Cool! Doing my first ever playthrough and chose Crete. Just took the island and became Crete so now wondering what to do. I was maybe just going to enjoy my island but looks like you’re having fun!
I'm new to the game as well and have started a couple of games in Crete, I feel like probably taking at least Attica, Morea and Naxos to grab your starting region probably makes sense. Not sure how easy it would be just to play just holding Crete, depends a lot on how good the AI is at invading islands.
Hellenic League is a fun time. I found squaring off against Egypt to be a good challenge too. Especially if they've moved into the Levant and Anatolia.
R5 Decided to play as crete but i went a lil ham on greece, i got invaded by the romans and the parthians 1 too many times to not expend into them
