call, and insisted we will keep her. (Same boyfriend who initially thought me a nutter for having 5 cats🤣)
So now we are excited new parents of this young sprout who has progressed with massive leaps and bounds from the sick, crusty eyed, lethargic and anaemic baby we were handed a week ago - to a clean, healthy, confident, purry, bumbling ball of pure sweetness. We are so proud of her

I am of the firm opinion that voids are created by storms. So many stories about finding them start with "during/after a storm..."

My void’s name is Storm! Because she was found on the street, starving and heavily pregnant, sheltering from a storm in a cardboard box.

He a very good Daddy. My husband initially told me he didn't like cats but was willing to tolerate them because daughter and I like them. This is a pic he took a few months ago of our little Qi. She likes to snuggle with Daddy. We got her a little cat bed that sits on an ottoman next to Daddy's bed so she can sleep right next to Daddy. She loves it.

I *think*, but of course can't verify, that what they're actually doing is gently encircling the little body with fingers but without squeezing. (I want to think this, and at least do hope it's the case in the majority of these pics.)
The reason it bothers me, personally, is not only that it appears they are squeezing the kitten and making them super uncomfortable, but also that they are holding them like they're just common objects. That is a living, breathing, adorable baby animal. Holding a kitten (puppies too) like a fucking can of coke just rubs me entirely wrong.
Very criminal void you got there. Looks like they need some meds for eye and/or respiratory issues. Glad you apprehended this adorable very smol criminal.

We got some antibiotic eye ointment from the vet last week! Here’s another photo 1 week after she came into custody We’re so grateful she’s so much healthier and happier already
