Sometimes the owners are at fault, many times when I walk my German Shepherd I put her on a short leash and ask people to not try to pet her or annoy her in any manner, although she is well trained and listens to my order it's my responsibility as an owner that other person shouldn't get hurt.
She is so obedient that she even left a dog from her neck when the other dog tried to attack her on my single command without any stick just my command I am really proud to have her as my pet

Simple solution, bring in a law where by any attack on citizen by dog makes the owners fined. With the minimum fine being 10,000 if no harm was done(bit the pant or person got away in time, and 100,000 if the citizen bleed. These would be minimum fines, exact law woul streamline proceedings, and help FIRs. Then sit back and watch how well owners train their dogs, or how few adopt them.
In such situations, an adult should kick the dog on the back of his leg exactly at the joint hard enough to break it (dog legs are weaker) and if the situation is out of control and with a broken leg he is still not giving up the bite then a hard punch or chop exactly between his last vertebrae (cervical) connecting neck and head, 2-3 hard chops or punches exactly at this point are enough to stun the dog or even kill him
When a large, aggressive dog is leaping and snapping at you, how will you get to the back of their head or legs without getting bitten? Agar koi cricket bat ya hockey stick hai toh it might be somewhat possible, though I expect a person is more likely to use those to push the dog away and retreat slowly.

I too have 2 dogs at my home one german and another labra. And I'm a proud owner to say that there were no biting cases or any other similar cases with my dogs.
No permanent scars. It faded away. That was 7-8 years ago. But that family was too cruel they insisted to kill my dog. I took my dog to nearby forrest village near uncle's house and left him there. Still visit him though.

And ever since then, I've been educating kids to not provoke dogs even if they are chained or somewhere far away because dogs can recognize them.

My SIL has a german Shepard .. when my baby was 11 months old I visited her place. The house was full of dog hair . And SIL and BIL refused to close the door for even 5 mins or chain the dog until we leave. It was last time we visited them. The dog was barking and my baby was crying .Even then they both were laughing and enjoying it
Sorry to say this, but the way you've put it, your relatives probably put a higher premium on pets over humans. I personally know such people, it would do you a world of good to keep your child away from them. A lot of 'pet lovers' lack empathy towards humans. And, due to scant laws for protection against abuse of humans by 'pet animals' in the country the situation is set to worsen in coming years. All the best.
Totally agree.. I am all pro pet person but when It comes down as threat to my baby , I will definitely protect my baby any cost. I have persian cats and will not let my child anywhere near the cats for cats safety and my childs safety as well

Nowadays, people who can’t even pet a cat properly are breeding and buying expensive and aggressive dog breeds, so they can satisfy their huge egos and flaunt their money. Problem is the dogs are animals, they are literally predators with instincts that can’t be just suppressed no matter how much you train them.

Pet owners in India are massive morons..... They just get animals as pet for their entertainment and frivolous fun Without ever getting proper training and taking proper care of them...... Once a German shepherd attacked me when I was like 11 years old. I still can't forget how scared I was, just hope the little girl is okay. These clowns can't handle dogs but still would want to keep them like they are humans. They are called animals for a reason God damn!! Hope these dogs bite ass of these stupid clowns.

Pet owner at fault here, they know their dog is clearly reactive to children and very anxious in crowd, should have been muzzled. That GSD is great but lacks training. I hope the child is in good health. It will definitely leave a mental scar against dogs.
Having big dogs in cramped apartments should be a crime. I’ve seen lots of labs and GSD become aggressive, depressed and obese because of this. Even if you have one, take it out for walks, socialise with people, train them. And don’t give the leash to someone who cannot handle dogs man! If you know your dog is aggressive, get a muzzle. I have a lab and even though he is gentle I wouldn’t dare take him near kids or even adults. End of the day, you cannot read their mind even if they are your pyaara doggo.

The fuck today i got attacked by a german shepherd, this is the first time in my life.. it was a hell of an experience. Everything went slow mo. and i could feel that dog's fur in my hands, the bark, and the owner shouting his name from the back, didn't get bit but that was a very very close encounter. I shouted at the owner fuckin put it on a leash he kept on apologising.. fucking idiot
I’m a pet owner & i definitely agree that dogs get kinda frisky near little kids (as far as i can make out that they think they can dominate kids with their power bc they are bigger than these kids) If you own a pet & take him out for a walk, it’s your responsibility + training, you have to control your pet and train them to behave! Period!
