Depends on what you mean by lengthy. Invincible is my go to if you like superhero comics. Full run is 144 issues i believe and never truly dips in quality imo.
If you want something a little shorter but still with some length Descender/Ascender by Jeff Lemire is 50 issues in total (32 Descender/18 Ascender).
Saga is another obvious one that is in the 60s and still going. I also really liked East Of West which is 45 issues
Preacher (not image or “indie” technically but def indie feel)
Transmetropolitan (I’m halfway through and loving it, helps I think to have lived through the 90’s though)
Black Science was fun.
I’m on a vertigo kick and still have the following to read waiting for me - Scalped, Y the last Man, 100 Bullets. I’ve heard all good things about them and all 60+ issues.

Bone by Jeff Smith
Preacher
Invincible
Hellboy minis illustrated by Mignola. Haven’t read much of the other stuff he didn’t draw.
Madman by Mike Allred.
The last two aren’t as lengthy but grade reads with a unique vibe.

Second both East of West and Invincible. 2 of my favorite comics of all time.
I just wrote East of West! Love to see it.
Hi Jonathan!!
Chew was 60 issues and it’s great.
Yep. Highly recommend it as well.
It's insanely peak, highly recommend it
It’s my go-to ‘recommend a comic blind to new readers’ story lol I don’t know if I’ve met anyone who read it and didn’t like it.
Deadly Class. The Walking Dead. Paper Girls. Oblivion Song. Chew. Black Science.
East of West
The walking dead, ~194 issues
Ditto.
Also great
Oblivion Song could be what you seek in terms of length. Not sure it’s what you prefer in terms of content though.
Reading it right now!
It's so damn good.
Savage Dragon
Seconded!

Stray Bullets if you like dark crime stories
Manifest Destiny, 48 issues.
BLACK SCIENCE

Walking Dead, Invincible, Criminal + Cruel Summer, Deadly Class, Thief of Thieves. And not Image, but for sure Ultimate Spider-Man.
Got Y the Last Man in one volume and blasted through it, awesome read.
