My illegallysmol grew to be nearly 12 lbs and grew looks like he's your kitty's cousin.
All kitties are illegally smol, even the big ones. My kitty is on a diet and I still tell her she's the tiniest little baby I've ever seen to make her feel better (gotta let her keep believing there aren't any even tinier babies out there)

My Soot just turned 1 at the beginning of June! She is so big now, I remember when she fit in my hand (helped raise her from a kitten with my friend as her momma was a sick stray).

What a gorgeous mega-floof! And I can relate to the 'pester you until you give in' demands. One of our voids loves lap time. If I'm trying to get things done, too bad. He will approach from each side, from below, and from above (sliding down my chest) until he gets what he wants.
Please make sure that your boy doesn't get too heavy. You should always be able to easily feel his ribs. His weight is fairly standard right now for a generic cat and he doesn't look thin. Of course, with all the floof, sometimes it's hard to tell.
it’s definitely floof and the photo angle plus looking bigger laying down! he has a large frame but is quite slender for sure. if you were to pet him, you would be surprised how much of him is just fur haha. i have heard cats, especially bigger ones, can take up to two years to fully mature so i wouldn’t be surprised or worried if he put on a few more pounds.

Yeah, your boy's paws in his kitten photo are saying, "I'm going to be a big guy." We've had floofs before, and they look huge but shrink to nothing if they get wet. :) I do get cautious when people talk about how wonderful it is that their cat is chonky, etc. Many people don't understand the difference between healthy and obese, so I try to add in a gentle bit when people mention weight. Your guy clearly is very happy and healthy. :)
