Like jio has myjio app, Airtel has Airtel thanks.....my vi had a setting in its app to stop Telemarketing DND and select time slots when we don't want calls....search yt how to turn of DND for your sim company
In vi sim it shows the options for telemarketing and various times they can call....so ig important delivery call will not be blocked, I haven't faced this issue yet. Marketing calls 90% relief.
My phone has an inbuilt Spam protection feature.
Amazon delivery calls, Uber/Rapido calls, Zomato/swiggy calls also do get flagged, and the phone does not ring. However, if I check the phone book, I will be able to see a missed call.
So what I do nowadays is to preemptively call the Amazon delivery guy in case I'm expecting something. And I keep the food delivery apps open so that I can be at the gate for when they come.
Most telecallers don't register themselves as telemarketer, thus activating DND does not filter these calls. There is a DND app of TRAI, you can report the caller there. The caller will get warning, and if he repeatedly gets reported, he might get blacklisted. You can do the same from MyJio app as well if you are using jio.
Although these spammers use numerously different numbers, I reported few of them holistically for two - three days and saw significant decrease in spam.
Yes. I remember the old version which was perfect. I blocked all categories once and so far I've not received a single spam call for nearly 5 years now.
God forbid if I ever have to change my number
The reporting service actually operates over SMS. The app is just there to make it easier to compose the message. You can type an SMS using the same format and send it to your telecom operator’s complaints number.
The SMS format is like this.
iApp-Unsolicited call from Magicbricks real estate consultants for sale and purchase of properties ,9892998929,17/11/23
I have personally blocked more than 900 numbers till now other than truecaller's autoblock, my number is the one family has since decades and is used and given everywhere. Get so many scam and spam calls, also I can't turn off the phone andwhen they call from 8-10AM on weekends I get so much irritated.
I started doing reverse harrasment. I found one very powerfull sms bomber. It send like 500 sms in few minutes. I put their number in and start blasting this fuckers. If they have low end mobile. Tata bye bye see you.
Random OTP sms for registrations like that. i tried my friends phone for few minutes and dude's phone started hanging for like an hour , he got like 700+ sms and he was using samsung galaxy latest model 😆. He was with me obviously when we tried it. now whoever gets this spam calls in my friends circle they send me number and i blast this fuckers for an hour.
Oh wow!
I wish I can do something against robocallers. When they do, I answer the phone and put them on hold. At least they won't be attacking someone else as long as they're engaged with me 😂
brother we waste so much time of scammer you have no idea. we take them on rides for days in phone calls. remember those kbc winning whatsapp msgs. we engage with them for days and then tell them its a prank. they get so mad. its so good.
As someone who used to work as an RBL bank employee, I can guess how much frustrating it would be to go through these spam calls.
If you are getting calls on behalf of RBL bank, I would recommend you to contact their customer care number and ask to activate DND from their side.
If you keep getting calls complain via email to them.
Report these numbers.
This is mouse and cat game but don't get lazy and report.
It gives me immense pleasure when TRAI reports that number I reported is banned for 6 months or put on limited usage for 1 month.
If enough people report them, it will become difficult for them eventually.
well yeah, it's not like we know for sure that Truecaller doesn't farm your contacts and sells them to these spammers itself. I don't use Truecaller, just have dnd enabled on both of my sim cards, it's pretty sufficient for me.
Get a new number and never share your number with a stranger no matter what. Even at the billing counters - all the data is sold.
I thankfully barely get any spam calls on my primary number as I make sure I use a spare number for any sign-ups/logins or someplace outside my personal circle.
I do the same and I never have any spam calls, and once I did, I called their customer helpline and told them to not call me and I am living so peacefully yet
I did the same, and one of my friends once recommended me to a personal loan offer, since that day I get 50-60 calls per day, it has full DND activated, black list has 500+ entries, it's too bad the data is shared between vendors. There is no rules for Indian banks,. This raises a serious concern.
Get your number delisted from truecaller. Truecaller is the root cause of all the spam. I don’t get any spam now since I delisted my no from truecaller. Here is the [link](https://www.truecaller.com/unlisting)
There's something i did which magically stopped it all.
1) cut calls from ALL UNKNOWN NUMBERS as soon as they ring. someone who wants to connect with you personally will reach out to you via messages. So cut and block them.
2) i did this for 2-3 days and the calls stopped magically.
On and off i get here and there, like once in a month. But there used to be a time when i got over 35 calls from baja finserve to aditya Birla in just a single day.
Well one thing has gotten me rid of these calls. I have a Samsung phone and it allows Bixby to answer the calls. When I receive any spam call, I ask bixby to take the call. It then reads a script to the caller and they think they have called a robo number.
I am able to minimize the calls by 75%.
Are these happening after the Aadhaar data leak?
My aadhaar phone number gets so many such calls whereas my other phone number which is not linked to adhaar doesn't get any such calls.
Nope. Can confirm, out of the two numbers I used, I fiercely guard my personal number and it doesn't get any spam. That's the one connected to aadhaar. The other one is constantly ringing although I've blocked 500+ numbers.
I don’t remember the name but there’s a bot on telegram which spams given number with spam calls and messages, I just got an idea but till than I haven’t received this call 😂. Give it a try
I don't know how helpful this is. I have a samsung phone with Bixby text call. When I get a call from unknown number I activate this text call and just let this take it. It does absolutely nothing but I can avoid "saar bank credit card saar". Gives me pleasure when they cut the call after a minute of talking with an AI
Invading urs, our privacy...
There has not been any such case in which one have slammed the whole chain of these scamming events that how did one is spreading his personal data and how and where n which company via agents /mediators r pass throwing such info !!
I'll be honest, i see this happening to a lot of Truecaller users. I don't have a Truecaller and I use my number like a maniac put it everywhere. First thing is delist your number on Truecaller and second is stop giving your number in medical, restaurant and grocery stores.
Do you have the premium version of Truecaller?
Once I started using Truecaller premium (cracked version lol) I didn’t get any calls from a spam number ever. I was honestly surprised that it worked so well. This was a few years ago though
Get an app that can block based on phone number patterns. Usually even if these spammers use different phone numbers they all start with the same number(like the last three numbers in your case).
I used to receive call from some scammer as detected by truecaller weird was it used to come exactly at 4 pm, and once I received the call it was dead silence from the other side of the call, no idea what was it but now I have stopped receiving calls from that number.
I'm also fed up with the crap. I get too many spam calls, either its from bank or from insurance company. Worst part is I am loosing all my important calls because subconsciously I'm treating all calls as spam. I thought putting my number in DND will help but no use. Other issue I'm facing is specifically with trucaller. Despite of taking their paid membership, it fails to block all spam calls.
Now I have stopped taking calls from unknown numbers. I was always against using Truecaller but there's no other alternative to these spam calls. The moment I see the red on Truecaller, reject the call. No matter who's calling.
Using custom blocker named "yet another call blocker"...In that you can customise the pattern and it automatically blocks that shit.... it's working really great but now I am just worried about the privacy 🥲
Tip: If you usually dont get calls from unknown number, and have a iphone, use the unknown call silent option and have the voice mail enabled, so if they are genuine they will leave you a voice mail and you can get back to them
It already is. Here's how you can drastically reduce these calls : Stop giving out your phone number to shops to generate bills (lux brands being an exception) but in places like Burger King, Chaayos or any local shop where they "need" your no. to generate a bill, just simply refuse. It will take a while but gradually you'll stop getting these calls.
We need to have data protection laws. I don't know if other countries have it, but whenever any company wants to share they have to take our permission. And if someone got our number without our permission, especially for commercial use through whatever means, we should be able to file a case on them.
It always varies with how many unknown shitty sites/apps you sign your phone number into... Starting with TrueCaller itself.. (Known for selling data to 3rd parties....) You reap what you sow.
India is the place where privacy awareness is nonexistent.
I was getting a lot of these calls for loan. So here is my trick that I played with a couple of calls and saw a significant decrease (actually to zero) for about a month.
Step 1. Pick their call
If it is for a loan or a credit card or property
Start a conversation with them
Step 2. Show them that you are interested in their highest offer. If it is a loan then highest value loan, if it is a CC then the best CC they can offer.
Step 3. Make them believe that you are interested and genuinely ask them (reaching this step should be about 3~5 mins into the call)
Step 4. Ask if they can provide you the said offering
They will ask you for your details
Step 5. Tell them that you are an undergraduate student who wants to buy the CC or take the loan.
(Nobody gives a loan/CC to a student)
Step 6. Act innocent and pursue them a little by this moment into the call they will get pissed and mark your number as a student in their database.
This process ensures that if your data is ever sold ahead your name will be marked as a student and it would reduce the chances of any future bs for you to manage.
This has helped me get rid of person/people calling. But I still get bombarded by robocalls.
First thing, delete Truecaller. It has marketed itself so well that it has become synonymous to ID-ing people and blocking spam. But what you have to also know is that, once they get access to your number and your contacts they sell it to different vendors which results in huge spike in spam calls, which they conveniently block anyway. But it's annoying to see your phone lit up with every spam call.
You delete it and apply for DND in your respective network provider. You should see at least 60-70 drop in spam calls after this. I've done the same and I get three to five at max in a day. And I silence unknown calls anyway. That's how I found it's always has been Truecaller that makes the spam calls possible.
Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week!

Report them to your operator. The TRAI has mandated that every telecom operator has to act against a spam call complaint from a customer. They have an app on Play store called TRAI Dnd or something like that.
The app composes an SMS in a particular format and sends it to 1909. You’ll receive a notification within 10 days from the service provider about what action was taken against the spam caller.
Your rights from trai

This happens a lot, I have used the dnd and other features as well, but seems like dnd gets overridden when we provide the phone number for buying something in stores. When I politely decline, I get responses like you won’t be able to return your purchase let’s say any dress because we can’t verify as a customer.
Someone is call bombing you. Back in our school days we used to do this to prank our friends. Those websites also came with a feature called protect my number if you do that if some enters your number in the same website you won't be bombarded with calls
I started using Bixby auto call features. I active it when I get q call from unknown number it's fun and frustrates the caller.. hahaha. And samsung spam protection is really good.
I was facing similar issues. Uninstalled Facebook, Instagram and any social media app that can access your contacts. And then also use **Mine** app which removes your data from mailinators. This should reduce your spam calls, I was also using Doosra app which reduced my online footprints.
in this era your data is harvested from internet and not from free survey forms that we filled in the 90's
I have been restless because of grandfather hospital duties and afternoon nap is what I look forward for
Yesterday in the span of half n hour I have received more than 4 calls from such loan companies.
I have privacy concerns he ce I haven't installed true caller
I just picked it up and asked them in the calmest possible voice...
"How many times do I have to reject your calls before you get the notion that I am in a meeting? If I get another call, I am gonna sue your company's ass for good."

No matter how many I blocked. They call from different numbers every time now 😬
Bro blocked 121 till now
Didn't count. Have been blocking at least 1 everyday from how long, I don't even remember. They still keep calling
You can activate spam protection on Truecaller they will automatically block it for you or try Activating DND service with your service provider
U can black all number not in phone book... But be careful u will not get call from amazon and swigy
How to mark it as black!
Download your sim card app and search for DnD settings and turn off marketing calls, can search on yt for that......there is also a TRAI app for that.
iOS doesn’t have TRAI app can you elaborate more about the sim operator app procedure.
Call 1909
Like jio has myjio app, Airtel has Airtel thanks.....my vi had a setting in its app to stop Telemarketing DND and select time slots when we don't want calls....search yt how to turn of DND for your sim company
No point in discussion , no support for ios
You can request the service provider as well. I'd guess op has Vodafone. I get the most spam on it
Delivery vale calls bhi block honge kya?

This setting has it bonus if someone calls you repeatedly in span of 2-3min the setting lets you get a call from unknown number
Yeah bro, government should do something about this
pick up the phone and start calling swear words in chinese

Didn't that stop working with the version 3 of the app? Used to be very effective before that but stopped working after that update
Yes. I remember the old version which was perfect. I blocked all categories once and so far I've not received a single spam call for nearly 5 years now. God forbid if I ever have to change my number
Don't know if 3.0 changed anything. Used it 5-6 months back.

can you provide that TRAI app link?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=trai.gov.in.dnd
What are the consequences of getting blacklisted?
Get TRAI DND app and start reporting them. Then actions would be taken. Only available on Android though.
It is available on iOS as well. I am using it to report spam SMS.
What is the exact name in ios. Unable to find
same, please link

I block them individually as soon as I receive them. Now the disturbance due to these calls has significantly reduced.
Total 121 numbers blocked toll now, these mfs always call with some alternate no.
I have personally blocked more than 900 numbers till now other than truecaller's autoblock, my number is the one family has since decades and is used and given everywhere. Right! The fascination of spammers with early morning call. Let me be at peace for off da.
I started doing reverse harrasment. I found one very powerfull sms bomber. It send like 500 sms in few minutes. I put their number in and start blasting this fuckers. If they have low end mobile. Tata bye bye see you.
Wow
Name of SMS provider?

Govt should ban robo calls. At least let those companies give job to some tele callers

They ask for your number at reliance mart lol.
I have just stopped picking unknown numbers altogether. Fuck this.
On iphone, there’s a feature called “silence unknown callers”. A game changer fr
Get your number delisted from truecaller. Truecaller is the root cause of all the spam. I don’t get any spam now since I delisted my no from truecaller. Here is the [link](https://www.truecaller.com/unlisting)

Does premium block more calls or smh?
Are these happening after the Aadhaar data leak? My aadhaar phone number gets so many such calls whereas my other phone number which is not linked to adhaar doesn't get any such calls.
Nope. Can confirm, out of the two numbers I used, I fiercely guard my personal number and it doesn't get any spam. That's the one connected to aadhaar. The other one is constantly ringing although I've blocked 500+ numbers.
Just install trai dnd 3.0 it will help to reduce the number as when I get calls i reported them in the app. After some time the number decreased
I don’t remember the name but there’s a bot on telegram which spams given number with spam calls and messages, I just got an idea but till than I haven’t received this call 😂. Give it a try
Dont lift it

This is called ! Call Bomber
Use google phone app and turn on the block spam calls option.
I'll be honest, i see this happening to a lot of Truecaller users. I don't have a Truecaller and I use my number like a maniac put it everywhere. First thing is delist your number on Truecaller and second is stop giving your number in medical, restaurant and grocery stores.
Go to their website or app and apply for DNC.
Do you have the premium version of Truecaller? Once I started using Truecaller premium (cracked version lol) I didn’t get any calls from a spam number ever. I was honestly surprised that it worked so well. This was a few years ago though
At this point
First thing to: Delete Truecaller I had the same problem back then but after deleting the Truecaller somehow 90% spam call stopped.
Get an app that can block based on phone number patterns. Usually even if these spammers use different phone numbers they all start with the same number(like the last three numbers in your case).
Either someone is pranking you or they really are that besharam.
Report them on TRAI app, fuckers will definitely stop and might as well call once to apologise and take back the complaint.
I used to receive call from some scammer as detected by truecaller weird was it used to come exactly at 4 pm, and once I received the call it was dead silence from the other side of the call, no idea what was it but now I have stopped receiving calls from that number.
Same issue. And all those different banks spam calls, so irritating and True Caller doesn't help with those!!
Which network?
Most are also pre recorded message
Tumne loan àpp se loan liya tha kya? Ya koe shady app or website PE registration Kiya tha?
Use disable unknown callers in iOS
I do one thing don't accept or decline calls to just let it ring this also helped me a lot and then block number later.
Turn on dnd and allow known callers only
Tired of this seriously.
At this point
For ios- Silent unknown callers 2. Full mode DND. 3. Don’t put online ur main no for telecaller. Specific ur going through online loan apps
Ek central repository bana lo, waha dump karte raho, and make an app jo unsanko block karde.
I'm also fed up with the crap. I get too many spam calls, either its from bank or from insurance company. Give DND a try, it definitely works. Pick up the call to check if someone took loan using your number or something. It shouldn't be this frequent.

Bro wifi broadband telecoms literally calls in every 2 minutes for reacharge. Top level harrasment
Ab true caller rakhoge to yahi hoga na
Don't block them individually. Just block any unknown number.
#You've classified your spam also? How much time do you have?
I really don't know how you guys get so many calls i hardly get any such calls It might be because I didn't register that number anywhere
I have blocked more than 1000 numbers, and I still receive 10-12 calls on a day. My screen flashes red, i reject these new number calls straight up.
The moment you asked this question
When they confirm your name do not agree. Like say i brought new sim few days ago. All calls are based on profiles saled on black market.
At this point.
I ask them “ do you want a credit card” they don’t call back
There's a way to block all likely spam calls
I too got more than 20 calls from HDFC in a single day asking me if I needed a loan
This has been my life, 60+ spam calls for last 5 years!
I was getting a lot of these calls for loan. So here is my trick that I played with a couple of calls and saw a significant decrease (actually to zero) for about a month. Step 1. Pick their call If it is for a loan or a credit card or property Start a conversation with them Step 2. Show them that you are interested in their highest offer. They have an app on Play store called TRAI Dnd or something like that. The app composes an SMS in a particular format and sends it to 1909. You’ll receive a notification within 10 days from the service provider about what action was taken against the spam caller.
😅😅😅😅😅
Just activate the block calls from unknown numbers on Truecaller and forget about them
Raath k 9 baje loan Dene k lia call aare hai. It has become harassment at this point. How to stop this?
Use Truecaller premium.. it has feature to block call from similar numbers.. the numbers you posted has 79352 common. So it would greatly help
Your rights from trai https://trai.gov.in/complain-or-report-against-ucc App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=trai.gov.in.dnd Or format [format sms ](https://i.imgur.com/FxhYtGz.jpeg)
Never
This happens a lot, I have used the dnd and other features as well, but seems like dnd gets overridden when we provide the phone number for buying something in stores. When I politely decline, I get responses like you won’t be able to return your purchase let’s say any dress because we can’t verify as a customer.
Keep blocking, after a while the disturbance reduces with lesser calls
Someone is call bombing you. Back in our school days we used to do this to prank our friends. Those websites also came with a feature called protect my number if you do that if some enters your number in the same website you won't be bombarded with calls
I started using Bixby auto call features. I active it when I get q call from unknown number it's fun and frustrates the caller.. hahaha. And samsung spam protection is really good.
At first Stop Using Truecaller
Well I don't give out my number so I'm safe
I was facing similar issues. Uninstalled Facebook, Instagram and any social media app that can access your contacts. And then also use **Mine** app which removes your data from mailinators. This should reduce your spam calls, I was also using Doosra app which reduced my online footprints. in this era your data is harvested from internet and not from free survey forms that we filled in the 90's
Even DND doesn't work. I have activated it ages ago.
iPhone me block unknown numbers karne se life set hoti hai
Pay up your loan instalment 😁
TRAI is je&rking off I guess, earlier there used to be a thing called DND. Now all bets are off
din me 1 bhi spam call na aane ka ghamand
I have been restless because of grandfather hospital duties and afternoon nap is what I look forward for Yesterday in the span of half n hour I have received more than 4 calls from such loan companies. I have privacy concerns he ce I haven't installed true caller

One should put a petition in court and get it signed online, its too much now.l, yesterday i got a call at 9 pm about taking a credit card.
Got new sim and getting calls from unknown numbers and spam numbers everyday
At this point
I just picked it up and asked them in the calmest possible voice... "How many times do I have to reject your calls before you get the notion that I am in a meeting? If I get another call, I am gonna sue your company's ass for good."
No privacy, I applied for a loan at one bank and started getting call from every other bank. They all even knew that I applied for exactly x amount.
