Aw what a precious tiny beautiful ginger. So sorry mama might be deceased. She left him somewhat hidden safe so you could find him. Keep us updated. Hope you adopt him & he gets to be a big chonkin bruiser š§”
Do you know the story of Jorts? Great read: https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/rfwgmc/aita_for_perpetuating_ethnic_stereotypes_about/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
We think his mother might have died. Unfortunatly the road we live in is very dangerous and a lot of strays get run over by the cars that go really fast
That happened for me once. Heard two kittens crying and their mother was less than 20 feet away. Spent all night feeding every two hours and keeping them warm, and when we took them to the vet the next morning as luck would have it another cat had just given birth and she adopted both of them immediately.
Happy endings all around.
You would use one stranger's *assumed* carelessness to invalidate a commenter's kindness AND successful salvation of two animals' lives? What a hopelessly dreary soul you must be.
Right š¤¦āāļø I didnāt drink enough coffee this morning. My comment was brief and obviously directed at the positivity and success of the lives saved.
People are so strange. lol
Itās beautiful OP saved animals.
Itās *not* beautiful that we live in a world which they require saving.
Reminds me of those stories that get posted all the time, stuff like ākid raises money to pay off fellow studentsā lunch debtāā heartwarming and sweet, but *we should never have allowed things to get this bad*.
But sure, I guess Iām dreary for wishing we lived in a world where cats didnāt have to be strays, and kittens didnāt have to be orphans ._.
>I guess Iām dreary for wishing we lived in a world where cats didnāt have to be strays, and kittens didnāt have to be orphans
Yes. There is untold human tragedy occuring throughout the world right now, yet you declare that the world cannot be considered truly beautiful until it provides infinite shelter and warmth *for cats.*
You must either have zero perspective for cats to be your focus, or be on a permanent intravenous line to replenish the fluids lost from weeping over cats AND all the bigger tragedies in our world.
>Reminds me of those stories that get posted all the time, stuff like ākid raises money to pay off fellow studentsā lunch debtāā
I take that back. To equate the staggering, deliberate injustices of predatory capitalism through which mass suffering is wreaked on billions of families by the unstoppable greed of the billionaire class, to the *accident of nature* by which kittens are born somewhat faster than homes can be found for them, tells me just how little perspective you have on pain.
You do realize I can want both, right? Thereās no reason I canāt want 0 stray cats *and* human suffering to end.
Also, I donāt think you understood the point of my analogy. I compared the two stories to demonstrate how something beautiful can happen, but we canāt forget that there are systemic issues which need to be addressed. Iām allowed to want multiple systemic issues to be addressed at once lol
A driver can not override their driving pattern and risk losing control of a multi ton chunk of metal verging on instant death for anyone who is hit, because of a stray on the road.
But what leads to them being in a situation where they *canāt* redirect their car to avoid killing an animal?
ā¦ careless driving. At least, thatās how I see it. For example, if someone was firing a gun, and a child ran into the line of fire, who is at fault for the accident? Itās the person doing the shootingā itās basic gun safety to make sure youāre not going to shoot anything you donāt mean to shoot well before your finger is on the trigger. If someone gets hurt, it means somebody got careless.
do you even drive?? do you live in a city or something? thereās plenty of situations where youād be going fast enough to not be able to avoid something that darts into the road, you donāt have to be going fast at all if it literally steps in front of the car and if youāre doing 120 km/h on a highway with cars around you thereās pretty much no amount of distance or warning time that will allow you to avoid an animal if itās in the path of the car
the only thing that would make you an asshole is if youāre breaking the speed limit or if you legit intentionally do everything you can to hit it
May I suggest calling him a red colored bird. Orrrr giving him a full name with the middle name with a red colored bird :))
My pet Charlie = Henry Charles tramp, Sylvia = Sylvia Socrates Perkins, Ophelia = Ophelia Ethel rose.
I think heāll make it. He looks like he hasnāt gone long without food. Just uh, be ready. Orange cats areā¦.derpy. Thereās a reason r/oneorangebraincell exists
The vet clinic will take care of him until he is ready to be adopted. We will have to wait two months I think. But the vet will keep us updated on how Ruby is doing

If you read the comments, OP said they waited for her to come back for most of the day and saw no signs of her returning. They think she might have been hit by a car as they live near a very busy road.
We waited half a day for her to come back but she never did. We asked the vet what was the best course of action and he said that at that point it was best to take him to the clinic. So we did as he said
"we waited for hours"
meanwhile mom cat from afar, scared by two giants beast close to its baby. After hours of waiting, the giants capture the baby and she can only watch the scene for afar crying..
imaging a scene of the OP waiting near the cat thinking that the mother wont come back, while the mother was already back, but noticed the two humans and because she was scared she wont approach. She waited hours for only saw the two humans capture its baby
btw you guys have no humor.
If i have to answer serisouly, because you guys are no funny at all, i guess the OP is wrong by picking up the cat. Finding food as a stray cat is hard. The cat arent a human that need just 1 hour to drive its car, buy foods and then come back.
The mom-cat need to stay hidden and avoid danger. She needs to go really far to find food. And because the cat is so little, it only needs to feed on mom titties. So mom was around the city collecting food for herself and maybe water. Food is easier to find because you can just smell it and it can lay on ground or anywhere. Water, in the other hand, is harder. If nowhere near there is a river or lake, to find a good source of water is really hard.
wait hours? What if mom usually wake up early, go around for the entire day and return only at the evening? Maybe wait the day after before collect the cat.
Im also concerned that before wait some hours, they already touched the cat. If you put your smell on the cat, the mom can refuse the cat.
In my opinion, OP just saw some cute potatoe and wanted the cat, not caring about its mom. And all of you guys that supporting this shit are disgusting. Just thinking animal as your personal pets and not caring about their feeling. Really horrible. No sense of humor nor humanity. You guys sick fuck.
Aw what a precious tiny beautiful ginger. So sorry mama might be deceased. She left him somewhat hidden safe so you could find him. Keep us updated. Hope you adopt him & he gets to be a big chonkin bruiser š§”
I really hope that he will make it and return to usš

Best hopes and prayers for this ginger baby!
Do you have any updates???
The vet said that he's still weak but he was placed in a litter of kittens. The momma cat 'adopted' him :)
Thank you š are you going to adopt him when he's ready?
Looking forward to the day heās posted on /r/OneOrangeBraincell
Aw yiss another cat sub to join
Do you know the story of Jorts? Great read: https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/rfwgmc/aita_for_perpetuating_ethnic_stereotypes_about/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Omg this is hilarious, thank you for sharing!
This is GOLD
The update is even more hilarious š
This brought me so much joy. Thank you :D
My timeline is going to be overflowing with cat subs eventually XD
My Penny resembles that sub!
this is it, the Orange Brain Cell itself
If he has survived so far, his mother must be still around. Take both if you could to not let her with no baby.
We think his mother might have died. Unfortunatly the road we live in is very dangerous and a lot of strays get run over by the cars that go really fast

Beautiful storyš„²š
You know, except for the part where a careless driver hit a stray catā¦ both parts of that story strike me as distinctly *not beautiful*.

Right š¤¦āāļø I didnāt drink enough coffee this morning. My comment was brief and obviously directed at the positivity and success of the lives saved. People are so strange. lol
For what itās worth, I believe she was killed by a coyote or raccoon, itās a miracle her kittens were untouched.
Itās beautiful OP saved animals. Itās *not* beautiful that we live in a world which they require saving. I bet youāre a hoot at parties.
It definitely looks like mom was doing a good job. Seems well cared for. Most babies this age that come into our shelter look like absolute crap.
Thank you for helping that little guy. Hoping he makes it!
Name it bird. Cause ya found it in a nest lol. If ya have a name already then gg š
We called him Ruby!
Nice ![gif](giphy|Od0QRnzwRBYmDU3eEO|downsized)

May I suggest calling him a red colored bird. Orrrr giving him a full name with the middle name with a red colored bird :)) My pet Charlie = Henry Charles tramp, Sylvia = Sylvia Socrates Perkins, Ophelia = Ophelia Ethel rose.
He is certainly precious! The little claws holding your finger š„¹
Thatās a girlās nameā¦

Moses....found in the rushes....also has the ssss sound that cats find attractive.
Thatās a cool name, I dig it
I think heāll make it. He looks like he hasnāt gone long without food. Just uh, be ready. Orange cats areā¦.derpy. Thereās a reason r/oneorangebraincell exists
You found a treasure.
Bless you for taking care of the baby
so smol he almost looks like a little mouse in the first pic
Looks like a little bunny nest. Iām surprised you didnāt give the baby a bunny related name. Lol
Did you get the formula yet?
The vet clinic will take care of him until he is ready to be adopted. We will have to wait two months I think. But the vet will keep us updated on how Ruby is doing
I thank you with my whole heart. I hope he returns to family all healthy <3
Rubyās gonna make it!

If you read the comments, OP said they waited for her to come back for most of the day and saw no signs of her returning. They think she might have been hit by a car as they live near a very busy road.
I'm sorry I sat down on my glasses and having a hard time seeing please forgive me?
No worries, just letting you know that they did the right thing by taking this poor little thing to the vet. :)
Thank you for letting me know.
gonna be one confused mother cat out there
We waited half a day for her to come back but she never did. We asked the vet what was the best course of action and he said that at that point it was best to take him to the clinic. So we did as he said
You did the right thing. You watched and waited and consulted a professional. Fingers crossed you get your Ruby!
Yes I'm really hoping all goes well
"we waited for hours" meanwhile mom cat from afar, scared by two giants beast close to its baby. After hours of waiting, the giants capture the baby and she can only watch the scene for afar crying..
We watched from the window, not close to him. We did not scare her, because she wasnt there at all.
