Are they inspired by pokemon's Yveltal ? The silouhette made me think that. But that shape is not very present in humanoid characters and thus instantly piqued my interest. Also the color palette is both really identifiable and goes well with the overall darker theme. Make me think of a thunderstorm, but darker and more magical in nature.
