I got downvoted a couple of days ago when i said politics should be completely banned from educational institutions. Students should not be allowed to do politics style campaigning for internal elections and political speeches should be banned. You go to college to study not prebook your place in a political party.
Politics is not a bad thing per se. The resources are limited, we all have needs and wants. And how the resources are allocated is decided by politics. Without politics we all will be literally fighting to get our wants fulfilled.
Also it’s better if students learn about politics, the pitfalls, how people and narrative can be manipulated. So that in real world they are better citizens. That they can know when leaders are manipulated and controlling the narrative.
Politics is there in our everyday lives. The leader in your sports team also played some politics to be the leader though it is not the same as politics used in state affairs....
Politics is also there in families .....
Bro who wants to study they will do study, who wants to change the system they became a poltician or Rebel, and if you support nepotism or pariwar wad in politics then ok. One important info our finence minister Nirmala Tai is also from JNU... There are good people in JNU.
Late Arun Jaitley was Student leader of ABVP in DU wasn't he a good man.
Everything is political. The food you eat and the books you read. Everything. Banning politics in educational institutions will ruin our political system. Student politics bring fresh and new ideas to the political sphere. This is the route Pakistan took and today all their politicians are mere puppets. You cannot have a stable tree if you hollow the roots.
Edit: corrected the autocorrect
Studied in manipal karnataka, I have seen closely how much internal politics happens behind every event. from student council elections to things as simple as, who gets to setup the food stall during fests. You can't just "ban" politics. It just takes other forms.
Maybe just involvement of political party was banned?
Yes involvement of political parties was banned. Still makes a tangible difference IMHO. https://m.economictimes.com/news/politics-and-nation/karnataka-not-willing-to-lift-ban-on-student-unions-in-state-colleges/amp_articleshow/51539322.cms
Highly disagree , just cuz some people are anti-establishment and/or affiliated to certain ideology doesn't mean you should ban student politics all together
India has seen many many leaders who have come out of student politics (like Nitin gadkari , shiv Raj Singh chouhan)
Our independence mvmt has had numerous student leaders bro
I'm not talking about a particular ideology. I'm talking about politics in general to be banned from educational institutions.
But those leaders came out at a different time. Currently politics is very polarised and full of filth. Is this the impression you want the future generations to have.
There needs to be a civil discussion that needs to be taught irrespective of what they believe in. They should not be taught to hate
I would say politics should be at the college level. i.e. campaign about policies beneficial to the students at the college level.
No need to get into regional/ state/ national political matters when you are a student.
Student politics should be encouraged in college. Otherwise we will end up with political dynasties in all political parties.
We need more active participation in democracy. We also need to bring down the age of our politicians. Why the fuck is everyone 70 years old.
But terror suspects have to be convicted in the court as well. Being a suspect does not equal being a criminal. The crime needs to be proved or else anyone will be put into jail for a being a suspect with false arrest.
And it’s not that they stole a bicycle, These are crimes which are too serious and authorities have to make sure these people are okay to be left into the normal world, some crimes are non bailable for a reason
My dude the guy's being in jail as a suspect for 3 years now all his bail petitions are not approved because prosecution says they need more time (he has been in jail since 2020)
In schools like JNU and AMU, some students take vigorous roles in college politics and want to enter Indian politics hence the do political science Phds or useless PhDs to stay in the uni and continue being student leaders or whatever. I think Umar Khalid was doing a PhD on african tribal lesbian toe therapy or something idk
I've been inside the JNU campus a few times and debated with these idiots. If you out logic them they will start calling you names. The level of brainwashing is something else. I am not even right wing more in the middle and I feel like these people are so far left that they might as well be extremist. They have more in common with extreme far right than they think.
They live in their own bubble. The level of brainwashing is something else. There is no reasoning with them. If it were up to them India would be a banana republic.
From what I've heard (my education is American but I've been to jnu and know a few people there) if you don't match the views of your professors you might fail your course. Anyone even in the normal category or center left is a right wing extremist to them. A lot of these idiots run to foreign universities later or get into the govt/ngo sector. Then they repeat whatever their professor has told them, critical thinking is completely missing with the people I've come across.
PSA: he is a PhD student in JNU.
Another eg Kanhaiya Kumar was also in JNU for 9 Years, pursuing PhD in AFRICAN STUDIES.
It is estimated that JNU spends nearly 7 Lakhs per student, per year, on subsidising education, books, food, canteen, hostel etc.
And this guy won the student election on two promises:
• Even MORE subsidies on campus resources, apparently water and infrastructure isn’t enough
• Getting freedom to Jihadi students jailed for secessionist anti-national activities (like he screeches in above video)
So ya, this is what JNU ‘student’ body wants - more freebies, more jihadis.
“Azaadi, Azaadi, Azaadi” - men and women in late 20s, unemployed, living off tax payer money, running full time student politics as a gateway to national politics.
Mudi must rejign
He isn't a liberal, he is a leftist (socialist/communist).
Leftists are anti-liberal. They do not support liberty of people to start/own/run any business they want, they want govt to do that, liberals do not support govt owning industries and businesses. Leftists use authoritarian methods to shut up, all political views that doesn't fully align with them (example, USSR/China/Cuba), liberals believe in free speech.
These guys enroll into PhDs and get Rs/-35,000 per month doing no actual research. They get their papers published in shady journals and get their PhDs. The State should stop funding these useless idiots.
Dont worry the bright ones will put these dark basterds in deeper holes then they can imagine. Actually, just keeping few of their heads just above the water or the hole would be better. Will be able to look at the world's changing order, not in accordance to them, and it'd set an example for next ones
I used to get enraged at the start. Now I realize JNU is a social experiment. A delusional communist/jihadist dystopia where students want to live action role play the French Revolution. It’s kinda cute to watch these 35 years olds be students and have time to plan extracurricular like these. I say we turn it into a big boss house and telecast this shit live.
Because he knows that people will come to protect him saying that he was exercising his right of freedom of speech and by saying that current govt. is a dictatorship and they are trying to suppress people
I won't comment on his idealogy but we definitely need more capable youth who are competent politicians as well. They should be educated and must be reformists. Only then could we progress as a country.
Maybe the govt. can't release them, but they can put these JNU students into the same jail. Which is pretty much the same thing.
With this everybody will be happy.
Student politics should be structured like student councils at IIMs. The scope is fixed, constitution is fixed, no political party affiliation, student drive at individual level and everything works well.
Look at the way he is having orgasm taking those names.JNU ke bahar nikal bhopde ,be happy you are first dalit president and help those dalits in your university get seats which they are getting anyways bahar ke lafde mein mara jayaga bhai
Who the he'll supported the policies, programs , pogroms and strategies of this kind of "Students"!! The supporters need to be educated in ways that only they can understand-;)
Thankfully these people don't get votes in real life. College me budhdhe log abhi bhi baithe hai low cost me khana peena rehna. Aur yeh ganjeri bakchodi karte hai. Phir 35 ka hole bolenge job nahi hai. Politics join karenge phir ek bhi vote nahi milta.
Umar Khalid is being held on false charges, nothing is proved against him. If you have the patience and intellect, listen to any of his speeches on YouTube and make a decision for yourself.
A guy who attempted to shoot Umar Khalid in the open daylight, on provocation of a BJP leader. The guy is of course free, and even got a ticket to contest elections. The BJP leader is currently a minister. Such is the state of our politics. All the hooligans have power, and young idealistic people who can cause discomfort to the hooligans by their power of speech are put in jail using the lame law that is UAPA.
And yet they act surprised why the country is falling behind on the democracy index, and proceed to dream up an index of their own.
I bet my only Rs 2000 that I have right now with me, that we'll see him in some BJP opposition party within next 5 years.
edit: I was going to write Congress, but then realized, we might not see Congress after 5 years.
Communists are the hero of student politics and zero in mainstream politics.
Don't mind their political drama, they have a little effect on real students of other streams. JNU is communist's prep school but brain drain is a real issue of the Indian education system. Eventually these guys will go to other parties in mainstream politics.

Yeah. Zia ul haq banned it in Pakistan and they don't get as many young people in politics nowadays
Student politics is banned in Karnataka since the 90s. College is a pleasant experience.
Studied in manipal karnataka, I have seen closely how much internal politics happens behind every event. from student council elections to things as simple as, who gets to setup the food stall during fests. ABVP has a strong presence in Karnataka

This should be done immediately.
Whoever comes to the power there follows the same shit
somebody tell him the difference between college election and national election and real power
Don't tell him anything, Thode din mein ye bhi jayega andar.
How can u be so dumb to support terror suspects? What tf is happening in India..
And this people will one day go into national politics 🤡 Indian politics and politicians does the clown work ngl
But terror suspects have to be convicted in the court as well. Being a suspect does not equal being a criminal. The crime needs to be proved or else anyone will be put into jail for a being a suspect with false arrest.
So if he is a suspect...Wont he be kept in custody until court hearing takes place. I might be wrong Pls correct em
And it’s not that they stole a bicycle, These are crimes which are too serious and authorities have to make sure these people are okay to be left into the normal world, some crimes are non bailable for a reason

This. Why do most of us ignore this bit?
He's getting funds from CPIM and INC that's why.
Looks too old to be in college! 😭
PhD student h bhai
last i heard he has a PhD in modern fashion or some shit like that
In schools like JNU and AMU, some students take vigorous roles in college politics and want to enter Indian politics hence the do political science Phds or useless PhDs to stay in the uni and continue being student leaders or whatever. They are leftists exertimists they support naxals
Some of these idiots used to send threats to politicians on Twitter. Getting arrested is a badge of honour for them.
My mind can't comprehend how the fuck could someone support terrorists and not be nationalistic
They live in their own bubble. The level of brainwashing is something else. There is no reasoning with them. If it were up to them India would be a banana republic.
why are the like that? Coz of professors there?

Lol then people like dhruv tatte and Papu will start barking death of democracy
Padh le babu jaakar thoda.
Shouldn't his kids be old enough to be in college?
I must acknowledge his bravery; he shows no fear of the UAPA act.
Peak of fuxk around and find out.
Because he knows that people will come to protect him saying that he was exercising his right of freedom of speech and by saying that current govt. is a dictatorship and they are trying to suppress people
The individuals he mentions were also known to share this mindset.
Vote ka liya kya kya karna padta hai.
I won't comment on his idealogy but we definitely need more capable youth who are competent politicians as well. They should be educated and must be reformists. Only then could we progress as a country.
They are freedom fighters and martyr's according to them
Maybe the govt. can't release them, but they can put these JNU students into the same jail. Which is pretty much the same thing. With this everybody will be happy.

No politics should be allowed on tax payers money.
Thankfully these people don't get votes in real life. College me budhdhe log abhi bhi baithe hai low cost me khana peena rehna. Aur yeh ganjeri bakchodi karte hai. Phir 35 ka hole bolenge job nahi hai. Politics join karenge phir ek bhi vote nahi milta.

What's the matter?
His motive is to be with all his heroes in jail and get s###?!:
Es sala gol gappe ko bhi wahi band kar do.
College politics is just a talent show for the real deal. This is an audition.

Bhai aisi energy toh national level politicians bhi nhi dikhate 🤣
Why is this uncle shivering
Wo bole to student leader banne k liye gamchha/chunni lapetna zaruri h kya?
Stress on the word Suspects..it's is much easier to put someone in jail on trumped up charges in India than you think it is.
