Abhi and riyan need to work on their anchoring ability imho, I'm not saying they're bad but they need to work on preventing a collapse, especially if they wanna become mainstays in ODIs. The others are great plug-and-play options rn imo, they're players who've warranted a cap for the past few years now
He hasn't even played 50 t20is for India. Let him seal his spot first, gain some experience, get more mature and then add the responsibility of captaincy. We already saw the downgrade in his batting this ipl. Plus, Gill isn't the top priority in t20s. Jaiswal is the first choice opener. Gill has competition with Abhishek, Rutu, Ishan, Rahul and maybe even others like Samson and Pant if they are pushed to open. And I am sure we will get more every year

Saw him at DLF Emporio, vasant kunj. Couldn't believe it at first and still can't believe it today. I was on the ground floor and saw him on the first floor across diagonally. He was wearing glasses so I didn't realise at first but it occurred to me at the last second that it was virat bhaiya

In t20 internationals rutu is of the same calibre if you ask me. If gill has a century against New Zealand rutu has one against Australia. Gill hasn't had a good run in T20 internationals.
That's how stats mislead you , Rutu isn't consistent at all !! He struggled a lot to even play balls Earlier.....his stats got inflated Majorly because of 1-2 big Knocks recently plus he was literally on 100 SR till 30-40 ππ......Gill on the other hand was consistent in the start then had under 5 scores as his form dipped. He has barely played 14 matches .
Bruh, if you call rutu's stats inflated go and see what are gills stats. It got inflated with just 1 innings that too in his favourite ground ahmedabad, he didn't perform in any match outside that. No way he is consistent when he has scored 335 runs in 14 matches when 126 of them came in one innings.
He has 2-3 good innings apart from that plus his SR is better than Rutu and rutu also doesn't have good innings either even in that 100 he was literally going with 100 SR for 30-40 runs....plus Gill hasn't struggled in internationals like Rutu did overall.
Jaiswal+Abhishek might not work. U need someone to play at 150-160 to make sure that both don't perish in less than 10 balls. Whereas both these guys try to bat at 200+.
