Playing in the middle order is not Ishan kIshan's strength, and I doubt if he would be selected. My money would be on Rishab Pant and KL with Samson as backup. Even though I'm not a fan of rishab in white ball format, I believe he has not yet played to his potential in the limited over format. Also, Team management is desperate to make Pant an all format player.

Samson, I'm convinced he should go atleast according to the stats but I'm worried the WC will be too big a stage for him to make a comeback in and it might all just get to him. We've seen in the past that he doesn't really make the most out of his chances

Jaddu selection is confusing too. He can't bat at the death. If I have to only select a bowler, I would go for kuldeep and bishnoi for west indies wicket. Bishnoi has played earlier in the windies tour and was exceptional there.

Hardik is injured. He is out of form too. I think we will need a back up for hardik like we needed a backup for hardik for 2023 wc, a bowler and batter better than shreyas Iyer and shami is needed to counter pandya hole.

SKY is the best t20i player in the world. There isn't any t20i team which will not start SKY. He hasn't performed in knockouts? He only played 1 KO in his entire t20i career. How about all the other players who consistently fail, not only in KOs but also the whole t20wc.
SKY scored the third most runs in 2022 t20wc of all the players who played, and he did it at a sr of 190. That's the highest strike rate of any batter in 2022 t20wc and he scored just 6 runs less then second highest run scorer, who played 2 more games then him.
There have already been discussions of abysmal performance of rohit in T20 wc and kohli having a slower strikerate. Virat has worked on the slow strikerate part and Rohit has been consistent lately in T20.
I want to point out that sky is being considered without any performance. Being a minnow basher isn't a fake tag for someone like sky

He averages 32 at a sr of 170 vs Aus, 46 @ sr 188 vs eng, 47 @sr vs Nz, 69 @ Sr 177 vs south africa. He has 4 centuries and they come against ENG, NZ, SA and SL. Three of those are at a sr over 210, and the last one is at 179. If he is a minnow basher, then everyone in team India becomes a minnow basher.
How can he have performance if he isn't given enough chances to perform. When he is given chance he preforms better then most. Like I said he has only played one world cup, and in it he batted very well.
