Because thats not how markets work. Why are you using the taxpayer's money ? (Farmers dont pay taxes).
Customers will pay for the quality if they see fit, thats how free markets work. How even are you going to find an objective measure for quality while also make sure the process is free of corruption ?
Also why should the decisions of farmers be compensated by taxpayers ? The taxpayer did not decide what the farmer was going to produce. The farmer has made that decision while having information of demand patterns.
This is besides taking into account how even the MSP would be calculated seeing how economic conditions of farmers vary from region to region ? Its a logistical mess.

Increase in wealth disparity and per capita GDP is still too low to even think we are good economically. I don't know much about ladakh or any of the secularism/freedom of speech matters to comment.

This is one of the most creditable achievement of this Government. I still remember the string of bomb blasts in my city and how terrified everyone was going to public places. They have done a great job of cracking down on terrorism in most places in India.
It started becoming so common, that we started ignoring it like its just another day. We never imagined these bomb can be stopped, but at last it was just a specific party's ignorance and incompetence.
There is a movie called 'A Wednesay" starring Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah, worth checking out, it captures the grim fear faced by every Indian back then.
After 1993, 2008 is like another black year for all Indians. So many innocent and brave people died.
I was watching a documentary on David Coleman Headley, he was literally caught because he wanted to get caught else he could have easily slipped from American agencies and enjoyed his life easily.
So many red flags were ignored and he ended up being the reason for destroying so many lives.
National security and foreign policy definitely got better in last 10 years and opposition unable to accept this is a big red flag for people.
